Which firmware is the correct one for the UK G5s Plus so I can have the correct firmware for data? I cannot find the correct stock firmware for it.
So long as you have any XT1805 firmware it should work; they aren't region specific.

Will the 950U1 get updates in Europe when using an European SIM? If not how the firmware can be updated?

poland is now getting updates. F series unlocked, and im sure a day or so other models. i am more concerned with sim unlocked versions.
I have the n950f with a Canadian sim card and my phone just got the June ota update.
So I think your n950u1 should still receive the ota update.
Have you check software updates in settings to see if you have an update?
If not you can use samfirm to download your firmware and flash it with Odin on PC.

I have an AT&T variant of the S10 (SM-G973) and I wanted to flash the stock One UI ROM that is found on the unlocked S10 (SM-G970). Does anyone know if the firmware for the 970 can be flashed successfully on a 973 phone?

Why would you want to flash G970 firmware onto G973 phone? Can't you just flash G973 firmware onto your G973 phone?
My understanding is that the G973 firmware has the AT&T Bloatware and some functions/tiles hidden (like the mobile data tile for quick settings). I'm hoping I can do the stock firmware from G970 to not deal with the bloatware and have more access.

Have you thought about using unlocked G973 firmware? G970 is S10e model
Thank you, Charkatar. I bet if I paid more attention in my search I would have noticed the difference. Next step, find and flash the unlocked firmware!

Use SamFirm tool to download firmware you need ( I have attached zip file) and check out example image on how to search and download firmware your phone needs.
So under model, you would put SM-G973U1 (which should be unlocked model) and region you would put XAA (unlocked model) and click "check update" IF YOUR MODEL IS DIFFERENT FROM MY EXAMPLE, THEN ENTER THE CORRECT MODEL AND REGION YOU NEED

I'm on a Mac and can't open the windows .exe files. I did find a slight work around with Samsung SmartSwitch. Work has been so busy I haven't had time to find and download the U1 firmware for the S10. I"ll let you know how it goes!

Sorry to be a pain, but do you know which firmware i would use to get rid of the custom branding for this phone? I tried to download one from firmware finder because it will test if it its approved for your device, the download is only 1 of the three files that i was getting from easy-firmware.com

Hi m8,
The firmware from Firmware Finder is the OTA one like the one HiSuite or eRecovery uses when makimg an update.
As for customisation, you can't use other cust firmware on your cust because you will get softbricked (ex. flashing international C432 on Canadian C792).

That method allows users to flash a VOG-L09 firmware on a VOG-L04 device, but you will mess up your cust and in order to get certified on Google or revert back to your cust, you will need a newer than VOG-L09 flashed firmware VOG-L04 dload firmware ?

Hi Folks,
I have bought a G973U samsung S10 but it is not receiving any updates and I am obliged to flash it with ODIN, I heard that I can technically flash G973U1 XAA firmware on it and it will update via OTA, is this true please ? I have the SPR firmware on it. Thanks for your help.
Depends on the carrier. ATT (I assume you're in the USA?), for example, won't do OTA updates unless the IMEI also matches (and maybe some other switches at ATT that we can't change).
XAA should update on some carriers, at least. My XAA updates on TotalWireless (VZ MVNO)... I've actually blocked them because I want to stay on A11 for now.
I believe you can upgrade via ODIN yourself without using an OTA - just be sure to use the HOME_CSC file because the non-home CSC will wipe your data. Any reason you're not doing that? This way, you can control your own updates and timing.
Hello Sofiene.Saidi, look at the official US firmware here for your model, the best thing for you is to take a model for your European region.

I bought a G973U in Switzerland and it has XAA firmware on it. I think it is an ATT unlocked device but I have never had a single Software Update.

Thanks for your anwser Schwinn, actually it is fine with ODIN but each time I need to flask aprroximately 6Gb of firmware, it is somehow risky isn't it ? Can I flash USC firmware and get OTA updates please ?
If you're in France, I don't think you'll ever get OTA updates.
No, flashing the ROM a few times over the phone's life isn't going to affect the device that much. If you did it every day, then sure... but a few flashes over the life of the phone won't make much difference. I recommend you just do the updates yourself with these files and don't worry about the OTAs, because you are unlikely to get them.

NEVER try to flash firmware from a different model number. You could permanently brick your device.
The only firmware you should flash on a S911B/DS is the S911B/DS firmware.
Odin won't let you flash anything that doesn't match up to your model #. I tried on a SM-S9110 with USA software and was soft bricked. The only fix was to unlock the bootloader and go back to flashing a compatible software.
