The device comes with 3gb of ddr3 ram, certainly not the newest, but can accomplish most tasks.
There are issues though when upgrading to marshmallow 6.0.1 there is a huge battery drain, about 3% battery per minute absolutely inexcusable, seems the only stable firmware is the lollipop what a shame.

Mashmallow 0.7-0.8gb of 3.0gb available ram

Never really recognized any closed Apps in the background. But I have the 64/4GB model.
32/2GB version. in marshmallow run at least 5 at a time. in oreo, if you have facebook or Spotify, eliminate the others

Ram for 2gb model in multitasking is ok, but sometimes u need to close or fc running background to make a space to your ram and run smoothly..but overall multitasking is ok

Been using it for 3 days and have not had any app reload from the background. Although I don't really game. So for all uses not gaming its flawless with RAM management.
