Yeap Under security, hit the gear next to screen lock and you'll see it in there. This build is awesome BTW. Just Booted up off a clean flash, even wiped internal storage. Flashed the latest + open gapps 7.1 nano, +sound boost mod and all's working perfect. Still playing around in the settings, but working perfect so far. :good:
Just curious. Should busybox be installed to su/xbin or system/xbin. I just noticed there's no busybox installed.
Edit: never mind Looks like su/xbin. Still running great. I'll try a few more mods and play and see how she goes. Still all good so far though.
Substratum should work on this, correct?

Not too sure, you'd have to try. I've just been trying a couple things myself and a couple notes. L speed works just fine. I set all settings for moderate battery saving, rebooted and works like a charm. Titanium does work for restoring apps if in supersu setting you disable mount namespace separation and then choose SD card in the TiBu preferences. It just says SD not writable. So what you could do is restore all your apps from SD and when you back up, back up to internal storage and cut/paste those over app backups on the SD. Still playing, but still all looking good.

Flashing Steps:
NOTE: You should also make sure you are on one of the most recent firmware versions shipping with your device. I'll try to provide specific information as needed, and occasional flashable firmware files too.
Coming from another rom
NOTE: If you are coming from OOS, you need to FORMAT your /data partition. This is where TWRP asks you to type "yes" to proceed, and is where you will delete all your personal files on your phone. So, BACK THEM UP!
(As an alternate method, you can put the device in fastboot, and use "fastboot format userdata")
1) Download Candy8.1
2) Download Oreo Gapps
3) Boot into recovery (TWRP)
4) Full wipe (Dalvik Cache, Cache, System, Factory Data Reset)
5) Flash Candy8.zip
6) Flash Gapps
7) Reboot
Updating from previous Candy8 release
1) Download Candy8.zip (See Post #2)
2) Boot into recovery
3) Flash Candy8.zip
4) Wipe Dalvik
5) Wipe Cache'
6) Reboot
IMPORTANT - PROBLEMS/ISSUES:
If you have issues, you need to provide both of the following:
Logs from you (logcat, last_kmsg, dmesg) linked to on pastebin.com or hasteb.in, showing the failure.
A clear description of the steps that I need to take to exactly reproduce the problem.
Please DO NOT complain about problems and offer nothing to help fix it. I reserve the right to ignore you for not following insructions...
NO ETA REQUESTS!
-Please give first boot a good few minutes.
-New additions and fixes being added constantly...
Special thanks to GZOSP, GZR-Roms, LineageOS, SlimRoms, Omni, TeslaROM, and all the rest who make their source open. We can't do all of this on our own.

Cannot comment on the battery backup right now, need to use it for few days to know..the reason for sharing this ROM was for its tons of customization which are the USP of this ROM.
Great work by the ROM team..:good:
I have flashed this ROM by this morning, since then I started loving it.. it has tons and tons of customization.... many are not present in other custom ROMS..
My Quick Observations so far are
* Buttery smooth ROM
* Tons of customization
* No heating issue.. even with heavy usage..
I will comment the battery backup after using it for few days.
A must try ROM I would say!! Thanks a lot to the dev team !!

Thanks worked . Keep up the great work ✌?
Bugs
Overall the ROM is good and there are tons of customisation.... Battery backup is good but it is a little less than AOSP Ex... Smooth performance..
Bugs-
1. The lock-screen goes blank for 3-4 sec after every customisation. But it becomes normal after some times. I think its a bug in Ambient display.
2. There's a little error in Slow Motion camera and High speed frames...
But overall, good work devs..
Bug in camera, scanner is'nt working

Hi, Can u give steps to reproduce this, which scanner didn't work ..
The rom is beautiful and did not notice any major bugs yet. But slight a small bug i "heard" while earphones plugged in and music is on sometimes when the next song is played after one the music gets a little distorted or something like that then i have to pause the music and play again then it clears properly. Overall good rom and loved it many customisation battery is also decent as oreo. And just wanted to know will this continue to get updates ?

Warning !
Ok, I try to flash with TWRP like other rom but I had error 7, so no system, no problem I restore my backup but after 15 % error 255, can't mount /system, start to panic finally redelete everything and flash my old RR 7.1.2 zip and seems to reworks so I'm searching to resolve error 7 but I'm warning you it actually doesn't work for me. I'm going to retry after a reboot (it's actually booting).

That's a pity, your builds work better.
Anyway, thanks for your work and for bringing Havoc for our device (I really love this ROM!).
After one week usage of this room I don't found any bug. Just one thing when the weather was above 35°C inside my house, when I was doing Google image search the device was really really hot, I couldn't handle the phone for the first time so I stopped using it and turned off, it still working Battery is correct without battery saving for a 3yo phone, 10am to 17pm with YouTube, Spotify, chrome and CarXdrifting. Probably the best Oreo rom for our device thank you very much for keeping this device updated.

We are NOT responsible for anything that may happen to your device as a result of flashing ROMs, kernels, or installing any other mod. You are responsible for your own actions and bad decisions - so stop blaming others!
This is a user friendly thread. Please be respectful and courteous to other users. While feature requests will be considered, AquariOS tries to maintain a ROM that is smooth and stable, so adding every feature under the sun is not the plan here.
READ!1. Unless I tell you otherwise, you MUST always, absolutely, positively, most certainly wipe data AND system before flashing AquariOS...without a doubt!
2. Don't report bugs if you haven't followed directions - most likely it's user error at that point as far as I'm concerned.
3. Always run a backup before doing anything.

ROM: Latest AquariOS build
Q & A
Read this before telling everyone something is broken!
1. Android Pay isn't working!! What do I do?
Go into Magisk settings and toggle on the "Hide Magisk" option. Then try again. Also, I've found once in a great while, even with this enabled, it will say it failed - if this happens, just try again...it'll work.
2. It's bootlooping after flashing ROM with Magisk - now what?
Don't flash Magisk until you have already booted into the new AquariOS build at least once. If that wasn't your issue, sometimes Substratum overlays can cause bootloops. If you have anything applied, flash the SubstratumRescue zip from your substratum directory
3. Why is the built-in System Theme section greyed-out (background, accent, & fonts)?
When the Substratum app is installed, this section will become inaccessible in order to prevent conflicts. You CANNOT use them both at once!
Reporting a bug?
See how to do so here:
BEFORE REPORTING A BUG:
1. Flash the SubstratumRescue zip and see if your issue is still there.
2. If you have flashed a custom kernel or ANY OTHER MODs, delete 'data/system/packages_cache' then wipe dalvik/cache, and flash AquariOS again WITHOUT any additional modifications/custom kernel.
3. Check to see if your issue persists.
*Do NOT even bother reporting an issue if you have dirty-flashed AquariOS over some other ROM! We WILL be able to tell!
Logs are crucial to resolving almost any kind of issue. You need to provide a log in order for the issue to be addressed. Please also include info on how to reproduce the reported bug if possible (maybe even take a screen recording for us ).
If you need a log extracting app, try out CatLog!
Either save your log locally and share it, or paste your log into an online code sharing tool like hastebin.com - then share the URL after hitting the SAVE icon.

Much appreciated. My main concern is data (I don't daily this phone anymore so I don't have a sim in either of my matas) and my next concern is USB working. If mtp doesn't work let me know. I have another build that *should* fix that but my USB seems okay.
This ROM is da ****.

Ohhhhh yeah that. I don't think it's in the plans. Sorry
The build runs smooth and well so far, but VoLTE isn't available.
When hitting restart via power menu while charging, phone goes into bootloader instead of restarting
Sent from my PH-1 using Tapatalk
Can confirm too, I reboot to bootloader when rebooting while charging.
That's a little weird
Can confirm reboot to fastboot when plugged in, but it doesn't happen all the time. Am rooted with Magisk 19 and have TWRP patched in.
Also, Android Auto car communication is broken. It shows a "connected to your car" notification from Google Play Services, but nothing appears on the car's console, and opening the Android Auto app shows the system on the phone's screen.
Dont use magisk 19 that's what's causing the restart bootloop
is aquarios getting more updates?

HavocOS 3.8 Unofficial for SM-A520X & SM-A720X
This ROM was only built by me. I do not deserve much credit. As such I have not included a donation URL for myself.
Please instead give donations to the people who helped make the resources for building this project available to me.
If you require support please contact me before the developers of HavocOS or LineageOS. This is an unofficial build,
and will likely remain unofficial. Bugs should be same as LineageOS as most of the device-specific code used here
is from Lineage (sources linked below). Additionally, this thread and this thread were shamelessly harvested to create
this one. If the authors of those threads wish for me to redesign this thread without the usage of their thread contents
please contact me.
NOTE: I only own an A520W, and I have not tested cellular connectivity as I do not have a spare sim card. I have tested
most other functionality and found no issues on the A520W. This should work just fine for all A520X and A720X models,
however these devices have not been tested with this ROM so I cannot guarantee funcitonality. This should be implied with all custom ROMs, but flash at your own risk.
Enjoy the ROM!

"Ambient/Always On Display Brightness Configuration"
So we can adjust the brightness of AOD?
yes, under havoc settings
specifically there's an override option so that even if your device is at 90% brightness aod can be locked at whatever brightness you configure, for better battery life
Good job, You will continue updating if any bugs appear, could you add donations in bitcoin cryptocurrencies?

due to the similarities between these roms and their sources it is possible that you could do this without experiencing issues, but I always recommend clean flashing for these situations. you can try dirty flashing, but you might run in to issues
as for official please refer to the note at the top of the thread
tl;dr official unlikely

I will do my best to keep the ROM up to date and fix any bugs I can, but i do not believe that I deserve donations for something I have contributed so little to, and even if I did I do not work with Bitcoin
as for skulshady's donations you will have to ask in the havoc os telegram linked in the thread, I have simply copied his donation information from one of his havoc os threads
Hii any bugs in this rom?
Hi. The gps for me seems to have not working or finding correct coordination. Could you guys recommend any gps fix file or erc?ì
Sound picker does not work. Cant change ringtone. Otherwise no bug or problem.
I wanted to flash this rom as it looks very attractive and customizable. I have a galaxy a7 2017 dual sim on oreo 8.0 with latest security updates available for the device.
I have general idea about adb , twrp, flashing. But have not done personally yet. How risky it is to flash this rom on a scale of 1-10?
What are the bugs that could potentially be a deal breaker. Thanks to anyone who's up for helping. looking forward to flashing if I get proper guidance from any professionals.

Very little risk as you should always be able to reflash the stock firmware through Odin, all you need to do is download the latest official twrp build and flash through either Odin or Heimdall and then flash the ROM through twrp

Which device are you on? Any issue with apps or anything else?
Just installed twrp recovery but it doesn't mount internal storage..only mounts if format data is done.. but how do i flash if storage is formatted where i put the rom files.
I know this question should be on twrp forum. But i am asking here just to ask if while the internal storage is unmounted and i format data and then use a sd card to flash rom and gapps , will it work ?

You have to format data, then just use a pc to copy the ROM files back over after or copy the ROM files to an external SD card and flash them that way
