I am having touch screen trouble with my Xiaomi MI5 phone ,its becoming unresponsive and i have to restart the phone several times in a single day ,I have tried flashing the phone with the latest MU,but I'm still having the issues
would you please help me to find a solution

I got that issue too, but not that often. Its randomly, sometime 3 time a day but sometime 3/4 days.. Dunno what wrong, my mi 5 with global latest, no root or other customization thing.

Hy all, i have an MI5 pro from 7 months now and from 2 months now i have several issues and i need help:
1) first issue - 5 times it happent, even now when i wrote this - i cant make or receive calls, when i do the calling or answer the call my phone freezes and the only way to make the phone work again - restart.
2) 2nd issue - the phone has no sound, cant listen to audio or calls.
3) 3rd issue - besides no sound, now the videos dont work anymore.
So my current phone state is this - no calls (done or incomming), no sound and no video.
Ive tried reflashing 5 times with china rom and global rom, and the same result.
Ive tried even lineage rom and still the same.
What to do, these problems could be software or hardware?

From what you're saying,it might be a hardware problem.
Try a Fastboot ROM flash.
Then report.

Then it's most likely to be a hardware problem mate.
If fastboot ROM can't do it,nothing else can do it.

Before i send my phone back to Spemall - china, can anyone tell me is there a self diagnose app or something to find out what is going on with my phone?
There's a diagnose test in miui,go to settings,about phone,now press several times on kernel version.

This is very wierd, ive reinstalled miui over lineage and it works again, if will happen again ill video it to all see what is going on.

那就应该是硬件问题了，楼主节哀吧。It should be a hardware problem,restrain your grief.
Hello everybody, I've got my z2 pro a few days ago and almost from the first day I'm experiencing overheating problem. It not depends on ROM or software but it just heating over and over. When I'm putting it asleep - it cools down, but when I'm starting to use it - it heats much, usual temperature of CPU is above 45°C. I don't know if it's a bug or a hardware issue but i can't get my money back next I've got this device from some guy on my local analog of eBay over post and now I'm asking you to help me to cool it down at least a bit. What I've already tried is underclocking, restoring to stock ZUI, editing thermal config and i think that's all. On stock it's a bit cooler but only on a few degrees, and when I'm starting to watch YouTube or just serfing web - it's starts to heat very quickly. Thanks for your attention and please, if somebody know some way to fix it - tell me! That would be awesome!:fingers-crossed:
I got a zuk z2 pro a couple of days ago and tried cosmicOS and now I'm on AEX 5.2. I got overheating on both ROMs. I haven't seen people talking about overheating in the threads about these ROMs, so I assume it's a problem with our devices, maybe? Have you solved your problem or you just got rid of your zuk?
The best way is to flash zui 1.9.104 by qfil . It lock your bootloader . Then update to 2.5.462 by ota . Unlock bootloader and flash the last firmware 3.5.259 and custom rom of your choice .

have same problem but it always start after a few days of flashing new rom but it happens on every rom zui aex and same thing happened on zuk z2 plus i didnt find anything about it everyone just said to flash kernel or smth like that

If it's not starting to overheat in the first day of usage of new ROM - then you just should find ROM without overheating, because in your case - it's software-related issue and nothing more. Mine was with bad thermointerface or smth like that... And now i'm not an owner of zuk anymore so i cant test any of available ROMs to check if it happens to me

I have benn using Mi 5 for about a year.And from the second week I used custom rom in it.I used almost all rom available for mi5 both Nougat and oreo.In different oreo roms I have faced a very annoying problem.Randomly the sound stop to work.A restart solve this problem.But this is very annoying.You can't predict when this is happen.microphone also stop working.phone call,ok google detection doesn't work.
Most surprising fact is,it is not constant in rom.I mean iy is not a bug of the rom.Because in same rom sometimes it happens and sometime doesn't. Like in los,I am facing this problem right now.But noT previous time.

I also spotted this. I was just playing football for like 2-3 hours (so i naturaly keep phone somewhere) and when i ended the sound was DEAD, restart solved it But still i dont know why it happened. LOS 15.1
so I have a k20pro device (chinese rom, imported from china), bought it last year. I worked fine at first. However when I tried to upgrade it to MIUI 10 (chinese rom). It got freezing and blackscreen. the store said it was the screen problem and suggest screen replacement. I refused due to the high price. Then I just put the phone there until today, after 8 month I open it and upgrade to UI11 and it is working better. it still has freezing but no permanent black screen.
is that the software or hardware issue?

Guys im 90% sure its hw issue, i had touchscreen issues till i got new screen. Sometimes when i wanted to check what time is it and unlock my phone, touchscreen wasnt responding till the moment when the touchscreen was completly dead. I think many k20s has some touchscreen issues, but for the price its worth it.
It is a software issue. It started after the upgrade to MIUI 12 and it mostly happens when I use the Uber app. I usually have to restart the device. It is not a hardward issue. I think it should be solved after the next update.

Hey, I got the same issue with my K20 pro. And clearly ts not software issue.
I tried many things, Searched many sites.
All k20 pro user whether are on miui 10 or 11 or 12 experiencing this problem.
my worst luck is i m still under warrenty but i got a little crack on my phone within 10 days of purchase, it has been 10 month since than. my phone was working fine and suddenly i am experiencing this issue. my phone is completely blank now. Service center not taking it under warrenty since it broke.

today i've bought my new zenfone 8, i was leaving a xiaomi mi 10 because of proximity sensor problems and miui instability.
read lots of reviews about zenfone 8 and all were enthusiasts... today after buying it i found a first post about ramdump, since today afternoon i've read lots of posts....

will it die? are there people wich had this phone (04/21 batch) without problems? searching around in forums seems that anyone sooner or later had the problem... so the phone is in the box and i don't know if i will return it or keep it... give me a little trust in this phone

I have phone of same batch 04/2021 and had ramdump once. But I easilly quit it with keys combo. I do not know why it works for some but not for others.

There is 35 confirmed cases of this issue and it might not be the same issue as Ramdump is just something zenfone 8 falls back to when there is a problem with the phone. Who knows how many (tens of thousands) people are there without any issues.
I would say relax and enjoy your phone. Don't unlock the bootloader so you don't lose the warranty, but other than that just use it normally.
I just checked and I also have MFD 04.2021. I never had any problems (not that I am aware of) so I never bothered to check before. Does the problem only happen on certain devices? I have the basic version with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB ROM. Happy customer so far.
EDIT: I am running stock firmware, if that matters. Haven't altered anything (yet).

With Lineage 18.1, it worked great for a day, maybe even less. Now I get at least a couple ramdumps every day.

The problem in the official forum is a "one time" thing, if you get the "waiting for flashing full ramdump", its bricked and you can't do a thing, beside sending it in.
On my brand new ZenPhone 8 running Lineage for Microg 8.1 October 7th version I'm getting the ramdump screen, but only under specific circumstances:
1. not connected to wifi/wifi off
2. on a call
3. have headphones plugged in to the jack
it almost always crashes within 20 seconds. If any of those conditions are not met it works fine (or at least appears to so far). I've tested this ~8 times in a row with all other (known) variables remaining constant.
When it crashes, pressing power for ~15 seconds shuts it down, and it can then be started normally. I hope this helps anyone else e countering the same problem.

Yes! My first time with this issue. Never before.
I'm on the lastest Android 12 stock rom (UL-ASUS_I006D-ASUS-31.1010.0410.72-1.1.25-2204-user).
- Unlocked BL
- Rooted with Magisk 23
- Kirisakura_Sake_S_2.0.1 flashed with EXKM
- Only one Magisk module (Font_Manager-v5_6_4-117)
I was playing a game (Zombie Tsunami ). I got my screen freezing, ... dark screen and ramdump issue.

I have too MF 4.2021 - using since 5-2021. I'm very happy with this phone. For all this time I'v got only landscape bug on video - fixed with OTA update.
I'm using stock soft - Android 12 31.1010.0410.72
