So i tried to rebrand my chinese huawei honor 9 lite to an european version, i was close to finishing it, then i made a mistake and reset my phone. After my phone opened again all the apps were different color, for example the calculator was orange before i reseted after reset it turned to grey. Also the settings app before was in homescreen now i need to drag down from top of the screen to open settings and worst of all when i click the back up and restore button in settings its blank i can factory reset but it doesnt reset back to the the start where i select language it resets back to the phone homescreen where i swip to unlock and also before reset there was hi apps or app gallery after reset no app gallery. Before reset bootloader was unlocked after reset for some reason it says its locked again. I tried to enter e recovery but when i do factory data reset it doesn't reset to the choose a language section it resets back to homescreen. Also when i go to about phone before the phones name was honor 9 lite now its huawei phone also before the model was LLD-AL00 after the reset it says the model was Unknown
@Imfriendly
Hello,
i think, you need from your build (before rebrand) a FULL-Update to rebrand to delivered state.
if then your phone in delivered state you need from your "wish-build" a FULL-Update.
but - i never phones rebrand. i reed in other threads that first action is flash partition "oeminfo" and then install FULL-Update
i hope this help and work for you
if you only rebrand for google - you not must rebrand : install google-installer https://mega.nz/#!Vlk3TRhR!8lop5P9Nap9QQEc2O0pZwRrlSBYm4o-f7k_4CnRBaJ0
before you anything do - think on backup from your data
I see i just tried to follow a step to step guide yet still messed it up but is there a way for me to reset the phone back to when i first got it cause right now when i do factory reset it doesn't do that and backup and restore function is blank when i click on it in security

I think that this problem has already been discussed before, but I could not find an answer. My skill level is too low...
My TAB is a Hong Kong Retail version, which is unlocked.
After successfully rooting my TAB using Z4root, I installed BootStrap for EURO TAB and then I could successfully install Paul’s Modaco R1 version. I did not experience any problems. Then I installed Richard Trip’s Kernel, and I am not sure if something went wrong (or was already wrong), but somehow I could not get access to the Market anymore.
So I decided to reinstall Paul’s ROM using ODIN, but somehow after a successful start, there was a red FAIL. I guess i probably used the wrong setting and fell into the protected boot trap? I tried to get into the boot mode again, but could not get in.
After many tries to get into the boot mode, I now have:
If connected to an adapter: there will be a phone+triangle+PC error message. Sometimes this message will stay on as long as the TAB is connected to the power adapter.
Sometime the phone+triangle+PC error message will get flash slowly.
I tried to leave it overnight and then charge it and get into Boot mode, but no success.
If I try to attach the TAB to a PC or Notebook, nothing will happen. Nothing will happen even after several hours.
So … what is the best way to solve this problem? Please help.
hi,
read these two threads, maybe it can solve your problem.

I did a hard reset and it worked...
Samsung Galaxy Tab: Steps For Hard Reset
by Mitch under Android, Hardware
A hard reset will reset the Samsung Galaxy Tab back to factory default settings. You would perform these steps if you want the device prepared to sell or return to the store, but you may also want to perform a hard reset if there are problems with the device that you can’t seem to solve using any other method.
Note: These steps clear data from the device. SD card data like your photos and music are not erased unless you choose to format the SD card.
1. With the device off, press and hold Volume Up and Power.
2. Release the Power button when you see the Samsung logo, but continue to hold Volume Up until the recovery screen appears.
3. Use the Volume buttons to navigate the menu and select wipe data / factory reset. Press Home to choose the selection.
4. Press Volume Up continue.
The Galaxy Tab should then go through the hard reset process.
If you have access to the OS, you can also perform a hard reset in Settings.
1. Open the Settings app.
2. Select Privacy.
3. Choose Factory data reset.
Hard reset probably won't work as it sounds like a bad flash... Any OS you flash will replace your stock OS which is why people say to backup EVERYTHING...
Right. A hard reset (if it works) removes user installed apps and their data. It won't restore anything, but it should return any user-made settings to the default.
Hey all. I was checking out my new htc desire 626.
I unlocked it, now when i want to go to recovery mode or even factory reset the screen with red text on bottom that says something like "this build is only for developer uses..." and dissapear. i cant even factory reset it in android menu settings.
What should i do?
I have a European Huawei P9 EVA-L09 model which I adore. It was running Marshmallow and EMUI 4.1. I found a Nougat beta ROM and I tried to install it but have left it in an unusable state.
I don't think the phone is rooted but I do think the bootloader is unlocked.
I can boot into 3 modes.
Mode 1 - Just reboot
Huawei eRecovery where I get the options to download latest version and recovery, Reboot and Shutdown. If I select the Download latest version and recovery it setups my Wifi and then fails with the message Getting package info failed.
Mode 2 - Power + Vol Up
It boots into a screen that gives me the option to Reboot your System Now, Wipe data / factory Reset , Wipe Cache partition. Selecting Wipe Data/Factory reset returns back to this screen with an error - Red Exclamation mark. Selecting Wipe Cache partition seems to perform a wipe and returns to the original screen with the 3 options again.
Mode 3 - Connect to PC with Hisense and power + vol down
This goes into an android recovery screen which is white with a green android displayed
I have the USB drivers installed on my PC but I cannot see the phone in Windows explorer when I plug it in via USB. I do hear the recognition tone that Windows has recognised that a USB device has been attached. The Huawei PC software doesn't recognise it unless I go into the white android screen and select recover. This always fails saying it cannot find a package.
I have installed stock P9 Marshmallow firmware on my SD card in a dload folder (which is how I bricked it in the first place. When I hold Vol up and Vol Down and power it starts installing but then fails about 40% - 50% through. I have tried multiple versions of the L09 firmware but none of them install successfully.
I am not very technical and not an android expert so cannot say I have done everything perfectly correctly. #
Is my phone bricked or is it possible get my phone back working?
You can get your phone back, search the forums for dc phoenix, which has helped people including myself.
The other option is to go the huawei website, and look under downloads for p9. Find the two firmwares for beta rollback and follow the instructions, although i am not 100% confident that will work for you
use dc phoneix ... i was the in tha same condition
So I have installed and tried install a few different ROMs to the phone. DC Phoenix recognizes the phone as it comes up with the IMEI and version in the left hand window. It seems to install the ROM sucessfully.
I get a message at the end saying it finished successfully but when I boot back up it just goes straight into the same eRecovery screen I have tried B166 and B322 and no luck. Is there anything different I should be doing?
...and now I have a new issue
Thanks for everyone's help. After downloading and trying about 10 different ROMs I was able to get a Nougat ROM to install. Now I have a different problem
1. When I reboot I get a verification failed message. I get an option to go to eRecovery (which works the same as above and doesn't find a package)
So what I really want now is just to get back to stock Marshmallow and not have a verification message and not have some Nougat version that doesn't look like the official Huawei ROM.
So what next folks?
I encountered the exact same problem a few days ago. I didn't try DC Phoenix, instead sent it to Huawei for repair, claiming the phone was in a boot-loop I couldn't recover from.
They have fixed it now and the P9 is on its way back to me. What's strange is that they have swapped the whole motherboard for a new one! Didn't expect that.
I have performed factory data reset on my gionee m2 from the settings and then it rebooted to the page in which it shows formatting/data... and now it has been stuck on this screen for much time.
I tried to open it to bootloader but it doesn't open in it.
Also, the phone is non-rooted one with stock ROM.
Please help.
The phone is rooted and don't know how to reset it
Hi all, here are my phone specs currently:
EVA L19
C636 B393
EMUI 5.0.1
Android 7.0
bootloader unlocked
magisk installed
The phone has been great for the past year, but yesterday I did a factory reset (maybe bad move, should have done TWRP wipe) and there are no essential apps anymore like camera, calendar, and the rest.
I've been scouring the forums looking for a solution but most of the download links are dead.
Tried to do an update via HiSuite but nothing happened after installing.
Any other ideas? I don't want to install a custom ROM as I prefer the stock camera app.
Thanks!

Try deleting Dalwik and Cache from TWRP or deleting Cache from eRecovery (switch off, connect to charger!!!, press and keep pressing Vol+, boot by Pow)
You could also try again Factory reset immediately followed by Wipe cache - both from eRecovery
There is also an option in eRecovery: Install latest firmware, you can try but not sure would it work since Huawei apparently removed P9 firmwares from their servers
Otherwise, you would need to find (it was easy in the past when FirmwareFinder worked), download and reinstall your EVA-L19c636 b393 (or newer)
Hey there, factory reset from both phone and TWRP didn't work. eRecovery can't find package info too.
So I downloaded the firmware now and put the dload folder on my SD card but I can't force it to update. When I press the vol keys +- and power, it just says "your phone is unlocked and can't be trusted etc..." and then just boots normally. I can't access ProjectMenu using the *#*# codes either.
Any other ideas how to flash this firmware?

Unfortunately, no other idea but try to find DLOAD package.
Several other users asked similarly, pleas see the other recent posts here for P9 - but generally, it will be hard because Huaweu removed firmwares from their server.
See in those other threads/posts for alternative catalogs.
Unfortunately, c636 is relatively rare, consider rebranding to c432 - and again, look to thoso other threads, recent questions and answers
That's where I'm stuck though... even if I have the firmware I can't force update it by the button method of the secret codes method...
I'll try to flash via fastboot and hopefully it works.
Update: got the C636 firmware and the flashing steps here:
