[Q] [HOW-TO] Hide folders in file explorer

Hi,
Is there a way to hide folder from the file explorer? I found it highly annoying that the sd card is packed with apps files and folders.
I tried the add a "." to the name of a folder, and it is indeed hidding it, but then existing shortcut to files inside that folder are no longer accessible since since the path has changed from ".\Folder\file.apk" to ".\.Folder\file.apk" and thus file cannot be found.
Is there a solution?

Hi, when you go into the "media" folder on your tab, is it possible to add more folders there then the stock photo, video, download?

Yes, its possible

And how do you do it?

Use the stock file manager "my files", or download astro file manager or efile from the market.

or use your pc/mac via usb

Using your tab only, click "my files" icon and navigate from there to wherever you want to place your new folder. Then use the context button to reveal the new folder menu, as well as rename and details options.
by the way, you might also be interested in a better media browser than the stock, use quickpic from android market.
also, if you add a blank file (usually a txt file) named .nomedia at the root of a folder which contains some files, the files won't get picked up by the media scanner and stay hidden, but will still be seen by file explorer like My Files.

Doube OBB Folders

Hi,
I got my new HTC one and there was no obb folder in Android folder. I created one with name of "Obb" but it actually didnt work. now i created second folder with name "obb". now there are two folders and both have same App Data (obb files). I am unable to delete one.
How to delete it?

Is it possible to copy files in a folder to onedrive folder?

Hi I am new to tasker, can someone help me please?
I have files in a download folder that are taking up space on my phone.
Is it possible to copy the files to onedrive folder and then delete the files in the folder, can this be done on a daily basis as well?

Try using FolderSync app, it also works in combination with Tasker as a plugin.

can not create file/folder in system area (phone already rooted)

I want to use root explorer to copy some file into some system folder,
root explorer can successful mount system as RW. but when I copy files, it failed and show "read-only".
the strange things is: I can rename or modify a file/ folder, for example: I can modify "build.prop" and save it successfully.
so the problem is: I can't create new files or folders, but I can modify existing file an folders?
