Hi . How to fix this problem on my P8 Lite 2017 ? I can't download anything in internal storage
What did you do that made this happen? Rooted? Did you installed an app that does encryption, etc...
Factory Reset or changing Data or Internal Storage to "f2fs" filesystem in TWRP, would be my approach if I ever encounter that problem.
Backup important files.

Hello everyone,
I am facing a wired problem on my GT-N7000, after flashing new rom with wipe data and factory reset, all files in internal storage remains intact. :crying: i want to format that internal storage completely because there are so many junk files like, snote files and other application files which i don't use so can anyone please help me out?
Thanks in advance.
I have the same problem.
Using stock rom (no root access) I can format/factory internal SD card.
As soon as I'm rooting the device I can't do it anymore (from recovery's menu or Android).
I installed CM11 but no better luck.
Please help us.

Hello
After flashed some roms and other root practices I lost at least 12 gb from my internal storage. I realy have not idea how can i recover it. Of course i wiped all date and make everything what newbie rootmeister should do. So...
have you any isues?
P.S.
In system it is showing me 2gb (full memory size)
and in Hisuite on desktop is 16gb but 13/14 is filled.
Sorry for my english. I know it isnt perfect.
Factory reset with stock recovery should fix it
hello,
I have a p8 lite 2017. After few months of usage, the memory is already full.
Of course I have selected the sd as default storage, and I clean the internal memory (cache etc.) daily. I have installed only the strictly needed apps, but I have reached a point where I cannot even update apps because of this.
What can I do? does installing a custom rom allow me to move the apps to the external storage?
There is a solution for the old p8 lite (https://forum.xda-developers.com/p8lite/help/how-to-extend-storage-using-sd-card-t3614396). Does it wor for the 2017 version too?
thanks

Read the thread you sent a bit more carefully.
"Used with P8 Lite 2017".
And that should work but backup everything.
I purchased a 64GB SDcard for my Huawei P8 thinking I could use it as internal storage so Apps could be stored on it as the current 16GB of memory is not enough.
Only to find that using the stock ROM the only thing you can move to the SDCard are files (Pics etc.) not Apps.
Is this a hardware or software restriction?
If I install a custom ROM will I be able to use my SDCard as internal storage and store Apps on it?
Any recommendations as to the best roms to use?

Difficult in Oreo, a simple ADB hack in Nougat - and apparently inherited if updated to Oreo
Hi there,
I tried the search function but didn't really find an answer to my question:
Ist there a reliable way to turn my SD-card into "adoptable storage" and/or move my apps to the SD-card? I found a thread but it says it would not work on the latest "firmware" whatever that exactly means. I'm on PRA-LX1 8.0.0.408(C432) (EMUI 8.0.0).
I'm so done with the restricted storage space on the internal storage, it makes the phone practically unusuble to me and I would be glad for any help. Phone is not rooted but I did unlock the bootloader.
Thx in advance!
