Hi, I have a Galaxy S6 unlocked, before was with T-Mobile. It was rooted and has a problem with service. Always that I was trying to connect with a network says "No Registered". I heard that updating my S6 will help, so I used Smart Switch to do it, I did a backup of everything before starting, but when the installation finished, a litlle message appears saying that I have to install DRK first.
I don't know anything about it and I got scared because I dont know what to do, I hope someone can help me, and if it was a post of this before, please forgive, but I gave up searching for solutions.

I don't have this device but, your best bet is to post this question within the following Q&A thread that's specific to your device.

Good Luck!

I DO NOT provide support via PM unless asked/requested by myself. PLEASE keep it in the threads where everyone can share.
DRK Issues tend to be fixed by using combination firmware. It tends to live in either The Modem Firmware, or in the recovery image. Flashing the Combination Firmware for the bootloader revision tends to fix this problem. I've only seen it not fix the issue like one time because it was a modified combination firmware to begin with.

You need root privileges to read and write to the efs folder. You can try flashing the Odin files, but it will wipe your phone so back everything up.

I'm not going to do that, and I doubt most other people would be willing to give you their efs folder. I understand the predicament you're in and I'm sure you are well-intentioned, but this would give your phone the same IMEI as my phone. First off it is illegal to have two phones with the same IMEI, second you could potentially report the IMEI stolen and lock my phone or worse. While I don't think you'd be malicious it, I'm just not comfortable giving it to you.
This would be very similar to somebody giving you a copy of their license plate from their car because yours fell off. It's just bad idea.
Since Odin won't work (it should), I suggest calling Samsung support and tell them you received an OTA update via AT&T and your phone doesn't work. Unfortunately you're going to have to lie and tell them that you were in the United States on AT&T's network, but hopefully you can send it in for a warranty repair.
In the future (I'm assuming you bought the phone for full price and it isn't subsidized by your carrier), always buy the international version of a phone with an unlocked bootloader. If you're paying full price for a phone there is no reason not to buy a bootloader unlocked phone because you would have a lot more options if you run into problems. Sorry I can't help, but hopefully you are able to resolve your proble.

So please bro I promise I will show you that I will have my IMEI or a 0/0. Please bro please
And besides I bought this phone without knowing anything about int. Version I just Bought it to use it. And all I know right now I learned from here so I'm sorry but I used to be iPhone user and then I was using a LG thrill from AT&T so I thought this was not going to give me any troubles

I understand the predicament you're in and I understand that you have software that will change the IMEI to your value, but even if you are able to do that, how are you going to get it on the phone? As I said before you need root privileges to read or write to the efs folder. So even if you are able to make the changes with the software you found you have no way of loading it to the phone so you're still in the same situation you are now, you just have my efs folder.
There should be a local Samsung representative in your country, try calling them, maybe you won't have to ship it to the US.

yes youre right i need root privileges to do it in the phone however i have learn how to créate a image file to flash it into the phone with ODIN i have found that this has been done in some older models like in the Galaxy note 2 or Galaxy s3 you can find that info just for you to make sure that im not lying to you. thats why im insisting on this cause i have found similar problems with those phones and the way to fix this is the one im trying to do. i understand that this may sound suspicious but im not trying to do anything wrong with your phone im just trying to fix mine i understand that is not your problem but maybe i can find a solution for other guys who will have this kind of problem.
i know is not your problem but please sir let me try and probably i can do something good and then i can share what i learn here
and here i have Samsung Guatemala yes youre right and i have took my phone to them and they were not able to fix it. because its not from the country and they cant do anything on this case so im stucked to this

So you're going to run into another problem then, the bootloader on this phone is locked so you will not be able to flash anything that isn't signed by Samsung. If we were able to flash things to the phone then we would be able to root and install custom recovery. You're pretty much screwed, you still don't have a way to get the efs on to your phone.
The ML2 Odin files should fix the issue you're having, but as you mentioned before it isn't. Did you flash the ML2 bootloaders? If you didn't then you can always downgrade to MF1 or MI2 and root the phone. I'm sorry I can't help you, but you really don't have any way of getting the modifying the efs folder on your phone without root.
Hey Guys
Sorry if this question has been asked before. I've searched all over but not found any solution though.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830V. I previously bricked it and restored stock firmware and now when i turn on my device it says Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830I. The problem with this is that i now wanted to unlock my phone and when i use the Vodafone Unlock Tool (found by searching "vodafone unlock tool") and when i enter the unlock code into the Network Unlock thingy it says "Network Unlock Unsuccessful". I think that the problem is because the unlock tool says its for GT-S5830V and my firmware has changed to GT-S5830I. Please, does anyone know where to find the stock firmware for GT-S5830V or is there a way i can FULLY restore my phone to when i bought it instead of just wiping all the apps off (because all it does it wipes all the apps off and doesn't actually "restore to factory defaults")
Please correct me if my understanding of the problem is wrong and if somehow i can get my hands on another unlock code without paying some weird "unlock your phone here" website.
Thanks in advance

I tried doing the solution on that link and it didn't work. so i clicked on the link that was on that post that said improved method and i got everything right until the hex editing where the hex search didn't work so i couldn't find the code.
Does anyone else have any ideas? I had to pay another $20 on vodafone so i can still call and text so at the moment my new sim is just a waste of money so i desperately need a solution.
Thanks again for your attempt at helping and your quick reply:good:

Bro, did you run Install after you installed BusyBox on your device? You should check the comments from the site. Most of guys who didn't open the BusyBox app and run Intall received this error. While doing a full Install solved it. Do post your result. Hope I helped

Try to follow this video. As per the video, if you get "or or or" error, run Smart install again on BusyBox. If that doesn't work, I also found a site on the comments of this video. It seems the site unlocks any phone & it's free cause they run on user donations. I have no personal experience with this site, so use at your own caution.

I think that when you re-flashed the rom from brick the phone got network unlocked. Did you try another sim before trying to unlock it?

Yes i tried with Amaysim.
I got a reply from Vodafone and they supplied me with a master reset code. I followed the method provided and when I entered the reset code into the phone keypad, it said "Mobile Network not Available". I guess I just have to take it to Vodafone to get it unlocked. Will they unlock a rooted phone or will they not accept it? If they wont then i can just unroot it.
Guys I found a confusing solution. While on my way to Vodafone I unrooted my device just in case they didn't allow rooted devices. Once i got there the guy must of thought i did something wrong with the unlock code so he decided to get the unlock code for me. Once he got the unlock code he switched the sim cards to enter the code but strangely we were not prompted to enter the code and the sim just worked. I rooted my device again to see if that was the problem and I was prompted to enter the unlock code so it was so i unrooted it again. But unfortunately nothing seems to go right for me now and now I can only connect to wi-fi if my device is rooted. If i try to connect while unrooted it will attempt to obtain the ip address for a while until it gives up and says the network is disabled. Does anyone happen to know a solution to this problem?
Thank you to everyone who tried to help

Hi all,
I am in desperate need of help with this AT&T Samsung Galaxy S5 that I found in abroad. Before I get chewed out with accusations of theft, I found the phone in a restaurant and gave to the staff who returned it to me after 3 days an no one had come to claim it.
Anyway, I have been trying to unlock it for use in Canada. I'm a bit of a noob, so please be patient Started with a commercial unlock code to SIM unlock. I received a "successful" message, so I assume it worked. However, I was told that AT&T locks other SIM cards from working on their firmware, so I began to try to flash and install a custom rom. I went to geohot's towelroot page and clicked the lambda. I think it did something. For some reason, I decided it would be a good idea to do factory data wipe from the volume down+power+home recovery screen. Now, I can't get past the initial setup which is asking for my original Samsung login ID, which I obviously don't have. In addition, I can't flash the rom with Odin or install off of external SD card.
Please help!!!
Thanks!

Have you tried this thread yet? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53454972&postcount=1 it should help you flash in Odin.
So, I had reformatted my phone via recovery mode. I did this not knowing samsung would force me to put in my samsung account info when turned on for the first time... I had actually sold it to a friend, thinking he would just sign in through his account. This caused an issue and it needed the original samsung account of the previous owner (which is me). I put in my information and it just says "processing failed". I had changed my password, made sure it was the correct information and it all was but it never worked and came up with the same error.
So what I am looking for now is a completely fresh install of a either lollipop for the, specific "g900aucu3boc4" version of the S5. Anything to bypass that ridiculous error and literally start fresh, like a brand new phone would. I will even accept 4.4.2 if available. Anything to help me, because I have sold this to my mate and he has STILL not got the phone after about 3 weeks... I really hope you guys can help, will mean a lot!
Thank you all! :good:

hello, umm I'm very new to this, consider me a noob for forums, but I really had no other ideas on who to turn to... so my apologies in advance. so, recently, I discovered this whole thing, I didn't even know how to work it out until couple of tries, until I managed, to, but, in the end, what happened is: my first rom to ever install I think was FloydQ if I remember, but, then when I wanted to restore to official firmware, I got an error when using Odin, so like, what happened in FloydQ installation was, I got to the part where it asked me to select a csc code, which at the time i had no idea what it meant, and I chose a random code for OXA, and my original code is ILO, but the issue is, I downloaded endless firmwares for ILO, but none of them worked, always ended up with a fail in Odin, I just wish to restore original firmware with ILO csc code, but no matter what firmware i tried, it just didn't let me.. please some help here? I could really use some.. any help will be good enough much thanks to all who can, best regards, and God bless...
