Hey there,
Actually, I was trying to flash windows 10 phone rom in redmi 4x. I downloaded the mi4 windows 10 rom file and try to flash in redmi 4x and I ended up with some errors.
So, I want to know is it even possible? What if we edit the mi4's windows 10 rom file to make it possible.
And if it possible then help me out guys.

You can't do that, for doing that u have to build all the system files for windows mobile from scratch which isn't possible for us.
you cant use a rom from one phone for another

Yeah as long as this is for sd435.Also,can you confirm if the codename of Redmi 4 released in India is Santoni since I think you've the device?
This is really confusing decision by Xioami, they abandoned prada(Redmi 4 in China).

Well,AFAIK there is not a single custom rom for santoni as of now,I'd be better off buying redmi note 4(mido).
Hello, is it possible to flash the baseband from Xiaomi Redmi 4X with band 20 (global variant?) to other Xiaomi Redmi 4X with 3MB 32GB as root with any tool to get band 20 ?
Or is it possible with "fastboot flash modem xyz" too ? But then the modem file must be existing separately ?
Not sure
Did anyone try it?
What is the difference between this one and another one by cofface?

Hello is there specific sub-thread for 4x ?
out of topic but..
why 4x santoni doesn't have sub forum here?
4x have custom recovery but not much choice of custom rom, all i find from googling only lineage 13 and mokee, no other rom like ressurection remix, aosp, etc. hopefully will be more custom rom for redmi 4x in xda and not from other link
twrp + root
I installed twrp and rooted the device with suroot.
It works fine and even seems now be more smooth and has bit more free ram.
But if I will download from MIUI later a next official ROM (stable global ZIP) and flash it with "Method 1: System Update" (from here http://en.miui.com/a-232.html), will that update method still work now ? And what will be the result ? Have I bring twrp newly on the device then or root ?
Video tutorial for rooting redmi 4/4x
Will this method work on Redmi 4 3gb 32gb model?
Yes, it works!
off top but....

If you use the system update method in the page, it should work without any issues if you are using full ROM zip. But I guess it won't install Nightly builds.
After installing the full ROM image, you don't need to clear any data but you WILL LOSE ROOT ACCESS. You have to re-root after every system update.
Another thing, if you are using TWRP recovery to flash the system update, it will warn you that the system update will automatically flash stock recovery. So select the option to disable recovery flash. Otherwise, after system update you will again have MiRecovery.
If you are already using MiRecovery, then you don't need to worry about anything.
Hope I cleared your doubt.
does it need Unlock Bootloader first?
Thanks..
hlw i want to know will this method will work on redmi 4(4+64gb) indian variant thanks.
how can i root my device without pc ?
Is this working on redmi 4x miui9 developer?
Hi guys, last week i flashed a K20 Pro Indian rom on my Mi 9T Pro with flashtool, but then after flashing it i wanted to reflash the same ROM but in recovery format via TWRP but it kept returning Error 7 (if I'm right). Is there a way to fix this permanently without having to unzip the rom and editing it's content?. I want to flash Indian ROM because personally i feel like the updates there are faster in arriving than global ROM.

Try using the recovery that Abhishek has provided in his Lineage OS 16 thread. That'll work perfectly.

It doesn't work with mi 9t pro. Mauronofrio's version or latest orangefox. That's what I recommend.

You don't need do edit all of them. Only the first one is enough.
getprop("ro.product.device") == "raphaelin"
That first line is important to change.

Bro stop, I told you , you can't go back to Android 1 . If you want aosp experience use custom ROM . If you don't listen you will brick again & again , so bad until you need to flash stock miui China rom then bootloader will lock & you will stay China Rom , so just stop now ...
Use miui global eu zip from twrp recovery or use custom ROM ( you can use aosp to have like android 1 )
Thanks for the info. Upgrade and downgrade the custom ROM, then there will be no problem?

Yes no matter what you do with custom ROM , there will be no problems..but don't touch miui official ...if touching miui global eu it is okay but be careful anyway ...
Only possible problem is when changing from android 10 to 9 .. sometimes persist can get corrupted, but you can find a zip to patch or restore it ..so yeah custom ROMs are okay ..just keep custom recovery ..if rom wants to put another recovery .. don't ..flash again custom recovery after rom ...so as long as you keep bootloader open ..keep twrp custom recovery ..play with any custom ROM you desire.

Hi,
did you installed the drivers?
Try using a USB port 2.0 (mine is only recognised in this way on my new pc).
I have a question: you have updated your device, is it possible to downgrade to the latest xiaomi.eu rom? (the baseband will be overwritten with the previous version?)
I ask this just in case i had to send the device to a service center.
Thanks in advance, hope my advices will help you.
Greetings, Davide1994
EDIT: did you installed Storage Encryption?
Hi guys as we know Redmi 9t comes with tow Types of touch panels one of them is NVT-Ts which doesn't support Custom Roms, i found this kernel that support NVT-Ts and it works almost on any rom , that's the link of the kernel https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rdHdhVSWCE_8EyTkr8EOKoWTTsS94zG_/view?usp=sharing
flash it after you flash your custom rom and after that format your data and reboot and enjoy
thanks for the developer who made this possible
Hi. You test it this kernel ? Is safe to install it ? What roms do you use/ have tried ? Thx. I have the same type of screen and phone is detected as lemon not lime and i didn't get the 11 EEA rom yet even it is official released for lime in EU.
U can use miui.eu, it works good.

Hi. Can you provide a link with the rom you installed please ? Thx. For custom recovery do you need a special tipe of stable rom (a standard original rom from xiaomi but modified for custom recovery) or it is working with any stable/beta rom from xiaomifirmwareupdater.com like this: https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/lime/stable/V12.5.2.0.RJQEUXM/
And other thing, i must wipe cache, davlink or data from PBRecovery before or after i install android 11 or i don't need to do that ? Now i'm on android 10 MIUI:V12.0.12.0.QJQEUXM and no OTA to 11 yet. Thx.
I forgot one thing - before installation of miui,eu, You have to first install via fastboot A11 rom.
A11 rom - https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/lime/stable/V12.5.4.0.RJQMIXM
miui.eu: https://miuipolska.pl/redmi-9t-stabilna/

Thx for links but if my phone is recognized as lemon and not lime (like in rom description) how it will flash in fastboot ? I don't want to get me some errors and possible (or sure) brick my device. That screen type ruins everything on this phone...lucky me. Thx again.
My phone is also lemon.
