I'm the developer of atmosHere (play on words of atmosphere) Weather for Android, an Android app to make weather smarter, and simpler. The app is "Card UI" based, similar to that of Google Now, and is powered first and foremost by the hyper accurate Forecast.io. By using Google's Fused location Provider, we can get your exact location and get down to the minute weather information, all while also getting data for the upcoming week! The app prioritizes information based on the current weather conditions. So if there is a weather alert for your location, that will be the first card you will see! Similar concepts are used else where, if it's raining or snowing, you will get a card for nearby traffic accident counts. This pattern is used throughout the app. This makes it extremely simple to get glance-able information about what is going on right now, and other data that applies based on the conditions. The card ui also makes it simple to fling down a little further for the upcoming week weather, chances of rain, device sensor readings (barometric pressure, temps, etc), pollen counts, UV index, astronomy information, and many more! The app is also extremely configurable, by allowing users to toggle what information they want to see, allowing them to personalize the data they get within the app!
Just recently (last night) I added a new feature that I have yet to see from any other Forecast.io powered app. Forecast.io provides TONS of information, but for the normal person it is hard to parse through all the data given and make sense of it and what it means for the weather. So i have taken the data given, and "pre-parsed" it in a sense, and turned it into a friendly, readable, format when needed. For example, forecast.io provides a summary for a given days' forecast, "Breezy starting in the afternoon, continuing until the evening." and then this is where I come in and add additional, relevant information. So if there is a high chance of rain in the forecast, I will add precipitation information, "75% chance of rain, with light rain starting at 5pm". This gives you the chance of rain, how heavy it will be (can range from very light to very heavy), and then the forecasted time of that precipitation! I also do the same for the given temperature. So you may see "High for today of 35, with a low of 25" and if it will "feel" warmer or cooler than the given temperature, it will also let you know! This makes the forecast for every day personalized and relevant, and lets you very quickly flip to a given day's forecast and know exactly what the forecast is. No need to flip through charts of data, and stare at numbers trying to make sense of them!
The app also features data from other services to aid with contextual information, such as traffic conditions, marine and ski conditions, latest earthquake information, and even a feed of National Weather Service Audio Streams! This will be built out even further going forward, allowing users to custom tailor the weather information they are shown!
The app also features radar data of all types, from precipitation, to weather alerts, and plenty more! Your Android standards such as widgets, notifications, and even extensions for the ever popular DashClock and Muzei are included! The app has already been optimized for Android Wear once it is released to the public. Google Glass has not been forgotten either, as there is a build ready to go for when Google Opens up GDK app distribution!
I have a G+ community setup that I am posting information about updates, bugs, and asking random questions for possible future updates. I will also answer any questions or I am open to just good old conversation! I am always open to suggestions of new ideas for the app. It's been extremely enjoyable thus far getting that app to where it is, and look forward to keeping that going. I also have no problem answering any emails if you prefer taking that route. The about section of the app includes all contact information you could ever need.

I have been doing weekly releases, and the app has improved tremendously over the last few weeks. We are now sitting in the top 30 in free weather app!
I have also worked on a free version, as some people have seemed hesitant to purchase without being able to really try the Card UI style out first.
So atmosHere Weather Free has been published just today!
Google Play Feature!
atmosHere Weather is now being featured on Google Play!
Feel free to join the G+ Community as well to follow development, make suggestions, or report bugs! There's a current Reddit thread right now as well.
I bought this the other day for my brand new Note 4. After installing all it would do is tell me i was running an unlicensed version. Pretty odd behavior considering i bought it via the play store. Had to request a refund pretty much immediately. Shame. I liked the look of this.
I have developed a document scanning app and published it to Play Store. It started with the basic document scanning features and then I added more down the road along with enhancements and fixations.
Now I feel I have reached a stable phase with my app. I would rarely come across bugs and the next phase would include features that will take a lot of coding. I have been_ and still am_ surveying my existing users but would also like to hear from you too about it.
Here are my next features to develop. Would like you guys help me prioritize them:
a. Fax a scanned document
b. Print a scanned document
c. Sign a scanned document
d. Add a routine for local backup/restore
e. Import multiple images from gallery
f. Chrome App (to edit scanned documents from Google Drive)
g. Voice commands to perform actions
Also, if you think I may include other features.
Current app features include:
1. Scanning optimized camera
2. Image enhancement functions
3. Mutli-level filing system
4. OCR, search and sharing functions
5. List, grid and starred view
6. 8 cropping guides
7. Sync to Google Drive and Dropbox
8. Convert scans to PDF and export PDFs to the SD card of mobile device.
If you would like to test the app in action or watch a vid, find it on Play Store: Smart Document Scanner
If you want an automated version of the survey, you can find it on app website.
Please indicate you're fellow XDAians in the final 'other' field.
Cheers,

Android 5.0 "Lollipop" is the latest version of the Android mobile operating system developed by Google. Unveiled on June 25, 2014 during Google I/O, it became available as official over-the-air (OTA) updates on November 12, 2014 for select devices that run distributions of Android serviced by Google, including Nexus and Google Play edition devices. Its source code was made available on November 3, 2014.
One of the most prominent changes in the Lollipop release is a redesigned user interface built around a responsive design language referred to as "material design". Other changes include improvements to the notifications, which can be accessed from the lockscreen and displayed within applications as top-of-the-screen banners. Google also made internal changes to the platform, with the Android Runtime (ART) officially replacing Dalvik for improved application performance, and with changes intended to improve and optimize battery usage, known internally as Project Volta.
QUESTIONS:
-What are you guys thinking about this new update for our phones?
-What are you thinking about new MATERIAL DESIGN?
-What about ART? (pros--cons)
-Guest user mode? Good?
-What about app compatibility?
-more soon

-Next Lollipop updates-
Update 5.0.1
As of now, there is no word on what precise changes the Android 5.0.1 update brings; though we can expect the release to bring fixes to various bugs and issues reported by Android 5.0 Lollipop users in the recent few weeks. With the release of Android 5.0.1 factory images for Nexus devices, we can expect that Google will soon announce the incremental update.
Update 5.0.2
Android 5.0 is has been publicly available since early November, and the number of devices getting Google’s latest OS is growing bigger every day. In the first few weeks after its release, Google focused on stability and released quite a few update builds. Now, it’s the time for a small numerical bump, because Android 5.0.2 has just been pushed into Google’s AOSP repos.
Android 5.0.1 was rather minor update, with only a few notable changes. Android 5.0.2 is definitely bigger, but it’s still not huge. Google managed to address some issues with MountService which should now start before performBootDexOpt. This fixes a previously reported bug in the issue tracker. Some other changes related to NAND have also been pushed. Fstrim, introduced in Android 4.3, caused some serious issues on Lollipop. According to this log provided by XDA Recognized Developer cybojenix, devices turned off for the night had problems with fstrim being launched at all. Google addressed the issue and devices with slow NAND should now have a noticeable performance boost.
Nexus 7 (Wi-Fi) and Nexus 7 (Mobile Data) device trees have been updated. As a result, new factory images for the Nexus 7 (2012) and updated binary files are have been pushed. As usual you can get them from the Android Developer Page. An updated device tree for tilapia is a good sign, as it’s one of two devices that haven’t received an official update already. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, signaling that Google will finally bring official Lollipop to the missing devices sooner rather than later.
If you want to build Android 5.0.2 yourself, you can update your current sources by executing the following command:
repo init -b android-5.0.2_r1 && repo sync
Update 5.0.3
A memory leak occurs when Android allocates a chunk of system memory for a task and then doesn’t release it again. This means that over time more and more memory will be allocated and none ever given back. Even with 2 or 3GB of RAM, eventually the system will run out of memory, and that is never pretty.
The thread on the issue tracker is hard to follow as there are lots of complaints and there is lots of general unhappiness, but little in the way of official comments from Google or Android developers. However it does now seem that Google has agreed that this is a bug, and that it has been fixed in the source code. What that means is that the latest source code used to build Android doesn’t leak memory. However that doesn’t actually help affected users at the moment. The next step is for Google to make a new release of Android, probably Android 5.0.3 Lollipop, with this and other bug fixes. However there is no news on when that will be. Let’s hope it will be soon.
Update 5.1
Google released Android 5.0 just over a month ago, and since then Lollipop has been trying to establish its position in the global smartphone market. Despite its many new features and overall greatness, Android 5.0 has many issues that still need to be addressed. According to our colleagues at AndroidPIT and their two internal sources, Google is working on Android 5.1, which should really come as no surprise because software progress is inevitable. We already know that Google is always looking ahead, but the interesting part is that if rumors are to be believed, we’ll see 5.1 as soon as the end of February.
This information, although plausible, could strike one as a bit odd. After all, usually Google releases one or two versions of its OS per year. But with the potential release of 5.1 right around the corner, it’s unclear as to why Google would want to roll out a new update so soon.
If AndroidPIT’s sources are to be believed, the update will allegedly bring following improvements:
-Silent mode added after missing on Android 5.0
-General improvements in system stability
-Improved RAM management
-Fixes for sudden app closures
-Improved battery management
-Excessive consumption of network devices when used Wi-Fi fixed
-Issues with wireless connections fixed
-Problems with Okay Google function solved
-Notifications problems solved
-Some sound problems experience by certain devices fixed
-Other improvements and changes
The to-do list is rather long, and Google will definitely address some of these problems. AndroidPIT claims that they got this news from sources close to Google and Android 5.1 will soon become a reality. We can only wait to see whether these revelations are real or not.

General discusion about KITKAT for L5 & L7
The Android 4.4 KitKat operating system uses advanced memory optimization technologies. As a result, it is available on Android devices with as little as 512 MB of RAM. This is important because previous versions of the operating system required more internal memory which made them incompatible with many older device models. This was a major cause of the problem known as Android fragmentation.
Android 4.4 KitKat features a cleaner user interface, Near Field Communication (NFC) support and always-on touch screen action buttons, which replace the need for the physical buttons found on many Android devices. KitKat also boasts an improved security-enhanced Linux module, which helps prevent unauthorized app access.
Google announced Android 4.4 KitKat in September 2013 and debuted it on the Nexus 5 smartphone the following month. For months prior to the release, observers expected the OS to be called Key Lime Pie, but Google renamed it as part of a marketing promotion with the Hershey Company, which sells a candy bar called Kit Kat in the United States.

From my experience w/ L from my aging galaxy tab 10.1 is great. Its smoother than KK.
AFAIK, @Asce1062 will make cyanhacker L. That's what he said on his thread and this will be due this DEC 20. We just hope so and wait.
For me, LS and cyanhacker will be great for L. Since this two ROMs were the smoothest of all KK I've ever flashed. Except for the last version of LS which is buggy.
So for now let's just wait and see.

Yes, I have been syncing LS trees since they had Lollipop ? before Cyanhaker. But now that will change . I will be building Cyanhaker (Which is now based off of CM 12)... The developers promised to implement the speed tweaks from LS and even improve on them. Then maybe later on I will build LS.

Hi folks, I'm new MIUI8 SE user.
I've been using android for 6 years and I'm here - XDA - for 6 years
Since I got my first android phone which was Motorola XT910, I came here xda devs forum and search what can I do. I realized to install roms on android, custom roms. And after a few months I saw MIUI 4 is available for my Motorola XT910. I installed it and it looks great. I can costumize wahtever I want with MIUI4, and later it upgraded MIUI5 bla bla..
After a few years later I bought Xiaomi phone to use stock rom as MIUI. I bought Mi5 and later Mi6. Now I'm with Mi8SE (will continue )
So, I've been almost use all MIUı since 4th generation.
Now I just saw MIUI 11 China Beta released for our and mosth xiaomi phone. I wanted you to see, install this great rom to your phone too.

How to install?
Just go to TWRP and wipe cache/data,
Format Factory Rest,
Install ROM,
And That's It...
Keep in mind that this is Chinese build and thus do not come with Google Play Services or any Google apps pre-installed, though they are easy to sideload. The features may also be slightly different from what you expect from global builds as well, given that they’re focused towards the Chinese market. Lastly, the language options are likely limited to English and Chinese.
We hope EU rom will be available this week. And global beta will come soon.
