Apps start FCing as soon as i uninstall some bloatware. - OnePlus 3T Questions & Answers

I'm on Oxygen OS 5.0.3 on a OnePlus 3T with Magisk 16.4, earlier i noticed a peculiar behavior, everything works just fine at start but as soon as I uninstall some bloat apps, everything starts FCing even though the apps that i uninstall have nothing to do with the ones FCing.
I use SD Maid Pro's App Control to Uninstall apps such as Google, OnePlus Icon Packs, Openwnn, Email, Gmail, Duo, Chrome etc.
As soon as i finish that and reboot, and try to start up any app, it simply force closes, apps such as Amazon Shopping, Fleksy and PayTM none of which have no relation to the ones i uninstalled whatsoever. One thing that came to my mind was SD Maid might be messing with some permissions on the data/app block, but that seems to be fine as well.
I'm not sure whats going on, the same thing happens on OB28 as well. For now I'm Freezing the Apps instead of removing them and everything is working just fine.
Any idea whats going wrong when i remove the apps?
Thanks!

Do not remove Chrome as it acts as WebView for many apps

But shouldn't Android System WebView help with that ? Previously, I never used chrome, and most custom roms don't include it either.
I uninstalled everything, as expected, Amazon stopped working, downloaded Chrome from Google Play, moved it to System/priv-app along with libs, rebooted and Amazon started working again.
Guess I'm stuck with chrome ey?
Thanks!

[Q]Uninstalling stock apps and replacing with third party apps (dialer/message/cal)

Hello Boinic XDAers
My question is how deeply integrated are the stock apps such as Dialer/Messaging/Calender/Blur launcher ?
I'd like to download 3rd party ones such as go sms and custom dialer/contact apps and uninstall the stock ones.
will any of these cause continuous force closes or a soft brick?
Thanks!
Marc
Go ahead and install the new ones. Just dont uninstall the old ones. Once you set the new apps as the default you will never have to see the blur ones again. But yes it will probably cause issues to uninstall them. Besides, why? There really is no point to uninstalling the default ones.
If you really don't want to see the stock apps, you could try freezing them through Titanium Backup. If something goes wrong, you can unfreeze them.
Freezing an app this way does the same thing as uninstalling it (removes it from your app list/drawer and stops the system from reading it, basically hiding it from the system behind TTB's walls) but allows you to bring it back with ease.

Anyway to permenantly make Facebook and Google Maps User apps?

This is such a bizzare finding. I used Titanium Backup to completely uninstall Facebook and Google Maps from my phone. Then reinstalled them from the Play store so they would be user apps instead of system apps. I do this so I can use Greenify to hibernate Fb and Maps.
After a reboot, BOTH apps become system apps again!
Facebook as a system app is: /system/app/Facebook_Client.apk
Maps as system app: /system/app/GMS_Maps.apk
Anyone have any idea why, after a reboot, both maps and facebook become system apps again?
are you using a custom kernel that allows changing to /system to be permanent ? if not that would explain when they popped back up
ahh that must be why, ill haev to flash a new version of HTC button

Apps won't work

So, I tried using Lucky Patcher to remove all ads in my phone through its Toolbox. And everything went downhill from there: each time my phone booted up, it modified the apps, like it was upgrading. And, worst part is, some apps didn't work anymore at all like Apollo, QRDroid, Poweramp, Goggles, Pimp My Rom, etc. Thinking that Lucky Patcher was influencing the apps while running, I uninstalled Lucky Patcher and rebooted, and it remodified the apps like each time I boot it up. After clearing dalvik cache and booting, it didn't modify anything anymore, but the apps still don't work. I tried clearing their caches and/or reinstalling, but they force close the second I open them.
EDIT:Apollo works after disabling and re-enabling it.

Why didn't you install ad-free app or peer block module for xposed? They works very well and you don't need to patch everything.

Question Apps won't update

I have a recurring problem that apps stop updating. Deleting the Play Store memory and cache sorts it, but only for one or two apps then it stops again. Apps either just sit saying pending or download to XX% and then stop.
report it to Google
Clear system cache.
Clear data in related apps.
Delete, recreate Google Account.

I had this issue after the first beta. I had to go to apk mirror and install the latest update for the app that wouldn't update. Once I did that the next updates that showed in play store, updated correctly.
Edit* I believe this happened because I restored my Samsung backup including apps but I could be wrong. Either way that fixed it.
Unless you're having issues with the app I wouldn't worry about it. Updates can and do break apps. I use the factory load version still after 2 years on some of mine.
Some saved app versions go back 6 years and work fine!
Google's update crap is just that many times. Trying to scare you into constantly updating.
If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it bro...
You can also use ApkExport on another Android to make an installable copy then download it to the other device.

[Help Please] Galaxy store , Google Chrome , Android System Webview

Hello,
I've been debloating my samsung note 9 running android 10 and oneui 2.5 i have deleted a bunch of stuff and everything works fine however im experiencing a few issues and im guessing it has to do with something i have removed not knowing it was needed
I know i can do a factory reset but i have everything setup and running perfectly except these minor issues and wanted to see if anyone could help me pinpoint what services are missing that are causing the unusual behaviour
1.Google Chrome and Android System Webview show as needing updates in play store however they will not update when i try
2.Galaxy store opens but when i attempt to click my apps or update it loads a white page with a black bar then says 504 error timed out
3.Using Simple Gallery Pro application it requests i point it to the sd card location when i press ok to do that its meant to load the file manager window however i get file manage not responding then both apps close (when i open the file manager myself it opens fine)
Any suggestions on what may be causing these 3 issues would be appreciated
I guess it would be very hard to know like this. That's one of the reasons why you make back up but that is not important now since you don't have it. I had a similar problem you have been mentioning on the 1st and 2nd point and my problem was WebView.
Still having files not responding when trying to point simple gallery pro to sd card not sure if its app issue or if i have removed an essential service during debloat i feel like its a app issue because i can open the myfiles app and do everything without any issue other gallery apps work no problem ?
Other 2 issues #1 AND #2 have been resolved
