hi all just a quick post i have just signed up on the HTC site when i type in my S/N number it is saying that there is no such S/N ihave tried to ring orange but they dont know what iam trying to do i just want to know if there is going to be a free upgrade to the phone to windows mobile 6.1 if not is there any other way of getting the update

Official versions of WM6.1 have not shipped yet. If you want an unofficial version, start with the stickies and the wiki found in my sig, to learn how to flash ROMs found in the development section.
If you have any additional questions, you should try to post in an existing thread.

FWIW, my ROMs are not 6.1
Make sure you don't use any of the ROM's with the name Alex in it. They don't have 3D video drivers. HEHE

Hi,
To start with click on the Gettings Started link in my Sig and read, all the information is there in verbose form.
But in short:
First you need to install HardSPL, this allows your phone to be flashed with a new ROM without it been bricked.
Once that is installed you can select and Flash your new ROM.
If the ROM you flash does not include a Radio then you may need to install a compatable radio. Click on the radios link in my sig and install a version to match your Windows Mobile Version.
If you have any problems with this post your problem in the relevant thread (all the threads are in the Getting Started Link in my sig).

Just as a matter of interest, why do you think you need a new Rom on your phone? Or, how do you even know that new Roms are available?
You've obviously read far enough to realise that the new Roms are both available and better, so why not read a bit more and answer your question yourself...

i changed from my hd2 to galaxy i9000 and it been 4 days now and im wondering in the department of android development and i read many things and expressions i don't know what it mean , like : apk , wipe , cm7 , sdk ....etc
and i didn't see a full guide for how to flash a room in galaxy s , may be it exist but i didn't find it , i don't want to do anything and result in breaking my galaxy

Im usually one of those silent users, who learned lot of stuff with my previous android devices (SII, Young, Ace2, and so), today i found myself with a 635 from Movistar Argentina.
I wanted to do a Suggestion post, to help me get in order for newbies the info about Lumia, would be my first usefull post, but as im not an expert i decided to do a question thread. Maybe i can latter make the post to help newbies as me to find a starter info with link
The point is, i found quite messy the info regarding Lumia phones, for example
There are methods to take from W8 to W10, unlocking, reflashing, etc.
In this moment i have like 10 tabs on windows devices trying to understand, and not ask with the "help help me plz" post.
So, the point is.
-At the moment, there are not Specific forums for any Lumia device as for example the S5 forum. (i couldn't find any with the search) we only have this sub forum of W8 phone http://forum.xda-developers.com/windows-phone-8 . And also is not separed on W7 W8 and W10, we have just this one, First error, there ARE sub forums for W7, W8 and W10, but there is a W8 RT and a W8 what is the difference between them?

-There are Unlocking methods, flashing and de-branding but not all of them function with al models.
Regarding deeper on this info.
We can change from W8 to W10
We can flash a Custom Windows (i assume?) Operating System
We can de-brand (take out logo for example?)
We can unlock
There are ways to install android on WP (as a professor used to say, if you want to go faster buy a bigger engine don't tunne it, so go buy android )
But i also found a thread about Phone internals, so....this internal are before or after or independant to flashing o unlocking?
¿Did my question get to the point? im trying to do a Dummy guide for new-ones like me to not spend 2 hours looking arround XDA to finish posting the "help me plz" post hehe. I saw in android forums that you can get a "read here all you need" post.

I have Samsung S5 mini ( SMG 800F ) and after installing rom, my phone dont see sim card and i am not able to call anywhere but rest is working. I think that rom was not compatibile with my phone. I need ROM from you which will restore my IMEI numer and modem (Stock settings) Becose now when i check IMEI i see MEID my orginal IMEI was Mod edit: IMEI removed or i need Guide step by step how to fix this and if necessary link to download software. I am able to pay fair amount of euro if you fix my problem.
Payment immidietly on bank account only if solution work or you will get more if you wait till next week wendsday 12.
P.S Every day without phone i am loosing money so am not gonna wait much longer, so i am asking for help people who whish to help, if you dont have knowladge and experiance to fix this please do not post in this topic.
