Hey guys! Could you guys educate me on what custom roms are the most stable and with good battery life? what roms do you guys use? I cant make up my mind. Help me out if you can! TIA
Donxt know 2hat type of roms you like. Some people like fully custom with lots of features/mods, some like basic/minimal. Me I like basic. My favorite for the Note 8 is Weta rom with Xceed or Smurf kernel. Weta Oreo is runs great with Xceed kernel. I'm currently back on Weta Nougat though with Smurf kernel. I just love the setup. Currently no Smurf kernel for Oreo yet but Xceed is great.

AOSP based and cm based ROMs haven't been stable as of now,it doesn't mean it lessens affort of developers like akhil or varun but we need stock based ROMs in the meantime if you see nexus 5 forum there you have "catacalysm"
(http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/orig-development/rom-cataclysm-nexus-5-t2518660)which is most appropriated rom over there. It is essentially a stock rom modified with some gravitybox like features .It even supports RRO layERS. I am not a dev by any mean don't have computer to try out these things but we have well more than capable developers who could develop such ROMs quite easily. What do you think is it worth it?
Hi everyone, I'm wondering what is the best rom available for the Nexus 6 that is very stable and full of features? I have no preferences I'd just like to know what rom is the best rom out there that fits the bill. If you use a custom kernel by all means list that as well. If you can provide links to the Roms and or kernels that'd be great. Thanks everyone
Pure Nexus 6.0.1 best stable ROM, based on stock and full of features. Flying well with elite kernel
Take a look at my signature :good:
lets move this here on Q&A
I'm sure you mean well however this question can be viewed negatively by the community. There's no "best" rom. Best means it fits all your needs.
For me best means stable yet lots of features. For others best means stock with one or 2 things added.
Determine what you want first then go from there. Some stable feature filled ROMs are Chroma, pure Nexus and Dirty Unicorns. Those are good starts. Elemental X kernel and Elite kernel have been good for me as well. Lean kernel was good as well but it has not been updated in a very long time.
The most feature packed ROM is probably Resurrection Remix hands down, stability is debatable but is usually stable
Thanks everyone for the replies. I'll have to give these a try
Dirty unicorns all day everyday.
I've been running Dirty Unicorns for almost 24hrs now and really like it. Thanks again everyone for the list of Roms and Kernels
+1 Resurrection Remix Neo all day! and I've tried them all.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I was wondering... How come we don't have our own custom kernel? Rigghttt?
I mean we do have one... But it's only available for Marshmallows. We all know that Nougat is the latest version and majority of user now have Nougat.
So... any courageous and brilliant developers out there who can make us or port us a custom kernel, would be highly appreciated.
I wanna to know
Which is the best custom Kernel for Resurrection Remix os on OP3T?
Especially for battery Life
:good:
Hate to bring this old thread up, but i'd like to know as well.
This Kernel murders battery life. Boeffla isn't compatable, elementalX doesn't work.
Best is a subjective term . But keeping aside the normal XDA answers like check for yourself etc.
Try radioactive kernel V1.0.6 (reborn) . It is the most updated kernel for 3/T. I am using RR Nightly by Droid Freak with Radio Active kernel and i am getting good results
Hello guys!
It's simply impossible for anyone to try out all ROMs and find the best one for his needs. I'm not different. I just wanna know which ROM is best in terms of battery life for Redmi 4x?

For me its rr Luis build, and anonymous 3.5 kernel, give bestest battery backup, but but but anonymous 3.5 kernel didn't support nougat roms and after flashing that kernel my video play back got broken, so I flash all the kernel for nougat and all have almost same battery backup, clarity, Gabriel and anonymous v2 kernel etc, but if gaming is not your priority then I can give you best setting for anonymous v2, because only this kernel currently have cpu underclock with nougat support,
Mokee rom has best battery backup
