[SOLVED] What's my actual, real model? D5833 or D5803?

I have a tricky question:
How can I find out the actual, REAL hardware model I have? D5803 or D5833? When I check Settings-->About phone-->Model number, I get D5833, but I don't know if this setting shows the ACTUAL device model, or the flashed ROM's. Does anybody know? In case it's the ROM's, how can I find out the real hardware model I have? (Before you tell: I threw away the box and invoice long ago.)
Background: A few months ago I flashed a prerooted 5833 ROM (working fine, so far). However, since both 5803 and 5833 ROMs are virtually interchangeable and can be flashed to both models, the problem is now I don't remember if I flashed the version matching my actual model. (Back then, I just wanted to get the latest pre-rooted and didn't care much about matching versions.)
Thank you in advance. (I hope this is not double posting: I've searched the forums but haven't found an answer to this particular.)

It shouldn't make any difference, the difference between the models is to do with the 4G bands available to the phone. If the 4G is working then you probably have the right model.
Why not use Xperiafirm to find the correct firmware for your country/provider, then download the firmware and use Flashtool to create a tft, then flash just the baseband. That will give you the correct modem, regardless of what build you have on the phone, and won't change the rom in any way.
Thank you @Didgesteve for your answer. I know what you mean (and I already did that). But my question remains:
How do I find which of the two existing Z3 Compact models am I holding in my hand?
I'd rather not engage in debating the baseband or ROM differences. The fact is: both models, D5833 and D5803, aren't identical; and I want to know which one is mine.
Never mind my country. I bought it second hand and I can't know exactly where was it bought. The information in the "About phone" settings only tells the flashed ROM, but not the supporting hardware.
My guess is, perhaps only the serial number may have that information embedded. But how do I get the model out of the serial number?
Anybody?
Thank you.

If you open the flap where you put the sim in, look closely under the sim slot is a thin piece of plastic, you might need tweezers to pull it out.
Printed on that is the model number and serial number and a european CE mark
Excellent! That worked. Thanks a lot. I guess I'll try to label this as solved.

Can I install any of the TMobile ROMs on US991 ?

I just bought a G4 for my wife from Amazon. Given I read it was an unlocked model I naively assumed that it would be fully TMo compatible.
I don't see Wifi/VoLTE options on US991 model. I don't see any USCellular LG G4 sub-forum, so asking here..
Would s it possible for me to install any of the TMo ROMs to get that functionality on US991 ?
Thanks in advance!

i bought an LG G4 with a model number of h811 but with sprint serial number

hi gents,
a month ago i bought a sealed LG G4 and the model number is H811 yet when i looked into the Serial Number it starts with LS991...
im stuck because i wanna root it and install a custom rom on it and im not sure what to do really ... the funny part is that even the software version belongs to T-Mobile ( 20R)
any suggestions or tips would do me a great favor
note: i dont live in the US so contacting sprint or T-Mobile would help

There is a thread in the g4 threads about this. Please look there. For most info. This is a common issue in aftermarket refurbs.

can T-mobile firmware be installed on a sprint variant?

2 days ago I bought a refubrished lg g4.when I open the phone the boot animation is from T-mobile and in the about phone section it shows that the software version is H81121z but after opening the mainboard I see that the model number on the mainboard says LS991. I have a terrible battery life and want to install any other rom with good battery backup but which guides should I follow?
"Sprint" ones or "T-Mobile" ones?
also can anyone link a rom with good battery backup?
thanks

@steadfasterX may be able to help on this one I have been away from the G4 to long
The mainboard model wins. You have a Frankenstein device.

Well that's just a system partition of T-Mobile. The bootloader stack is another story. If you install the system partition of a f500 it will show up as a f500 in boot animation and android settings.

Which XT1921 should I get and where?

Most posts I am seeing about unlocking bootloader and custom roms are for XT1921-5. I cannot seem to find this phone anywhere. Is this the USA variant? The closest I have found is the XT1921-3 (Boost Mobile) variant here
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/boost-...mory-cell-phone-black/6221728.p?skuId=6221728
Would I able to bootloader unlock and install custom roms on this? I'm looking for a backup phone that has LTE 2,4,5,12,13,17,25,26,41,66 bands and this one is perfect but I need to know if I will be able to unlock bootloader and install custom rom.
I can't find any good information about the different variants and what models support what bands and which models can be rooted.
Any help is much appreciated, thanks

I'm just doing "get a free phone from MetroPCS" due diligence so I don't have the phone in hand, but it looks like the XT1921-3 is actually the T-Mobile/MetroPCS (USA) version, which has been problematic for ppl. Good news is that it now has a factory image available (see thread here, although no clear reports on that yet . . . one seems to imply there was a problem with it, but I'm not totally clear).
So I'm not by any means an expert on Motorola firmware, but I'd be surprised if Boost (CDMA, right?) had the same model # as T-Mobile (GSM)--and I'm a little overtired but didn't see any note of the Motorola model # on the Best Buy link you provide.
In any case, not sure about bands and such, but hope that tidbit helps a little, in case you do in fact need something for the T-Mobile variant (-3), or if it's the same as Boost and I'm just a moron.
