Hey guys heres an old port from my archives, figured I would throw the J700T community a bone, with what was my favorite J7 Port duck and I did. This one I love, so thanks to @parth111999 for his amazing work. I do have a couple 7.1.1 roms I have been working on the past few days and will be posting soon as I work out a few bugs. almost there..

Its a 7.0 bug. Thats why dna resolved it. Dropping a 7.1.1 today...stay tuned.. Maybe two, f u c k it..

Can you please host the files somewhere better than mega.nz? It wants to make me wait 4 hours per file before downloading. I even tried downloading their ridiculous software but still a 4-hour wait.

Strangely mega.nz is starting the downloads immediately now. They did say download times are based on current network usage and location. I am also on a VPN so who knows. As long as it's working now.

I would not, find what u want yourself and add to it. I do not know if the international rom devs have added or modded any of those files. Use at your own risk. The kernels they post, the flickering fixes, none of them apply to our phone. The xposed, i have no idea, the other stuff u just gotta make nandroids and test yourselves. Maybe report back and let others know if they work. This community is about communication and thanking if posts help u. So, always hit thanks and inform others of what works and what doesnt. If anyone knows how to build a device tree, get me one and I will compile aosp roms from source.
I was under the impression that this was Nougat 7.1.1. I think I will wait for your new ROM's with that version. I need some of the settings it has.

No this ROM is from December. Sorry. Wicked is 7.1.1 it's shared in the same J700t thread forum. That is new, I posted Friday.

There is no stable gapps for android M as of yet.. I would recommend you to integrate the gapps inside your rom to avoid bootloops and other mishaps until a stable gapps was released in M

I flashed having no probs but a lil batt drain but to me that's to be expected overall so great
With gapps for android M with initial release.. A lot of apps speciallu gplay has a leak hence the FC on every wake

Gapps will have some fc as there are no stable gapps yet. Thanks everyone here for helping out!
What are your plans for now?
Try to incorporate your own gapps and tts to improve your rom since its an initial release you can remove it on later versions sir

Why this thread?
As we all know, there is a thread by Sudeep Duhoon for volte patches but he isn't able to give updates frequently so i created this thread so that RR users can get frequent updates as I am myself on this rom and will create the patch as soon as possible after the updates are releases.
Instructions
Flash your Rom/update and all the necessary files that you want!
Flash the patch zip!
Flash the volte zip from Here!
Reboot!

I totally agree that he is trying but he hasn't even uploaded the 24/12/16 build's patch. And i don't blame him for that. This is just for the convenience of the users.

All I ask is for framework-res.apk, no one sent me till now.
Few people update their roms daily (not if delta updates), anyone requesting a patch just need to send framework-res.apk and patch will be up in an hour or so.
PS. Able to give updates frequently, just focusing on lte sim signal drops right now. :fingers-crossed:

I am from miui stable tester team,few months back i copy pasted ur firmware volte fix for MM based roms.I wud always be thankful to you for fixing my problem that time.It was just that volte was not working on RR official version 5.8 built 011216 for many users.I tried every method searched everywhere to get a fix,posted on ur official post but nvr got a reply.Maybe because volte was working fine for many other users!
Here is a new port everyone. This one I have tweaked just a little from the original(by SamFR) and prashantp01's port. Edge screen is inbuilt and the smart view fix is included. This is perfect for someone who wants a light and fast OS.

I have a small walkthrough I am making explaining how to update from MM 6.x to NN 7.x before people try to flash your ROMS/Ports.
I am sure a few people LIKE ME, were not thinking and tried to flash your NN roms without updating from MM first.
I will post later in some forum .. not sure which. Unless you want to add to your OP's.

it will be the DNA ROM port because of the DNA dev told me that it was carrying 7.1.1 for the other versions of the J7 or work in a ROM of its own

Awesome !!! I miss my Note 7.
V3 about to come out. Direct port of the a3 rom. Rebased on a710f firmware. With a whole bunch of extras. Fast and light.

This is a very nice ROM, but I'm having issues with the lockscreen, whether I set a pattern or a pin. I have to attempt an unlock several times before it'll unlock. Is there a way fix that?

No fix, nougat bug. Its on every ROM including stock. Keep tapping the screen after entering pin and or hit recent. Should make it faster.

Thanks for the quick response and your work on these roms. Really fantastic stuff. One more question if you don't mind. Do I need to flash magicdisk before I install this ROM? Some tutorials say I do. Magicdisk is new to me, I've been off the scene for a while.

1 prob found so far is that it shows volte but calling does not work with volte enabled sim..

We need "OEM Unlock" only the first time when we flash TWRP. After that, no need to unlock OEM. Flashing a rom must be from " TWRP".

This ROM was built to bring full S8 experience without lags and stutters.
KERNEL IS WORKS ONLY FOR J320F
This ROM isn't finished yet, I need somebody experienced to help me fix some problems.
Bugs:
All hardware working and most software.
Messaging working, entering app causes launcher to crash.
Phone app and dialing works, entering call settings causes crash.
Connecting to WIFI crashes settings sometimes.
Wait 10 minutes for the first boot, if it bootloops tell me, it works for me

I'll do some screenshots when I'll get home, right now I'm at school for the next 6 hours. The UI is like S8 but systemUI is stock right now. I tried using different systemUI and framework but unsuccesful

It has twrp lags, I did try using it but this base I'm using is cleaner. Maybe I'll use dreamux as a last resort.

Thread Updated with screenshots and small update, I fixed some small things.
As I really care about this ROM, I will try my best to maintain it bug free and flawless, but I also need your help guys! I tried many SystemUI's and frameworks but all of them are crashing. Also I need help with the messaging app. If any dev knows what could be the cause then please take a look into the ROM files.

Does the v 1.2 work on J320FN? Because the first one booted but system ui always crashes.

this one should boot normally, I fixed systemUI crash and for sim on FN you should try flashing the phn baseband.
