[Guide] Relock Your Bootloader - Huawei P10 Lite Guides, News, & Discussion

Welcome to the guide of relocking your bootloader.
First you need to get 2 things:
1.) Minimal Adb & Fastboot HERE
2.)Your bootloader unlock code HERE
3.) [Optional] USB drivers (In case windows didn't already auto installed them)
Ok so now onto the tutorial:
MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT ROOTED, NOT RUNNING A CUSTOM ROM, NOT USING A CUSTOM RECOVERY, BASICALLY BE ON FULL STOCK!
Procedure::
1.) Power off your phone and connect it in fastboot mode by holding the volume down button and plugging in the usb cable to the pc at the same time.
2.) Make sure your FRP is unlocked, if not, boot into the system -> all the way down to the last option -> Developer options -> OEM Unlocking
3.) Now open your adb & fastboot command prompt and type the following:
fastboot oem relock <your bootloader code>
Click to collapse
Your phone will now perform a factory reset and then your bootloader will be relocked.

Updated Firmware, how to re unlock bootloader after locking it?

Have manually updated my HTC ONE M7 to FW 4.19.401.11 following these steps from the thread here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2182823...
1. Re-lock your bootloader (this will most probably wipe content of your device)
2. Copy downloaded .zip to fastboot.exe location (e.g. c:/SDK/platform-tools/fastboot.exe)
3. Re-name .zip file to firmware.zip
4. Open command prompt
5. Boot your device in fastboot mode (vol down + power ===> fastboot)
6. Connect device to the PC
7. In command prompt cd to fastboot.exe location
8. Make sure you have correct modeid and cidnum (type: fastboot getvar all)
9. Type: fastboot oem lock (if your device is not relocked yet)
10. Type: fastboot oem rebootRUU and wait for device to reboot
11. Type: fastboot flash zip firmware.zip and wait for process to complete
12. Sometimes flashing for the first time doesn't work, so flash firmware.zip again just to make sure.
13. Type: fastboot flash zip firmware.zip and wait for process to complete
14. Type: fastboot reboot
15. Unlock your bootloader and flash custom recovery if you are going to use custom ROM.
But now the phone doesnt appear to boot im able to get into bootloader by holding down the volume button, any ideas why i cant boot into the HTC ONE do i need to re unlock the boot loader? If so how do you re unlock the boot loader after relocking it please?
EDIT: Im guess the phone doesnt boot as i need to flash a custom ROM??....if so do i have to re unlock the bootloader first?

1- Why did you relocked your bootloader?
2- ''HTC Bootloader Unlock Application'' doesn't say much. I guess you are referring to a toolkit which is not recommended to use
3- Why can't you unlock again? Get your identifier token from fastboot en send it to htcdev. Then flash your unlock code bin file to unlock your phone again. Then youll be able to flash a recovery and a rom...
I CAN`T flash unlock code because my phone not connected to my pc until I relock this!!!!!

not sure what you are trying to say here mate.
your phone doesn't need to be unlocked to be able to ''connect it'' to your pc. You should be able to use fastboot from bootloader to
1- get your identifier token
2- flash the unlock_code.bin to unlock it again
if you can't 'communicate with the phone using fastboot in bootloader, your drivers are not installed correctly on your computer.
in windows device manager, it should be listed as ''My HTC'' if your drivers are ok.

Stuck in bootloop. No custom recovery or unlocked bootloader.

So this morning I was lazy and tried rooting with the kingroot app, because I didn't want to factory reset. It went okay and I had root but I wanted to use SuperSU as my root manager. Well the binary wouldn't update so I figured i'd unroot from the kingroot app and remove kingroot from my phone, and root the proper way later. I pressed the unroot button and my phone rebooted, but now it's stuck in a bootloop.
I don't have an unlocked bootloader or a custom recovery, and I never checked the enable oem unlock in developer options so flashing stock isn't an option.
I tried sideloading the OTA for the build I was on, but I guess kingroot didn't actually unroot me, because it told me I needed to reflash.
I tried factory reset and wiping the cache in the stock recovery, and tried 'fastboot format userdata' and 'fastboot format cache' but that didn't work either.
The only thing I could find that might help is this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/help/info-nexus-6-nexus-9-enable-oem-unlock-t3113539
but since I don't think you can run adb commands in stock recovery or bootloader this won't work.
So is there any way to fix this or am I boned?
As far as I know the only fix is the one in that link but it does require custom recovery. I'm assuming the fastboot boot command doesn't work when locked but I've never tried, if it does then you could temp boot into twrp. Worth a shot I guess.
Hindsight's 20/20 but NEVER touch anything other than your data or cache partition with a locked bootloader. Google's security jump with lollipop has caused nothing but havoc for us.

If you already installed the drivers and know how to run fastboot commands skip to step 4. Otherwise, start at the beginning
1.) Install the Wugfresh Toolkit from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/development/toolkit-wugs-nexus-root-toolkit-v1-9-8-t2947452 so that the drivers you need get installed along with fastboot and adb commands.
2.) Open Nexus Root Toolkit after it has finished installing. Under advanced utilities click "Launch" then choose launch command prompt for manual mode.
3.) Put your device in bootloader mode (pwr+vol down) and connect it to the computer. Type: "adb devices" into the command prompt and it should list a device serial number. If it does, go to step 4. If it doesn't, unplug the phone and plug it back in and re-run command.
4.) Then run the command "fastboot oem device-info" and tell us what the output is.
Hopefully when you rooted it, it unlocked your bootloader automatically. If you successfully rooted and rebooted it should technically be unlocked. We won't know until you run fastboot oem device-info
or, you can grab the factory image of whatever version of android that you were on, "unzip" it, grab the system.img, and flash it via fastboot. its the same thing as if was a "custom recovery", youre just reflashing the rom, and wont lose your data
first thing id do is flash a custom recovery and unlock my bootloader, and make a backup in recovery.

Hi, thanks for the reply.
It says
'device info' is not a supported oem command. See fastboot oem help.
FAILED <remote failure>
However I'm fairly certain the bootloader is still locked as I was unable to flash TWRP, or a stock image of android, as it tells me to unlock before doing those things.
AFAIK when you have this problem together with a stock recovery and a locked bootloader means bricked. >repair
Your bootloader is lock and you can't boot android to enable OEM unlock to unlock it. You have ruined your phone and there is no known fix.
RMA time for you.
Literally no solution unless you can invent one on your own.
Is it necessary to have your bootloader unlocked to boot into a custom recovery from your pc? Say you download twrp on your pc, would fastboot boot twrp.img be a work around for that?

Absolutely. Otherwise anybody with a notebook could swipe your phone, download everything you've got on it, then return it without you knowing, and that would mean more nekkid selfies on reddit.

The entire concept of a locked bootloader is that you can't flash images through it.

oneplus 3t android 7.1.1 OS 4.5.1 unlock bootloader

Hi Guys
I am unable to unlock my bootloader. I have downloaded adb and fastboot drivers. I connect device. run adb devices, device details are displayed. i then run command to reboot into the bootloader. it reboots into the bootloader. when i run fastboot unlock oem nothing happens.
I have enabled the developer options, USB debug, OEM unlock, Advanced reboot
is there something I am not doing right?
adb is working in your system but fastboot is not working.
Check your drivers properly, they are not installed properly.
search for how to install adb and fastboot drivers on windows. There is no problem in windows xp but in windows 10 as in my case, you need to activate the developer option in setting and manually install the drivers. Go to device manager and check if your device is showing as android device when you go to fastboot mode.

Did you type fastboot devices?
It should show you that your phone is connected.
Then you can run the unlock command.

This is 2 months late, but if you're still looking for a possible solution, this is what I did:
1.) Download the tools you need here: https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools/ and extract
2.) Install LG United Mobile Drivers from here: https://lg-united-mobile-driver.en.lo4d.com/. I recommend uninstalling previously installed LG G4 drivers from Device Manager and then reinstall from that page. You may need to install additional drivers once you connect your G4 to your computer.
3.) In Developer Options, make sure you have "Enable OEM unlock" checked and "USB Debugging"
4.) Open a command prompt in the tools directory (hold shift, right-click inside the folder, and click "open command prompt here." If you've authorized your device to be recognized by your computer (two prompts should popup: one to allow USB connection and another to allow USB debugging), your device should be listed if you enter the command "adb devices"
5. Enter "adb reboot bootloader"
6. Once the phone has rebooted into the bootloader, you should be at the stage where you get the text on your phone, as you described. Enter "fastboot oem unlock"
7. Check if you've unlocked the bootloader: "fastboot getvar unlocked"
8. If successful, you can then go on to flash TWRP onto the recovery partition and root your phone by flashing Magisk from there.

Need help to relock the Razer Phone 2 bootloader.

Hi, Im kinda new to this bootloader thingy. What happen is, i updated the razer phone 2 to Pie, but notice wifi and sim card cant be detect. Even factory reset fails. So i thought of flashing new image on it. KINDA easy on my oneplus, but im not sure where I gone wrong on this razer phone 2, i accidentally unlock the bootloader. NOW the problem is HOW to relock it back? i been follow all youtube and guides all over the place but still fails.
The state of device atm, cannot be boot into Download Mode. Everytime I plug in usb c from Windows, it will boot into unlock bootloader warning page, and continue boot into the homescreen. testing the adbtools, fastboot also to no avail. Can anyone help and guide me how to relocking it back? Maybe i type wrongly on cmd or maybe other android steps not similar to razer one etc....:crying:help much appreciated.
Hold volume down while turning on. Then fastboot flashing lock.
the stock usb doesnt send things correctly in BL mode, https://www.amazon.com/Blackweb-3-Foot-Charge-Cable-Connector/dp/B07SG7P3KZ/ worked for me. with the correct usb cable you should be able to perform the lock commands correctly. can you give us more detail of what you tried on this phone so we know if we need to provide you additional information?
https://developer.razer.com/razer-phone-dev-tools/general-instructions/
"Locking the Bootloader
Locking the bootloader is recommended for security reasons. Some applications will not work with an unlocked bootloader.
Start the Phone in Download Mode with one of the following methods:
Using the adb tool: With the Phone powered on, execute: adb reboot bootloader Enter Download Mode:
Plug in a USB cable to connect your Razer Phone to your computer, Power Off the Phone, then turn it on and immediately press and hold the Volume Down button until “Download Mode” appears on screen.
Lock the critical partitions of the Bootloader first by running this command: fastboot flashing lock_critical
Your Razer Phone will show you a confirmation screen. Use the Volume Up/Volume Down buttons for navigation, and press the Power button to select. Your Phone will reboot."
I can't seem to enter download mode. All I have is fastboot mode and the option to either reboot, close the phone or enter recovery mode. I would really like to lock the bootloader, but I can't seem to be able to detect my phone on my PC even though I installed the fastboot driver.
