WiFi and NFC issue connecting to Nikon - Nokia 7 Plus Questions & Answers

I own a Nikon D7200 which is capable to connect to any smartphone using WMU or SnapBridge app, using WiFi and NFC.
No problem with my previous phones (Honor 7 e.g.)
Issue is that after connecting to the Nikon SSID, the 7 plus says: connected, no internet. So my Nikon cannot find my Nokia.
Is there a possibility to use some advanced features and modify Wifi setup?
I know, stupid question for this forum but it’s worth trying.

hi

is any apk to use my nokia 5800 phone as modem with my gtablet????
thx.
Since it uses the Symbian OS, you can try tethering it via Bluetooth. I know that for the most part Android tablets in general have problems tethering to another Android phone via Bluetooth, but seem to work well on phones utilizing another OS (i.e Apples iOS)
I am in the same situation is there any more information on how to do this?
Have you guys tried BT?
i think that i found a solution,, you have to install joiku spot on your nokia 5800 and that's it.
Joiku Spot is an aplication that convert your nokia into a wireless router.
Hi, I'm currently using Barnacle on my Huawei phone to tether my GTab...works great!

[A] Using Internet with Touchpad and Symbian Nokia Phones

Ok, we have the problem that Symbian (Nokia C6, S60v5 in this case) only offers an Ad Hoc wifi hotspot (with Software like JoikuSpot) while stupid Android (unlike many other OS) has trouble with connecting to these kind of hotspots.
I have CM10 on my HP Touchpad and non of the solutions I found in the web worked.
Finally I found a different solution to use the 3G-Internet of my phone with the HP Touchpad: Bluetooth!
Using "bt DUN" by StribogKonsult you can use your phone as modem.
If you are not experienced with Bluetooth, you might play around a little bit.
- I first paired the devices in the settings (so that they were just paired, which you hardly will notice)
- Then you can start "Bt Dun" and click on connect. Your phone now should show some difference (like flashing Bluetooth symbol, and trying to establish an 3G/GPRS connection)
- Maybe you have to turn off WiFi and few apps might think you don't have any connection. However, Internet browser, Mail and other apps just worked normal and had Internet connection.
So this was far easier for me than getting Ad Hoc to work with Android. Also it will save battery on the phone.
Unfortunately due to this bug, all apps who check if there is an internet connection won't work.

Bluetooth internet tethering from iphone to android car

Tried posting this question to MTCD-discussion folder but the system didn't let me (moderators please move it there if you consider)
Has anybody managed to get the internet on the android auto (in my case a MTCD) through bluetooth tether (maybe with an app?) Reason why I want to do this, is because I want it to happen automatically, but iOS (as my phone is Iphone) is broadcasting the personal hotspot SSID only for a limited time. This means every time I get in the car I have to stop and restart personal hotspot.
On my Joying MTCD-device there is no option in the WIFI-menu of "connect to network even if SSID not broadcasted", and no option in the bluetooth menu for bluetooth tethering.
Thanks in advance,
Mike
Tethering over Bluetooth is not possible with these units as far as I know.
But try the following:
1. From the iPhone turn your Personal Hotspot off.
2. From your car's Android find your iPhone's hotspot and make it forget it.
3. Now go to the bottom of the list, choose "Add Network" and type your iPhone's SSID and passcode manually.
4. Hit Connect and turn on your Personal Hotspot.
Now the car unit thinks that this is a hotspot with a hidden SSID, so it will not look for a broadcast.

Hi! Tried this, doesn't work! It still connects only after i turn the hotspot on (when ssid is broadcasted)...
Yes, I just tried this with my iPhone 6 Plus running iOS 9.3.3. It looks like iPhone's Personal Hotspot doens't just stop broadcasting the SSID after a while. It turns off the hotspot completely! I tried to connect to it with my PC the way I would connect to a hidden network - no luck either. So there is nothing that can be done, because the problem is the iPhone.
The approach I described above works for hidden networks, but obviously it cannot work for non-exiting ones.

Thanks for your reply, CVT! Must be this problem, indeed. I assumed that it is still on, as actually the togglebutton is still on, but it seems I was wrong.
HTC One M7 CM13.0 (no sim/data) running Android Auto, connected to Honda Accord 2016 all times - soon as car starts android auto starts, using Bluetooth Tether Manager app to auto connect to Iphone hotspot
Iphone 6S IOS10 Beta3 (data) bluetooth hotspot.
Car starts, turns on bluetooth on android phone, android auto starts, then tether app connects to my iphones bluetooth tether.
The bluetooth tether manager app says not connected, but the bluetooth in the menu shows connected to my iphone.
I think this is what you are trying to do as well. If you can bluetooth tether to your iphone, this might work with your unit.
Does simply plugging an iPhone into one of the usbs for tethering Work?.
It does not

Android Monitors with built in RJ45 hardwired connection.

Hey everyone, long time reader, first time question.
I am dealing with a 23in. android monitor, really its just a large tablet with a visa mount and desktop base.
Android version 6.0.1 Kernel version 3.10.0 Perfect display out of China is the supposed manufacture, their model number is IP240WE.
I am attempting to hard wire an IP camera direct to the rj45 port much the same way I can to any pc, assign some quick ip info and achieve a live view from the camera utilizing pc software, but in this case, use the mobile software.
The trouble I am running into is that when the "monitor" is not connected to any modem or router, the darn thing wont give any network info to base my camera addressing off of. I can enable the wifi connection, then use the ipconfig tool and see all sorts of network info, still wont allow a direct connection to the camera using the hard wire rj45 port. As I understand things, android devices are new to getting the hardwired capability, that's all fine and stuff, but how the heck to turn on the darn rj45 nic without connecting it to a managed network device???
The long and the short of this, I am asking this tablet, er, monitor.... to act like a pc when it is not connected to a managed network and have the nic active and assigning info, even if is just an ip and subnet mask. Networking things is not the issue, turning on the freaking nic is!!!!

Android Auto in Norway

I have big time trouble connecting my A12 Android Auto to my brand new BMW iX3. My Oneplus Nord connects flawlessly, the A12 does not. On Samsungs website I read that Norway is not among the countries allowing Android Auto (https://www.samsung.com/ie/support/...fficulty-connecting-to-or-using-android-auto/), could that the reason?
I cannot believe that.
I live in the Netherlands and we are also not in the list and we can use AA without any problem, but, your phone AND carsystem will have to connect with each other.
It sounds more that your A12 does not have the right software for it.
Go to apkmirror site and download the AA software and install on your phone.
I have downloaded the latest version from Google Play, isn't that version as good as the apkmirror-versions? My A12 connects OK with the car when it comes to hand free phone operations over Bluetooth, but when trying to establish AA, the car says "The connection failed. Check both the Bluetooth and WLAN settings on the mobile unit". Both BT and WLAN are active on the phone, and during the process an AA logo splashes on the mobile screen.
Edit: I have downloaded and installed Android Auto 6.8.613323 which I suppose is the lastest release. Same result
Ah, now i get it.
I had a Nokia 7plus and my radio-unit worked, This summer i switched to a new Nokia X20 phone, and had the same error.
After switching the car-cable with the cable that came with the new Nokia, it suddenly worked.
So try to use the cable that came with the new phone, instead of the old cable from the previous phone.
Thanx for the tip, elot01! I switched the cable to the one that came along the A12, but nothing happens when connected to the car USB except from battery charging and the option to transfer files. I am in contact with Samsung support, and so far they have been helpful. But they have not been able to solve my problem yet.
Once they have, I will post the solution here. But any tip for the forum community is highly welcome.
Samsung has given up and redirected med to Google since "this is a 3rd party SW". I haven't managed to find any Google support center to contact, but I have figured out the problem myself.
I want to have a wireless AA, and it seems like this is only supprted with handsets capable of dual band wifi, ie. 2.4 and 5GHz. The Samsung Galaxy A12 only support single band (2.4GHz).
So there goes my A12 back in its box to be placed in some drawer and forgotten. A low-priced telephone, but still a waste of money
A tip to Google/Samsung: Why not display a message saying "Android Auto is only supported on dual band wifi mobiles" when only 2.4GHz is supported?
If you want wireless, also take a look at Carsifi (still in Kickstarter) or AAWireless (former kickstarter).
Then you don't need a new phone

If you want a dongle slamming aroud in you car occupying one USB-port this solution is probably OK. But it's much easier to spend the 85$ extra on a mobile with dual-band wifi.
