The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+, which launched in March running Android 8.0 out of the box, may be about to get the 8.1 update in the near future. The Galaxy S9 has been spotted in a Geekbench listing running Android 8.1.

Samsung hasn't provided any guideline on when the update will arrive, and benchmark listings can't be seen as anything certain, but at least we know the update is in development.
We can hope that the testing goes smoothly and the official rollout isn't that far away now.

Since they tried to copy the A11 architecture on the S9, I'm pretty disappointed in its struggle and battery life.
Better to fix it now than never.

Maybe it's just a geekbench bench of Lineage on the S9.
My last phone was a Snapdragon 810 and now I have the Exynos S9, being unlucky twice on a high-end device really sucks.

Would seem likely, they probably have been overclocking ad messing with the kernel too tbh
Is this the exynos version or sd?

Nice
very satisfied with my bike maxx
This is great for a device not weighted down by bloatware. Judaxxx
I believe our specs could definitely keep up with phones loaded with the 810 snapdragon
Only difference is a slight performance boost and 64 bit ready not a big difference in my opinion except for the 64 bit part
I'm also eager to see if there would be a noticeable difference in performance and battery life
There is but not by much
Maybe because of the droid specs lollipop could give boost?
Ok so i did some benchmark tests and a few hours run time and i found that I am only getting 1.5 ghz. Nowere do i see 2.1 ghz. Maybe my other 4 cores are not even kicking in. I am going to install faux clock or something to keep an eye on this. Please ley me know any finding you guys might have.
Ok I confirmed the 8 cores are working with trickstermod however they will not go past 1.5ghz. Not happy about this. Might have to return it. Any thoughts.

I'm guessing no one has proper support to read this new hardware properly
That's strange. My first 32 gb s6 showed the 2.1 step being used. My new 64 GB does not in 124 hours of continuous use

The exynos octa core has been around for years since the galaxy s4. If it is a suport issue, you would think all the apps would catch on in 2 years.
Mine is confirmed to read 1.5 also. Even though my AnTuTu score was 65k

I have the same problem on my rooted s6 edge. Very odd

Those scores are from different app. Can't compare to international antutu version.
different app for sure i get around 175-180.000 antutu on a mate 10
yeah and if ur reading it good, it says the mi 6 had 206445 points.
but the mi6 is a 835 not the new 845
Yes this score is using antutu 7.0.1.
I downloaded it and check it by myself.i get higher score also
This my score

hmmm
cooling matters yo
By the way,i like the new tests in the antutu 7.0.1
Antutu 7
I was pretty surprised at the score but I think Antutu 7 process's scores differently. Haven't tried Antutu 6 yet.
i get around 214k-217k so that's about right. However, after today's Antutu hands on test with the S9 or S9+, they got 280k + which is insane. that being said, depending on which phone we are using, we either have 4GB or 6GB (Mate 10/pro) and 1080p vs 2560x1600. not sure if antutu is running s9 with their full QHD+ or if it's manually set to FHD like most s8's were.

Heres the actual geek bench results
Is it something wrong with my device or everyone is facing it?? Even the antutu is lower
Different versions of the app. Geekbench 5 VS geekbench 3. That is way the results are lower.
Do people actually care about these?!
If the phone is snappy and feels ok does it matter?

Try geekbench 4. About some reason its not coming up on the playstore search so you would need to look up for it on Google. GL
Here can I find version 10.4.8 to install ?
Wich one have a better performance in games? Thank those who will help
Overclock the phone with konabess I found pixel experience on Android 12 was the best as the rom is stock but I have upgraded to android 14 on miui and you can now extend RAM by 5gb more so 8+5gb feels lot better on the EU rom

I personally don't recommend ovetvkockinh for 888, mainboatd offed dead after using oberclock kernel
If you overclock your 888, i think you will kill your wifi.
My phone is overlocked been months now no problems I do have a aluminium camera cover the seems to take heat away from the phone
