Videoplayback stops after one frame in Chrome. - OnePlus 3T Questions & Answers

Hi.
For some time i´m unable to watch videos with Chrome. It doesn´t matter if it´s a youtube or another vidoe. The video buffer but chrome plays always only on frame, everytime i press play. Sometimes when i open a new youtube video and i dont touch anything then the video plays until i touch the video to aktivate the sound. White FireFox everything is fine.
My device is a OnePlus 3T with LineageOS 15.1 - nightliy. I encountered the problem since an updete in 14.1. The firmware is the newes 5.03. (from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3t/how-to/firmware-beta-10-t3631166). I reinstalled chrome, clear the app- and the dalvik-cache.
Anyone can help me?

Try to do a clean flash and see if the problem is still there.

That works! Thank you

[Q] Embed YouTube video lag

Hi,
I've recently bought a Galaxy Tab. It's an euro/international model, completely new. I downloaded Flash, and checked functionality. There's a quite big issue with embed YouTube videos - they lag, a lot. Sound is normal, but video is really laggy. Although I noticed that when I touch the screen and keep my finger there, it displays video normally, as soon as I release it, it starts lagging again.
The tab is now rooted, running the newest overcome, but the issue showed up on the stock gingerbread and on overcome as well. I've tried playback on default browser and on Dolphin HD on all ROMs, and ran the One Click Lag Fix as well, nothing helped. The YouTube app works fine though, it's only the embed videos.
I'd really appreciate any help with the issue - I've searched a lot but found nothing on this.

I have the exact same problem. I have tried everything as you and the problem continues. I have even disabled my add blocker as suggested on some online articles but nothing. The only thing I haven't tried yet is factory reset. It seems that a lot of people are facing this and for some the simple solutions have worked. Has anybody solved this once and for all?
PS. My lenovo tab 2 a7-30 runs lollipop and is not rooted.
try removing your google account and then reboot then .. adding again google account.

Some videos don't play

Hi,

This happens in an xperia z3c D5803 lollipop 23.1.A.1.28 with xpoded.
Can anyone help me figure out whats the problem and how to fix it. It's a little bit anoying to wait to get in the pc to see some videos.
PS: Already tried to disable all xposed modules and the problem still there.

See if it helps to disable "Use NuPlayer (exp.)" in developer options, I noticed it's enabled by default in Lollipop but since it's experimental, maybe it can cause issues?
i have that option disabled. just enabled and the videos in the cinema app just are working fine. the ones in the FB browser and Chrome still stops. (i just figured that in Chrome if i ask the pc page, the videos work fine).
You could try UC Browser, in my experience it has the widest support for webvideos and the player it uses is quite advanced, too.
I know that I have alternatives. I am just trying to figure out what is the problem to try to solve it. Cause in other phones I don't face this problem

Firefox laggy media playback ?

Both video and audio stutter when playing media video. Tried on Youtube and Pornhub.
However this didn't happen before yesterday when i tried to play flash content http://www.ddsahyadri.in/liveTv.php. This happeed after this incident or maybe i never noticed this lag as i hardly use HP to stream video.
I tried to fix this, Disabled all addons( ublock origin, privacy badger,Https everywhere, Dark bg &Light text) and tried playback again, nothing changed. Video was still laggy.
I've reinstalled Firefox with no addons installed , still stuttering is present.
Anyone else have this issue ?
Have you tried to clear app data and try again?

Yes, yes i did.
So you don't have a choppy video playback on Firefox ?
No. But I don't use add-ons on mobile Firefox so I wouldn't know. Someone said that when under 20% phone becomes slower, maybe that's the deal? Also, did you restart your phone soon?

I have choppy playback everywhere on my Honor Play COR-TL10, ON YouTube, chrome and Instagram as well. It sucks
Hope EMUI 9 fixes it soon. Or we get a custom rom with good graces of developers

The battery was at around 80 percent.
At first i uninstalled FF then rebooted my device after which did a fresh install of FF with no extra addons.
The problem still persisted.
Seeing that nothing worked i thought the theme was maybe causing the issue so i removed the EMUI dark theme did a restart. Installed of FF performed a hard boot. And so after 3-4 reboots the videoplayback on Firefox is not choppy now : )

Red Magic 3 screen flicker/issue on specific scene (youtube)

Hi All,
I have used my red magic 3 phone for about 9 months. Since then I have watched youtube videos, netflix, other torrent videos and mostly playing pubg mobile every night and I never come across to this experience (screen flicker).
This screen flicker only happens to one of the scene in youtube.
I am asking you guys, owner of red magic 3 to test this for me too, I am afraid this issue only happen to my screen and not yours. My phone is on Global ROM V2.18.
Here is part 1 and part 2 of my screen issue, some explanation is provided on the video description:
Part 1
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Emt9-pcNAlA
Part 2
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JaiHSd2qqnQ
How to test this:
1. Watch the original youtube video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7sQCmgCmN7U
2. Fast forward between 0:14 - 0:19
3. The flicker only happens at scene 0:16 - 0:18
Please let me know if this issue/flicker also happen on your phone too.
Any feedback is very much appreciated, thank you.
UPDATE FOR A FIX WORKING SOLUTION:
Do not use Youtube App but use Youtube Vanced instead, now any videos that previously has that screen glitch/flickering issue on Youtube, is gone while watching with Youtube Vanced.
Hi, has anyone faced this issue too ?
I have tried to Factory Reset my phone and the problem still persist. But if I download the video from youtube and copy to internal storage and play the video using local player or MX Player, the issue does not happen, kinda weird though.
This issue only happens with Youtube App, m.youtube but not with Netflix app and local video playback (MX Player)
It persists no matter what you do i have same issue

but how do I set the screen refresh rate to 60Hz ?
default refresh rate is 90Hz on home screen, only in game space I can set which app to 90 or 60.
do you have that same issue too ? (my first post youtube link)
Go to settings >display >refresh rate.
This option is only available in cn rom

I see. Alright I will note this for future reference.
In the meantime, I have just found the solution for the Youtube App glitch/flickering, which is to use Youtube Vanced instead.
You tube vance will cause flicker soon as i never used the official version of you tube
