I would just like to know, with the release of Android 6.0, will Huawei skip the rollout of Lollipop and focus on Marshmellow?
Does anyone know?
Thanks

You are joking, aren't you?
I'm pretty sure that we will never see official Android 6.0 for the P7.
Marshmallow for P7? You have to be kidding me. Maybe P8 in 2017 will get it, but P7 nope.

LOOOOOL, but why tho? is Huawei Useless?
They focus more on releasing new smartphones than updating older ones. That's all

we don't get Lollipop so what do you think about Marshmellow
Huawei give you a good phone for price but they don't know the phone anymore after that
look at the P6, it never got 5.x update even though its more capable of running it.
Custom rom Marshmallow
Does anybody knows maybe some custom rom, based on Marshmallow?

The official statement of Huawei is that the following devices will get Marshmallow
• Huawei P8
• Huawei Ascend Mate 7
• Huawei Mate S
• Huawei P8 Youth Edition
• Huawei P8 Max
• Huawei G7 Plus
• Huawei Ascend G7
• Huawei Honor 7
• Huawei Ηnor 7i
• Huawei Honor 6 Plus
• Huawei Honor 6
• Huawei Honor X2
• Huawei Honor 4X
• Huawei Honor Play 4C
We are officially stuck on 5.1.1.
It's clear that why the price is cheap, just get support for 2 years and then buy a new one
*one year
(2014-2015)
Rest in Peace P7. It was nice to meet you.
It's to early to say if it's the full list.
This is the list with the first that will get Android 6.0 , Even P8 lite is missing i don't think it will be left with Android 5.1.

android60marshmallow.xyz/huawei-ascend-p7-marshmallow-features
Im not able to post outside links, beacuse i'm new, but here's the link . Anyway, no idea if it's legit, tho it seems so.

Yes,they are little chances to see Android 6.0 in Huawei P7 i don't think Huawei will update it,the only chance is somebody to port MIUI Android 6.0 to Huawei P7.
Can anyone make a Huawei P9 Lite Emui 4.1 port, for this device?
Why do you need to port Emui 4.1 from P9 lite if there is a working version that is from Vodafone location of this phone which works on eu version too. You can find that in htcmania forums.

JEJEJE ok sorry,
You can also use emui 4.1.2 device huawei y6II that is rom CAM-L21C10B141 of January 3 or OTA-CAM-L21C464B151 of December 28 that although it says ota there is rom full.
http://hwmt.ru/oth/HWFF/info/view.php?find_model=
It can be used in p8 lite with the updateappflasher method but the problem is that these rom has no option to pass apk to the sd card you have to use an apk to do this.

I wish Huawei would give us an official update to Android 8.0 (or 8.1 if it exists)

theres not alot that would change, EMUI would still be on top of it, and alot of apps would be buggy.

Hi guys,
I am holding a P9 Plus VIE-L29C20 (Singtel set), which is still on EMUI 4.1.3 (Android 6.0). I would like to update to the latest available OS, which I think is the Android 7.0 Nougat.
Can I use Firmware Finder to update to VIE-L29C636 which has the updates up to VIE-L29C636B390 (B391 not approved for installation)?
Will I brick the device?
Thank you in advance.

You have first to Debrand on C636
That you can do with SRK Tool.https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/how-to/vdo-guide-how-to-debrand-huawei-phone-t3410045
This is for P9, but works on P9 plus
