Moto x not booting after Magisk install - Moto X Q&A

Moto x lollipop here. I downloaded Magisk manager and Magisk framework from the manager and installed.
I did a restart and now my moto x is not loading..
I am able to access boot loader ( I have default, will try installing TWRP tomorrow), it starts to load the android ( I have stock rom) with all animation, it then crashes and shuts down.
I recall redoing that there were some issues with some moto devices and Magisk. Please point me to correct post for it.
Please help. Thanks.

Need NMA 26.42-142 XT1771 Nicklaus stock ROM or just build.prop file?

I have Magisk rooted Moto E4 plus (Nicklaus XT1771 reteu) NMA 26.42-142, and I installed Xposed framework, which caused me stuck on boot screen, and I was able to recover from that with flashable zip uninstall tool for xposed. After that situation I lost my google play certification status, and I cannot pass Magisk manager safetynet check. It will be useful if someone have at least build.prop (located /system/build.prop) file or whole ROM to reverse changes.
Go to YouTube and search for stock rom for your moto e4 plus model.... When you install xposed framework on stock you haw to wait like 10 minutes or so for your phone to boot into system is not boot looping it is just rebuilding cache!!!

Bootloop - New fi Moto x4

I've just gotten my new fi Motorola x4 running Android 8.1.0 today. I've unlocked the boot loader via Motorola and I've rooted the device via Magisk. Since I had the Xposed framework on my old phone and loved some of the modules I wanted it on my new phone. Downloaded the Xposed Installed from the playstore, gave it root access with Magisk and attempted to install the framework. Phone is now stuck in a bootloop and it's been alternating between the androidone and motorola screens for about 45 minutes.
I tried to flash xposed-uninstaller-20180117-arm64.zip but got an error that it couldn't mount /system. Another page on the net had me holding down the power button and then spamming it ten times to tell Xposed no to load but that didn't seem to do anything at all. I created a disabled file as suggested on some sites but that did nothing to stop the bootloop:
touch /data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/conf/disabled
I actually had to make the /conf directory manually since it wasn't there. Wiped the cache with no better results. Factory reset did nothing to improve the situation and I was unsuccessful with sideloading the Xposed disabler found here:
https://android.gadgethacks.com/how-to/xposed-101-temporarily-disable-xposed-fix-bootloop-0179446/
It's hard for me to grasp how a completely empty barebones android phone which has only been rooted using Magisk with no other actions taken or software installed can be be stuck in a bootloop trying to perform a standard install using the Xposed installer. Not sure you can find a cleaner environment than the one on my phone.
Anyway if anyone has thought I'd love to hear them. I can boot to TWRP without issue and my phone is visible to both fastboot and adb.
Thank you!
Laugh this is just getting worse. I uninstalled Magisk and now the phone boots straight into recovery whenever I restart it. I'd flash a stock rom but I can't find one. I think I'm in trouble...
Reinstalled Magisk and it at least tries to boot up again but it just loops.

In summary:
Step 1: Download the flasheable zip file from the Magisk module uninstaller from the following link to the PC
Step 2: Send the zip file to the SD card of the phones or to the internal memory using MTP (most of the recovery of TWRP is compatible with this method)
Step 3: Now, touch the Install button and choose the Zip file of the uninstaller of the Magisk module that you want to update.
Step 4: After the completion of the installation. Go back to the TWRP home page.
Step 5: Tap the advanced option from the TWRP homepage. Choose the terminal option now.
Step 6: Type uninmod in the terminal box and touch the input button.
Step 7: Now, you can see the list of Modules and you have to type the Number you want to uninstall (Check the screenshot below)
Step 8: Finally, the magisk module will be completely uninstalled.

Ok good, I got scared for you a bit there, my post was not meant to be mean spirited but maybe you read it as such. As far as the bootloop i'm afraid i'll be no help.

TWRP and Magisk help

Hi everyone.
So I had a moto x4 for about year and a half before fricking up the charging port. So I recently acquired another one. Everything went smoothly the first month or so, with twrp properly installed and magisk too, but then I tried to install a magisk module and the phone bricked. I tried restoring via twrp backup but it didn't work and I ended up in a bootloop. So I flashed a stock rom. And when I wanted to install twrp it just didn't stick after a reboot and magisk would just get my phone stucked on the splashscreen.
I realized that, for whatever reason, a previous version of magisk would work (magisk 18.1) but I've no idea why. Magisk 18.1 is the only version that works. If I flash any other version from twrp my phone gets stuck on the splashscreen, same if I update magisk via magisk manager. And if I try to install any magisk module my phone won't start. But root permission works fine on other apps i.e. system app uninstaller, root explorer or swift installer.
Does anyone have any idea? It'd be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!

Moto e5 Plus XT-1924-7 TMOB soft-bricked flashing Magisk

I have a new-to-me Moto E5 Plus and I was trying to root it using this guide:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-e5/how-to/twrp-hannah-tested-xt1924-9-t3875406
I unlocked the bootloader with no problem (got the tiny "bad key" boot message), booted (didn't flash) TWRP, installed Magisk Manager, selected the beta update channel, and attempted to flash Magisk but got various versions of this error, “could not mount /data and unable to find crypto footer”.
Formatted (not wiped) data in TWRP, wiped cache, re-flashed Magisk (no errors this time) and rebooted so I could use Magisk to patch boot.img, but it just came up to the tiny "N/A" in the upper left corner of the screen.
I was able to force it into recovery by holding down "power" and "vol down" at the same time, and flash it back to stock with Lenovo Moto Smart Assistant.
Does anybody have any tips on rooting? Every guide for the E5 Plus seems to give different instructions, particularly regarding encryption.
Thanks!
Install the recovery of this topic: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-e5/development/recovery-twrp-3-2-3-x-moto-e5-plus-t3912189
Be careful to use correct recovery which in your case is the HANNAH-8.x (Oreo 32bit). Then just install the latest stable version of Magisk by twrp recovery. I installed smoothly in both the original ROM and also in Lineageos 8.1 and 9 on my Rhannah XT1924-4. Magisk works great on all ROMs.

Moto E³ stuck in bootloop

Hello I have a problem my Motorola Moto e³ Xt1700 is in bootloop and twrp says "no os installed are you sure to restart?" I've had problems installing twrp because there were only twrp versions for Moto e³ power but then I installed it using this tutorial https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-e3/help/one-package-to-root-twrp-xposed-moto-e3-t3524225 after that I was in Twrp but after that I was in a bootloop, I knew that because my Moto g1 had the same problem with it and the solution that worked was install stock rom but my TWRP always says that after I'm trying to install the zip file : Could not find 'META- INF/com/google/android/update
-binary' in the zip file.
Error installing zip file '/external_sd/TWRP/

Does anyone have a solution?
