Hi All,
I have purchased a Z3+ in the UK on contract through O2, and am quite frankly sick of the O2 branding on it, as well as having to wait longer after Android Updates are released.
Where can I download a stock Z3+ Android version, and flash it into my device without rooting/unlocking and loosing any features or voiding my warranty?
Thanks in advance! :good:
Cheers,
Seb
Because there are plenty of howtos on every android related site the answer is short: Get Flashtool and XperiFirm.
With XperiFirm you can download an unbranded firmware and with Flashtool you can flash it to your device. No root, etc. required. The firmwares you download with XperiFirm are downloaded directly from Sony servers and no data is modified/added; the original files just get decrypted and repacked in a new and easy to handle format (one FTF file).

Thanks a LOT an3k, much appreciated.
Since I am running Mac, I won't be able to use XperiFirm I'm afraid, but Flashtool works! Do you know if anyone has made the appropriate Firmware available for the X3+, even if it is slightly outdated (i.e. 5.0.1 - can update via Playstore later, no?)?
Thanks,
Seb

You're welcome. I just got my Z3+ today but have plenty of experience with the Z2.
For the Z2 there was a stick thread that collected all the FTF files created by users and there is one (not sticky yet) for the Z3+ but it's not that well maintained and supported as the Z2 one was. In fact it only lists Asian firmwares and those are all branded.
I'll download the most recent unbranded UK firmware, create a FTF and upload it to Google Drive so you can use that one. Should be there in ~30 minutes.

In the thread I mentioned, it includes the Customized UK firmware (1295-7703). But it's the older version. Anyways, might be good for you to download the latest .24 and then share the link here.

Oh, you're absolutely right. I thought all these versions are for the asian provider "ChoiMobile" but after taking a closer look I saw it's a forum
The latest for UK is E6553_28.0.A.7.27_1295-7703_R6A.ftf which I'm currently uploading.
I'm surprised that the Z2 already got Android 5.1.1 (yesterday) but the Z3+ is still on 5.0.2
Wow thanks a lot for all this, much appreciated!
The firmware you're uploading, that's the untouched UK firmware I can flash straight away via flashtool?
Sent from my E6553 using XDA Free mobile app

I didn't realise there are 2 UK firmwares that are on the newer .27 firmware. Most other firmwares are on the .24. Wonder what's the difference?

Yes, you just have to activate one checkbox but everything is simple. I'll write down the things you have to take care about together with the download link once the upload is done.

Good question! Haven't seen any changelog yet!
Is .27 even official yet? Should be!
hi guys. I'm on latest .145 firmware that's what my phone came with with. I'm rooted but as you all know that xposed won't work after .75 firmware. I tried downloading the only .75 firmware from Xperifirm which was customised Israel but for some reasons it won't flash. It flashes but the version is still .145. Can someone gimme a link to working .75 firmware? Thanks

I have the same problem... Did you find it?
Have a look here for older versions to download:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-xz1-compact/how-to/sony-xperia-xz1-compact-firmware-t3707002
The .75 firmware there is G8441_Customized DE_1310-4373_47.1.A.12.75_R6B.

Problem is that this is german version...
@ArdW, you don't mind an Israel version, but German version is a problem?
I guess you still can select whatever language you need.
The OP mentioned that .75 Israel firmware was kind of refused after flashing and instead original .145 version booted.
Testing DE .75 option sounds good enough to see if downgrade from .145 should be possible or if Sony has disabled that. Could you please try and let us know?

I think downgrades might have been locked out by Sony, didn't work for me when I tried it, about a year ago.
Hope I'm wrong and you just need to find the right firmware.
Hi guys so is there any info when can we expect to get android 10 in Europe?
I've tried googling, but all i get are results for beta versions of Indian phones.
I've bought phone yesterday, am impressed so far, but notification bar is a mess and Always on display is so useless and basic that i don't use it.

It's coming in March. The Realms Europe brand is weak AF and their software support page is still two updates behind.id keep an eye on Realme India support page as software is the same as Europe:
Though they are still pushing out latest OTAs in Europe.
By the way you can't get on beta as it is closed

Do not try crossflashing before taking a proper backup via Qfil first, just to keep u safe if things go wrong.
