in the settings menu the power saving and ultra power saving mode are disabled for some reason and their icons disappeared from the quick setting toggle
so any idea what caused that ????
You have activated high performance mode from developer options , it disables power saver and ultra power saver mode

Is it possible to reduce power consumption of the display? I already set brightness to minimum. Power Profiler shows that the display is using about 75% of total power consumption when phone is idle with wlan on.
450mW Display
600mW Total
If it is possible to reduce display power to 300mW the battery should last 33% longer.
I see only a small difference with low brightness or full brightness. (450mw low, 600mW high). No difference if Screen is white or Black. Maybe a bug in Power Profiler?
Try to set a dark background. AMOLED display only consumes power on dots that really on.

Hey guys!
Just for a whim, I reverted back to GB just to note some differences between the ICS Sense 3.6 and GB Sense 3.0. I've noticed that under the power setting some options have been removed. First, under power there is an option to enable power efficiency, enable power saver (restrict power when battery is low), and enable sleep mode. Why would HTC have removed these in ICS? Does ICS have better power management?
What is the difference between the mid and max mode? If you look at their options shown, it appears the only difference is the resolution of the screen. However, no way that adds like 5 hours of time to your phone by switching that. To verify that's not the only difference, I tried customizing the mid power save mode and dropped the resolution down to HD+ just like the max power save mode. You know how much time that added? 3 minutes. So where are the extra HOURS of time coming from on the max power save mode? It has to be doing more than it shows...
it's "Maximum power saving mode".
CPU speed will be limited, almost applications will be sleep. Then, you will get a really phone.
Anyone know how to set the "optimized" battery mode to use max resolution instead of FHD? Trying to use adaptive battery mode, but it keeps dropping the resolution down on optimized.
Go to 'power mode' and select 'High performance'.
Choose optimized then adaptive battery and set
Then go to display and just change the resolution
Also you can choose medium power saving and choose res to be WQHD so if the adaptive mode switches to medium power mode it will not change resolution
This Project's aim is increasing power savings automatically.
When screen is turned off after 5 seconds:
- Customized Battery Saver will be enabled (Use Battery Saver Switch to turn this feature on/off)
- Bluetooth will be disabled if not connected
- Wi-Fi will be disabled if not connected
- Wi-Fi and Bluetooth scanning will be disabled
When screen is turned on and unlocked:
- Battery Saver will be disabled
- Bluetooth will be enabled
- Wi-Fi will be enabled
- Wi-Fi and Bluetooth scanning will be enabled
When connected to Android Auto or Charger:
- All power saving profiles will be skipped
- Battery Saver will be disabled
- Bluetooth will be enabled
- Wi-Fi will be enabled
- Wi-Fi and Bluetooth scanning will be enabled
