T-Mobile Wing w/ touch-It ROM messaging problem

I have flashed this rom onto my phone twice, both times working fine for maybe 3-4 days, after which the messaging fails to initiate when I attempt to open it. Not only do I not receive email or text, but I cannot even open the app to read any messages already there. The first time I thought I might have messed something up, but it happened again when I wasn't even using my phone. I've tried soft resetting to no avail. I don't want to hard reset every time this happens, for obvious reasons. Can this be corrected in the registry? I don't understand why this is happening, but any help is very much appreciated.

Whenever I had problems with the Messaging app not opening, it was because I was saving attachments to the Storage Card, and somehow, the card became corrupted. Once I stopped doing that, I didn't have any more issues.
For what it's worth, the problems with the storage card getting corrupted stopped when I stopped syncing the phone via USB and went Bluetooth/OTA only.

How about you say which rom you are using .... That info would be greatly helpful in your question. There are many touch it roms.

Freezing Up

My wings started giving me problems today. sometimes it just wont respond the any key i push. If im writing an sms it just stopes writing even if im pushing keys. does this on all the keys etc.
Its like it doing something in the background but there is nothing going on. Done a reset of the phone. Still does it.
Taken the battery out a few times as well. No better.
Any ideas?

Starting some days ago, I have a similar problem, but my device freezes when using the phone functions; for example it can freeze when entering a number, just after the first digit, or when receiving a call; the only thing I can do then is to reset it.
I've already tried a hard reset with no luck; I changed my SIM with a new one, but the problem is still here.
HTC support told me that the phone might have problem if the SIM is less than 128K; my carrier only have 64k SIMs...
It seems very strange to me; just to know, what kind of SIM have you got? And can someone else answer?

I have a 32k sim card (several years old), and don't have such a problem.

I think i solved it. I was using a jpeg from the SD card on my homescreen, it didnt seem to like this, moved the jpeg to the phone itself and now its gone...

You guys helped me root and customize my captivate a year ago, and all has been working fine until now. I barely know enough to be dangerous...
With no notice, my phone stopped working unexpectedly. When I try to place a call, everything works normally right up to the "call" screen. But instead of placing the call, the green button immediately goes away. No error messages, no nothing. When others call me, my phone does not respond, and the caller gets sent straight to voicemail.
Texts and data messages continue to function normally. I can take out the SIM, put it in my wife's new Captivate, and use the phone just fine. I've removed battery, done a hard reset, and searched the forum for solutions. No luck yet.
The only thing I've knowingly done to the phone lately is to repeatedly remove/reinstall the SIM, as I've been using it to set up my wife's new phone. I have Titanium Backup, but many of the system functions (such as dialer) inexplicably show no backup available. I have also done a scan with Lookout, which showed no problems.
Any suggestions?

My next move would be to reflash the firmware. What firmware are you running right now?

Do yo have alot of apps, pictures or videos on your phone ? I ask this because, my youngest teen daughter had so many pictures, " 2040" 7 pages full of mostly useless apps more than 8 videos " was ticked by then and stopped counting " , it took over 5 minutes to boot up "media scan" lagged so bad just trying to unlock the screen and when you tried to answer the phone it would completely lockup and the call would fail. So I put an external sd in and moved all the crap over to it and now no more lag, phone works as it should when it's answered.
Just something to look at .

Ok so, my phone is really messed up.
First off, i live in canada and my captivate is a US device, so i am unable to send it to AT&T. (bought the phone from kijiji) ive tried and they won't help me out.
Anyways, upon bootup, i receive an error message from every app on my phone saying it has to force close. No apps on my phone work, i cant open any of them except settings and the camera. I'm able to uninstall the apps, but when the phone is rebooted, all the uninstalled apps are on the phone again. I've tried updating the phone, reflashing stock firmwares, master clearing and resets, none of which have worked. I really want to get this phone working so is there anything i can do to fix it?
EDIT: I've tried firmwares from 2.1-2.3 and had no luck fixing the phone

i9003 huge problems

Hello I hope you could help me solve my problem, because I have been trying to find any solution more than two weeks with no results. My girlfriend asked me to take a look at her phone Samsung GT i9003 because all her apps started to act weird and she couldn't see her photos. So I checked it and as she said, suddenly all apps started to crash one by one and then the phone freezed. I wanted to do factory reset, but even the phone restarted, it didn't work and all apps were back. Even if I tryed to format SD card. They I tryed another method to factory reset through dialer. Same result. Phone restarted and nothing happened. I have even tryed to run it through Samsung Kies, which couldn't recognise the phone no matter what I did. Then I have read something about starting the phone to bootloader by holding power, volume up and home buttons. Didn't work. Have anyone got a clue what the hell is wrong with it? She can't write messages, make calls, anything because it is freezing all the time.
