(I don't know if here is the correct section of forum)
I'm interest in alternative rom for s advance, and , surfinh the net, i found this:

Should i flash this rom?anyone try this?
I don't know if it is a really android lollipop based rom for our s advance,( also i know , taht no one are developing rom lollipop for s advance, or not???)

Yes I was wondering the same. I couldn't find it though.
Till then you can try acdisplay or wave unlock from play store which uses proximity sensor to unlock.

Maybe we'll have some hope, as I've flashed the China Developer Rom (5.12.24 it is based on Android M), I can unlock the screen by press the capacitive home button. But I don't know if it's a bug or a new feature yet.

step 1
5.12.4 fastboot rom if you are not using china developer version you'll have to flash this
Get from the official site
step 2
flash 5.12.17 then 5.12.24 (this is what i learnt from chinese forum)
flash this ota (this will first merge the system partition (yep, it's a official merge))

then flash this rom which will bring your phone you Official Android M.

That link is the official link, you can tell from the link, it's 100% official. You can compare it with other Miui ROM download link from Miui.com

I'm actually Chinese, I got these from some post on official Miui forum (www.Miui.com) and baidu.com forum both of them are popular forum in China.
Forget to tell you, You cannot easily downgrade from 5.12.24(still doable but little harder) since the partition table is different from older versions.

Allright, well thats not a big deal since I am more interested in merging of partitions
I use custom roms and not miui
Still double tap on home button to wake is awesome feature if implemented in this version

This might be a bug, there are still huge debate on the Chinese forum. But I hope it is a new feature.

A useful bug I must say..
Unless it drains out all your battery

Why dont you use kernals which have DT2W double tap screen to wake rather than flashing new rom. Stellar kernal is good with moderate battery

1) DT2W kernels are generally battery hungry... but I will try the one you mentioned
2) I am flashing the rom for extended system partitions. I know there are scripts which do the same but lot users faced problems with fastboot and miflash. An official merge from xiaomi is reliable.
3) Double tap on hardware buttons to wake, if implemented, might save more battery than DT2W on screen.

He have developped AlcatelFlasher, a software that can read/write any partition on Idol3.
So, with this app, you can flash TWRP on Idol3.

Hi! At this moment Sahara & Firehose Test Tool app officially support only Idol 3 6039 and Idol 3 6045. I have Idol 4 6055 in my own, and already add it's support to app, but not released this version yet. I plan to add Idol 4 6055k later, if users will interested in this project and make some donations. Work on this was really hard and took more than a month of hard work. It continuing now, but new releases will be available in public after i collect some donate. It all depends on the users themselves. This is free, but project need their support.

I tried to install the drivers on Windows 7, but it fails to recognize my phone when I plug it to my PC.

When I went there I didn't see anything though. I did however use Russian translator so perhaps the translator was wrong????

OnePlus 5: The Chatroom
OnePlus 5: The Newsroom
These are a group and a channel created by me, open for everyone.
If you’re not familiar with Telegram, the Chatroom is a group, where everyone can talk. You can ask questions, discuss various topics and report your own findings there.
The Newsroom is a channel, where only admins can post messages. You can find all the recent updates there, so you don’t have to search through all the messages in the Chatroom.
How it works​Every new update etc. gets announced on the Chatroom so it doesn’t get lost. You can get a push notifications for these if you want. Discussion about these (among other things) happens in the Chatroom. This information will then be added or updated to the Info Hub, and at this point you can find it in all 3 places.
I strongly recommend you join the group and the channel, as new stuff will usually be announced there first. I will be keeping an eye on this thread as well, but Telegram is my priority.
How to contribute to this?​You have created a new ROM, found an interesting thread on XDA or the funniest review ever on YouTube and you're 100% sure it needs to be on this list? Or you simply found a typo or a stupid derp by our noobish maintainers?
The newbie way
Join The Chatroom on Telegram and report your findings there. Consider tagging any (or all) of the maintainers so the message doesn’t get lost.
The pro way
Fork this on GitHub, make your changes to the correct .md file and submit a pull request.
The goal is that the Info Hub will contain everything you need in one address, the Newsroom will have all the news first, just a Push notification away from you, and separated from other messages and thus easy to find, and the Chatroom will be the place for everyone to gather and chat. I hope I'll see you there!

Would a TWRP backup of OxygenOS work? I uploaded a system &boot backup yesterday that a couple of people have have useful.

Weird, link works fine for me. Make sure you have the app installed or Telegram isn't blocked by your ISP.

i have seen video for vayu with Utouch but nothing found on internet

Found out that vayu requires halium 11.0 which is in early development. Have to wait.
