Huawei P9 stock firmware - Huawei P9 Questions & Answers

So.... I have a lot of questions here....
I stried to go back to stock firmware, on my huawei p9 (LA-09 btw), lock the bootloader, and instal the stock recovery.....I tried lots of UPDATE.APP dload "3 button method", install via twrp, nothing worked....just keep told me "Software install failed"...Huawei eRecovery can not donwload the file from the server either....I tried one more method...flashing the img files manually via fastboot....and that's where the problem really started to grow.....i flashed the recovery and the boot file succesfully, and then when I flashed the system file I got the error message
"target reported max download size of 471859200 bytes
sending sparse 'system' 1/6 (436573 KB)...
OKAY [ 18.324s]
writing 'system' 1/6...
FAILED (remote: sparse flash write failure)
finished. total time: 18.566s"
so....right know i do not have any system on my phone, and can not install one either.....please help me....how do I put a stock firmware to it?

There is very easy HWOTA method to flash back to stock ROM from a custom or rooted ROM:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75787156&postcount=3
However, after all you did, seems that you have bricked the phone (?), maybe the following method can do:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=74169408&postcount=7
Or DC-Phoenix

Flashing oeminfo on Huawei P9

Hi,
I am trying to follow the instruction on http://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/c432-oeminfo-flash-twrp-t3384903 to debrand Vodafone UK P9 and then apply correct oeminfo to restore Android Pay functionality. I unlocked the bootloader and installed TWRP using SRK Tool.
Now when trying to flash oeminfo as sugested I am getting:
Code:
fastboot flash oeminfo oeminfo.img
target reported max download size of 471859200 bytes
sending 'oeminfo' (65536 KB)...
OKAY [ 1.451s]
writing 'oeminfo'...
FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)
finished. total time: 1.462s
Enable OEM Unlock is on in Developer options.
Stuck with this one. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to root the device?

Bricked P9

Hi there! So, I unlocked my bootloader yesterday and I've been trying to install a custom rom, no luck at all, it doesn't boot. It just stays in a bootloop. I think that's because I wiped the system and data instead of just wiping data then performing a factory reset, how it told me in the installation guide. Now, I have a european EVA-L09 with a unlocked bootloader and TWRP installed. What can i do to get it boot up? Thanks in advance
Try with HWOTA by installing the same stock ROM you had before messing up
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75787156&postcount=3
Btw, Huawei portal for Bootloader codes was down for days - was it up now again or you paid for DC Unlocker
If u can boot device to fastboot, you can flash boot.img, recovery.img system.img and cust.img trough command prompt to boot up phone. Previously extract those 4 files from update.app with Huawei Update Extractor.

I paid for DC Unlocker. I'll try it out. Ummm, I bought mine from UK, what version should I get? I had the latest EMUI 5.0.1 (Naugat 7.0) Stock ROM. It was my mistake that I didn't backed it up, had no storage left on my SD Card... Stupid me

Sorry for late answer. Maybe your bootloader is locked so you can't direct flash it trough fastboot...?!

It must be TWRP for EMUI 5.01
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/twrp-t3565703
There is an enhanced version here
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/rom-huawei-p9-magicrainbow-v4-t3759292
Btw, Fastboot reporting error or what is exactly the problem?

But unfortunatly i can't flash VENDOR.img in fastboot , i can flash all except VENDOR.img it says
C:\ADB>fastboot flash vendor VENDOR.img
target reported max download size of 471859200 bytes
sending sparse 'vendor' 1/2 (460796 KB)...
OKAY [ 10.697s]
writing 'vendor' 1/2...
FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)
finished. total time: 10.711s

I booted into fastboot, flashed the individual firmware files and it kept failing on the vendor.
I had a black screen with a red flashing LED on reboot. I claimed on my insurance and they replaced the board on the phone.
I checked on here and online for a resolution and it generally points to a hard brick.

You must use OTG! Probably Flashify borked a partition, but i don't think it borked vendor.
However, you should still be able to flash a FullOTA with TWRP + NoCheck combo.
If you can't manage that, hit me on Telegram,i'm @Pretoriano80 in there!
You can flash EMUI based FW using an OTA method. It should work. But it will lock your bootloader and you will have to unlock it again.
