KLWP & Nova Launcher - Wallpaper Scroll Issue - Huawei P20 Pro Questions & Answers
Hi guys
I am reaching out to you guys because I haven't found an answer in the world wide web and probably some others would have the same problem as I have.
I recently installed KLWP app to customize my wallpaper. Problem that I am facing is that with no used Launcher (Nova, Apex, Evie) I can make my wallpaper scroll. Option is always on and I also checked that I have the same amount of pages in KLWP and my home screen. Not even with the standard launcher of P20 it's possible.
Does someone of you have a potential solution for me?

No solution, but the same problem on a P20 (not Pro). Tried to set a picture as wallpaper in Nova Launcher, but scrolling doesn't work. I also tried to force scrolling in the nova settings, but this crashes Nova.

I have a potential solution for you. I have had exactly the same problems like, as it seems, a lot of other Huawei users and nothing seemed to work. I then installed a bunch of different launchers and I finally got it working with Action Launcher. It worked out of the box, even tho if I made changes within the action launcher the KLWP became static again. I switched betwwen stock launcher and Action Launcher until I had my KLWP set up with all the settings I needed. You have to play around with that a little I guess, but I really think it will work for you.

has there been any solution or work around for this? as i have a pretty cool setup i used for my previous sony xperia z2 and want to use it form y p20 pro but wall paper scrolling is integeral to it.
When you choose wallpaper click on the scrollable icon so it turns blue, your wallpaper is now scrollable when you apply it
I did the scrollable option in the standard launcher and it worked but I'm more interested in getting it to work using nova launcher. That's where everything seems to break down on me. Using standard everything works the way I want, just to complete the setup, I need to fully customize my app looks and shortcuts.
Same issue with Honor 10. Force scroll option on Nova Prime crashes the launcher.
Do you have the ability to select live wallpapers through the normal stock launcher?
As I've noticed on stock launcher the only live wallpapers you can see are the ones through Huawei's Theme App and no option to use external live wallpapers, so I wonder if this is the problem. I've emailed them and just waiting for a response as they state you should click on 'more' and then get option for live wallpapers in top right screen of which I don't, it's only the huawei theme app
Wallpaper scrolling works for me using Nova. I can also select external live wallpapers using Huawei's themes app.
If I use certain wallpaper apps to apply the wallpaper directly from their app, it doesn't work. But I found that once applied, I can then use nova wallpaper selector to reselect the same wallpaper from its 'history' options and this forces the wallpaper to now scroll.

What is firmware on phone including region code. And what version of themes are you using as mine on P20 Pro does not give you option for external

I was on 156 and now on Android Pie EMUI 9. Scrolling still works for me. Stock theme.
On my side, i try to disable the wallpaper scrolling because when i set a static "portrait" picture, it zoom the picture and it's a mess >_< (nova launcher set in static wallpaper)

So you are on a totally different model/firmware as not all P20 Pro's are the same, it doesn't work on the CLT29-8.1.0.131 (C782)
Update: according to Huawei 3rd Party Live Wallpapers are not supported.
In response, please note that Google live wallpaper, KLWP or any other non Huawei themed live wallpaper are not supported by the device

I've not gotten Nova Launcher Pro to work. As others have stated, if I select Scroll Wallpaper to On, nothing happens. Just a static wallpaper. If I choose forced, it crashes.
The Microsoft Launcher works fine however. Just set a regular wallpaper to scrollable in the Huawei Wallpaper app, then you can apply KLWP. This has worked for me at least. The drawback of the Microsoft Launcher is that it doesn't have the workaround for the 5 second delay which is a pain. I've reported the issue to Microsoft a few times, both on the Google Group and Twitter, but so far, nothing.
SOLUTION :_Wallpaper scrolling in klwp
Its simple.... If u have 3 screen klwp live wallpaper jst save it from klwp and come to home screen(hope you have nova) then hold the screen untill it arrives to add screens.
Add 3 blank screens and feel the magic of klwp.
U must also enable wallpaper scrolling in nova settings

[Q] ADW launcher wallpaper problem
Hello folks, today I decided to try ADW launcher on my GTAB. I must say there are some really great looking themes, and its quite smooth and nice to use. The only problem I have went through so far is that wallpaper doesn't fit the all screen when in landscape mode. I have tried to resize them with the Gallery App, and I have also tried to download new ones from interfacelift with resolution of 960x854 or 960x800 but nothing has changed, and even wallpapers downloaded from the Grallery app doest fit the all screen in landscape mode. So I thought it must be a bug in ADW. Is there a way to make them fit the all screen ?? Thanks
not sure if this will help as I dont have a tab, but go into the ADM launcher setting and check or uncheck the wallpaper hack option....maybe that will help

It's old thread but is there anything happened with that problem since December? lol Im still strugling witht that problem and half an hour surfing on the net didnt help. I sent mail to developer but so far no reply. So the problem is old does anyone solved it yet?
What exactly is happening? Are some parts of the screen not covered by the wallpaper or are you only seeing a part of the wallpaper. I use ADW and in landscape mode. I get the top third of a wallpaper fully covering the screen. A live wallpaper I use works perfectly. Perhaps reset ADW to its default settings? Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App
I can't enable Wallpaper hack on the galaxy tab and adw and the scrolling is slow compared to my Samsung galaxy s...anyone know how to enable it ?????

Have you tried these wallpapers with any other launcher? You'll find that its the gallery's fault more than anything. Try multi picture livewallpaper Sent from my GT-I9100
I am experiencing this as well. Portrait mode there is no issue, it is just landscape mode. The stock standard Samsung home screen doesn't have an issue, it is just when I am viewing the ADW Launcher EX home screen. It is zoomed in on a particular section of the wallpaper and is only displaying a portion of the picture. I have a Samsung GT-P7510 running Honeycomb 3.1 and ADW version 1.3.3.1

ADW Launcher EX wallpaper rotation bug Well, on my Nexus 5 using ADW Launcher EX : I'm in portrait mode, I set a custom wallpaper (image fits full screen, sides as expected are scrolling left/right when I switch through the desktops). Now, I just rotate the phone to go in landscape mode, the wallpaper rotates but is cropped top/bottom and left/right too. "Ok, whatever..." Then I rotate the phone back to portrait mode : the wallpaper doesn't come back to its original state but is kinda "zoomed in" so cropped on the four sides... I have to re-set it to get my original picture back... The only fix I found was to force ADW to be in portrait mode and not use the sensor (the default launcher sticks to portrait mode anyway). So, there actually IS a bug in ADW Launcher EX... I wish the developer would fix this...
[Q] Displaying more icons on the home screen
I am not familiar with the HOME of Android OS. Currently using Panda Home for my Gtab but also tried couple of other HOME app.(forgot names..) but none of them.. seems like not let me display many icons on the screen. I mean, I see the big gap between icons.. Is there any app to let me put more icons on Pandahome? or Do I need to use some specific HOME app to do that? let me know...
Both adw launcher and launcher pro allow you to set the number of rows and columns on the screen. I prefer adw .
He is correct, adw or launcher pro are the flavors of choice around here. Personally I use Launcher pro. In the advanced setting you can set how many rows, columns, and icons to allow.

Help on Nova prime launcher
Hi. I am facing issue with Nova Prime Launcher. Below are the two screenshot. One on TW and other on Nova. My question is why nova is hiding sides of my wallpaper. A big area is hidden which makes my wallpaper ugly. Any idea how to correct wallpaper alignment on Nova. Regards Mani
Hmm...seems like the wallpaper on TW uses only the visible section of the screen, whereas the wallpaper on NOVA uses the entire screen resolution thus looking zoomed in.
I suggest you use Wallpaper Wizardrii to play around with wallpapers
You'll get tons of options to help you keep the wallpaper the way you want it.

Dual wallpaper?
Hi i'm wondering if any body knows if it's possible to have two different wallpaper for each launcher home screen for example. the mix has the miui launcher and i installed nova launcher and i have a wallpaper on the nova that doesn't look good on the miui home screen, this is why i'm asking if any body knows and point me on the right direction. thank you
As far as I know, when you set a wallpaper in a launcher and switch launchers, the wallpaper you set will be kept; in certain launchers there's a default wallpaper that overrides what you've set on the first launch, but apart from that, in my experience when a wallpaper is set all launchers will use that wallpaper. It's not that big of a hassle to switch wallpapers manually every time you switch launchers, is it?
You are right that is not a hassle to change it but I would like it to be automatic, ho. well
KLWP NOVA Launcher and wallpaper scrolling
I have tries everything and I cant seem to get wallpaper scrolling working with KLWP and nova launcher. Anyone know a solution to this.
i posted a solution in another thread after getting feedback by kustom as I had similar issues and huawei weren't that helpful and just said it was not supported Use Stock Launcher Choose wallpaper Click the scrollable icon in bottom right so it turns blue Apply wallpaper Change to Nova Launcher Select wallpaper and it will be scrollable across screens and will allow you to use KLWP properly
