Read the whole OP! Be respectful to each other and don't ask for ETAs, it's considered as being rude!
AOSP Extended is an AOSP based ROM which provides stock UI/UX with various customisations features along with the Substratum theme engine. The project has been made by cherry-picking various commits from various other projects. Being based on AOSP it provides a smooth and lag-free experience out of the box. We will constantly try to add more features and make it even better in future updates. A ROM by a user, for a user. #StayAOSP #ExtendYourDevice #BeExtended
#ExtendYourDevice Here are the Extensions! on top of AOSP! We are constantly trying to update the list. Our aim is not to provide all the features available on earth. We are not thinking of cherry-picking every feature out there. Our aim is to add important features that we think should be here and also what you think. For addition of more tweaks or features, head on to our G+ community and post the list of features that you want! Features with commits will be more helpful!

I guess there is nothing wrong in reading facts!
-Base Of the ROM & Version?
->Rom is based on AOSP.
-Why no "Incremental updates" Support?
->Actually the updates we provide monthly are heavily changed and modified than the previous builds. New stuff are merged and added. So we don't provide incremental updates and recommend clean flash.
-Does this ROM Support Substratum/CMTE?
->Yes, full Substratum support!
-Which Gapps are recommended?
->OpenGapps
-Will this ROM relock the bootloader?
->No.
-What about XPOSED?
->XPOSED is still in beta stage. We like Xposed but it messes up with the system so before giving any bug reports make sure you have xposed uninstalled.
-When Will Be the Next Update?
->No ETAs please. ROM Will be updated whenever the new build is ready. We generally provide monthly updates with latest security patches and new features.

So please click on over there and hit that thanks button for the guy.........
Could you make one for H870 as well? Does it have long press volume buttons for previous/next when screen is off?
And how's battery life? Magisk support?
Hi,will you build one for h870 as well,not asking for eta or anything just being curious and i have no problem testing it if you build it
AWESOME, I will test it tonight on my US997
Thanks for the new ROM for US997. Installed last night and everything seemed to be running smooth.
When my alarm went off this morning phone was unresponsive. I don't know if this is a deep sleep issue or something else, but the alarm was going off of but D2W or the power button wouldn't turn the screen on. Had to hard restart the phone with power and volume down.
Beyond this issue, the only other issue I've noticed is a long delay between fingerprint sensor being used and the screen coming on. When I say long, mean it takes multiple seconds.

Yeah a log was my first thought. I need to reinstall my old log program. Since I had to reboot the current log program I have doesn't take kernel logs or previous logs before a reboot. Figured whatever I would produce wouldn't have the data we need to diagnose.
I'll see if I can reproduce today. Also, I should note the phone was plugged into the charger as well.

I will be gone for the next 2 or 3 days. So I wont be able to do anything..
Also please remember, AEX is not my ROM..
PureFusionOS is my rom.. and I need to work on that to get it updated.. over 40 devices were using PF at one time.......
and I am only using AEX, because its the next closes thing to PF temp till I get PF updated..........
I am also a Kernel dev, and im working on a New Kernel for the G6 as well.. and that takes time too..

Busy man here's a log for you. Turns out not necessarily an alarm issue but a screen turning on issue. Just pulled my phone out of my pocket (it has been idle for about 40 to 50 minutes) used the fingerprint sensor. It vibrated but screen did not turn on. Volume rockers were responsive and could hear volume going up and down. D2W didn't work. Had to hard restart again.
Completely understand your time issue. Hope this will eventually help you sort this bug out. Thanks for your hard work on multiple levels my friend!!

Look forward to build with H870.
So far so good on the US997, smoother experience in basic operations vs. LOS. Looks like all the normal custom ROM bugs - no MTP on ADB, etc. Going to put it through BT testing once I get to the office today and see how it operates...my guess is this will all be an identical experience to LOS based ROM's (though again, this seems smoother).
Thanks for getting this out there @Eliminater74 ...so far made a one year old model w/a two year old cpu feel like a current model. If this other ROM you like more than this one is coming, then looking forward to that release.
Now Supported:H870 / H872 / US997
Take Note: I only have a H872, Others are untested by me, and done by Request from others of that device.........
I will no be gone for 2 days.........

Have you found any issues with screen waking up after deep sleep on US997? I had it happen 3 times to me before I restored my AquariOS backup for the time being.
Can any of you who have installed this confirm if Safety Net passes with Magisk installed? I'd love to use this but I need my Google Pay
What's the snapchat camera like? Is it like stock or is it crap like on LineageOS and RR?

I'm using Google pay just fine. However I always install magisk hide props config module on every rom because some of them break safetynet.

Tampoco me funciona la cámara con ninguna app!
@Allstargaurav thank you for bringing this ROM to our old Moto G. It is stable for a daily use, I have not found any major bug (except the camera not working, but I don't take pictures with that phone). The only small thing I have noticed after 2 days is that a flashlight cannot be activated from the quick settings tile.
I have also a question regarding the additional navbar soft buttons that can be activated from extensions - where can I get the numeric codes of functions that can be assigned to the buttons?
I look forward to the next release with more goodies on board
Edit: none of the external app can activate the flashlight so it is apparently related with broken camera
I found three bugs and needless to say the camera doens't work (Cameringo included).
1. Torch Icon doesn't work.
2. App info for Via is laggy and very unresponsive.
3. Security and Encryption says my phone is encrypted even though it isn't and encryption doesn't work. It just reboots.
4. Cameringo doesn't work along with other camera apps.
But I'm okay with the flaws. I can live with them. Thanks for proloning the life of my Android anyways!
I took pictures but can't post them.. Ehh...

Just to double-check, and because I admit that I cannot believe this, as the camera is always broken on new OS builds, does video recording work on this ROM on the STOCK CAMERA?
UPDATE: Video recording, or rather, attempts to record video, will result in the camera no longer working until the next boot, and it will freeze whatever app is used to record video. Also, advanced reboot options do not work at all, as it gets stuck on "rebooting to <insert mode here>".
I gave it a go, but the sim card wasn't recognised and I couldn't connect to a wifi network although the password was correct.
If anyone has any suggestions, would be greatly appreciated.
Hey Developers can you add EAP-SIM protocol over Wifi like in stock rom please
Thank you for bringing Android Oreo on my device, you've given it a new life!
Anyway I can not run the root properly with SuperSu 2.82. When a root permission is obtained, the device screen becomes black and you need restart the device.
Can somebody give me some hint?

Yes, Magisk works, and it is better than SuperSU, but that said, have you fixed the camera bugs yet, whereby the camera freezes once you try to record video?

I guess there is nothing wrong in reading facts!
-Base Of the ROM & Version?
->Rom is based on AOSP.
-Why no "Incremental updates" Support?
->Actually the updates we provide monthly are heavily changed and modified than the previous builds. New stuff are merged and added. So we don't provide incremental updates and recommend clean flash.
-Does this ROM Support Substratum/CMTE?
->Yes, full Substratum support!
-Which Gapps are recommended?
->OpenGapps
-Will this ROM relock the bootloader?
->No.
-I am facing FCs, Bugs, Some feature is broken?
->Provide full info about your problem with logcats and the procedure to reproduce it.

Rom review
Flashed, Up and running.
Here's a quick review:
Great Performance
Butter Smooth UI
Vast Customization possibility, not available in any other ROM's for sailfish.
Everything (Audio, Camera, Bluetooth, WiFi, Vibration, GPS, RIL, Radio) works as it should.
Only 'In Call Audio is broken', Changing SELinux to Permissive solves the issues.
Thanks for building, for us sailors.
UPDATE!!
Device Specific Changes: Kernel upstreamed to 3.18.113

Same here. Can live with permissive, though. This is nice so far. If battery holds up, I may have a new daily driver.
EDIT: I will say that I did have some minor issues with flashing Gapps. The stock gapps package was too large, according to TWRP. I ended up having to use a smaller package, which had some issues initially with Project Fi. But I was able to work those out by manually granting permissions to the apps needed.
Two wipes and clean flashes of rom, Data Transfer Tool FC so can't restore from Google account.

Try selinux permissive
So thanks for the great rom first off! However could I request that there be an apn adjustment. Change the apn protocol from ipv4 to ipv4/ipv6 please? Also selinux permissive my default? Thank you and keep up the good work.

Few bugs, play store keeps stuffing up and data transfer store didn't work. I couldn't hear anything when calling someone or when someone calls me I couldn't hear them. Tried reflashing it several times to get it working, fixed the playstore but not call in audio, also tried to reset back to default. Didn't work still I gave up and went back to firehound ROM which now works perfectly for me.

I guess there is nothing wrong in reading facts!
-Base Of the ROM & Version?
->Rom is based on AOSP.
-Why no "Incremental updates" Support?
->Actually the updates we provide monthly are heavily changed and modified than the previous builds. New stuff are merged and added. So we don't provide incremental updates and recommend clean flash.
-Does this ROM Support Substratum/CMTE?
->Yes, full Substratum support!
-Which Gapps are recommended?
->OpenGapps
-Will this ROM relock the bootloader?
->No.

For addition of more tweaks or features, head on to our G+ community and post the list of features that you want! Features with commits will be more helpful!

AospExtended, ROM for the T-Mobile LG G6
Contributors

Source Code: https://github.com/AospExtended
ROM OS Version: 8.x Oreo
ROM Kernel: Linux 3.x
Based On: AOSP
Version Information
Status: Beta
Created 2018-06-08
Last Updated 2018-06-12
This ROM Build was really so that I can get a feel of the G6, I recently bought the G6 H872, because it got root,
I refuse to get the G7 till I know it can be rooted or not, anyhow I came back from the HTC10, to give LG another go around.
I have built 2 roms already, RR and AEX, but only posted AEX on here......
Note About PureFusionOS: @tabp0le and I are the Founders of PureFusionOS, That ROM had over 14k installs, and used across many devices,
even spotted a MediaTek device once using it, (I have no clue how) We haven't updated that ROM since 8.0, we ran into many family issues that needed
to be taken care of before we do.. We will be diving back into it soon.....
It was listed as one of the TOP Fasted Smoothest ROMS available.. I create my own ToolChains from Scratch and my own Clang.......
I am a kernel Dev, But I have yet to really dive into that on the G6 yet.. but I do have plans.......... I push For performance..
when it comes to kernel Deving, I know that extremely well....... If you want more Info on PureFusionOS, check out my SIG, and join our Telegram Group Chat...
We also have our own Gerrit and webiste as well as Forums............... We are on G+ also............ All our hosting is done by Spry Servers, which the other Founder
of PureFusionOS owns him self.........
I like this G6 and Dont plan on leaving anytime soon, But I promise I will do what I can to make a great Custom ROM and Kernel for this Device...............
Will take time....
In the meantime, please injoy this Great ROM AEX,
Excited
Was sooo excited when I saw this in the forum.
Backed up and Installed with minor issues
Work great is smooth an so far battery life is great
The camera app doesn't utilize the wide angle second cam?
Will definitely be using as my daily driver
Thanks a lot

To Be honest, My Default Camera wont work, it opens but black screen.. I havent had time to look into that....
but useing any 3rd party Camera App works perfet......... So that is why I havent giving it much thought yet..
I do know Bluetooth is working great for me........
I tried out like 4 roms, the first 3 ROMS, were LOS based, all had more issues then a crazy person.
AEX being the first AOSP based that I tried, Seems to fit me the best.. its now my daily on the G6 till I get PF updated..........
You are making me wanna try rooting my device before even oreo come out XDD, also can you make a performance rom too or is too much to ask 0_0

Performance ROM? That is what PureFusionOS is, its one of the fastest smoothest roms you will find..... I tweaked the hell out of that ROM from top 2 bottom.......
We created that ROM from scratch.. pure AOSP and only 10% caf that was needed for OEM devices.............
we are going to be updating it soon to 8.1.. just family issues caused us to get behind...............
as I said before, I even create my own Toolchains and Clang........... Most of the Performance in PF is from the Chains I create.. I have somewhat mastered the chains with the correct flags and settings........
PS: I didnt use any of my chains on AEX, I cant.. cause AEX isnt designed to use higher profile chains, unlike PF is.............
You're not have wifi issues?
It's tempting to try this Rom on my rooted T-Mobile G6.
Please how stable is this Rom, knowing it's the first official T-Mobile Rom H872

1: I use opengapps cause the LOS gapps didnt do it for me. and all works good..
2: WIFI connects and works great for me, But, if your coming from STOCK and you are rooted,
Chances are you didnt flash your misc partition correctly and that is why wifi wont work..
I had the same issue, I hope you kept the backup of your misc partition, cause you will have to reflash that again..
if you lost your backup, then you will have to hex edit one.. that is where all your WIFI and crap is located..
It works on STOCK without the misc partition because stock just knows.. but to use any custom roms, you will have
to fix that issue............... Many have had the same problem.............. FIX by reflashing your misc partition and make sure md5 matches..
I know this rom was built specifically for the H872, but I was curious if it would be compatible with US997? If not, any chance of building a version for the US997? No harm in asking right, lol.

I guess there is nothing wrong in reading facts!
-Base Of the ROM & Version?
->Rom is based on AOSP. Verison is updated monthly.
-Why no "Incremental/Delta updates" Support?
->Actually the updates we provide monthly are heavily changed and modified than the previous builds. New stuff is merged and added. So we don't provide incremental updates and recommend a clean flash.
-Does this ROM Support Substratum?
->Google killed Substratum support in Pie. You can use it, however, you need to be rooted. We don't support rootless Substratum.
-Which Gapps are recommended?
->OpenGapps
-How do I root this ROM?
->We recommend Magisk
-Will this ROM relock the bootloader?
->No.
-What about XPOSED?
->XPOSED is still in beta stage. We like Xposed but it messes up with the system so before giving any bug reports make sure you have Xposed uninstalled.
-When Will Be the Next Update?
->No ETAs, please. ROM Will be updated whenever the new build is ready by your maintainer. We generally provide monthly updates with latest security patches and new features.
-I am facing FCs, Bugs, Some feature is broken?
->Provide full info about your problem with logcat and the procedure to reproduce it.

Big thanks to @ananjaser1211, this would not be possible without his fabulous work on the exynos5433 chipset. His device tree and kernel source is here: https://github.com/Exynos5433
Current known issues:
Capacitive buttons work fine but sometimes don't light up.
Fingerprint sensor dies after tablet enters deep sleep.
T715 this is by far most feature rich and stable 9.0 ROM. Great work you guys!
T815
Same as other ones, GPS does not work and I'm using my tablet as a car mount!

Thanks for letting me know. I had no idea GPS wasn't working, as my T815 is connected to WiFi it was using network based location so I thought it was working. I'm working on the issue, haven't fixed it yet but as a side effect I managed to fix offline charging (when the tablet is off and you plug it on to charge) so that fix should trickle across to the other Pie ROMs floating about :good:
Great work. Nice and responsive on my t710 and the customizations make this my ideal rom over lineage.
What can be done about the fingerprint sensor not working after deep sleep?
New builds uploaded with offline charger fix. Still working on fixing GPS
Got GPS to work on my T815, the WiFi variants use a slightly different GPS service but hopefully it works on those models too. New builds will be uploaded tomorrow.
Is there any fix for the fingerprint issue?

Once the tablet goes into deep sleep, the fingerprint sensor driver dies. Currently the only way to stop this is to prevent the tablet from going into deep sleep. Of course this drastically cuts down on battery life. This was also an issue on Oreo builds, and because the FP sensor driver is closed source, and Samsung hasn't bothered to update the Tab past Nougat, it's unlikely this will ever be fixed properly.
New builds are being uploaded now. T810 and T815 are already up, T710 and T715 will be up shortly.

GPS should be fixed, tested and working on my T815. See attached pic.
Offline charging animation now has correct orientation.
Some fixes and tweaks to RAM management.
EDIT: Android File Host is being a pain and is deleting my uploads, @tripLr has built the ROM with my device tree on his server and has kindly offered his gdrive to host the builds. tiny.cc/triplr

GPS is working on my t710. Woot!
Would it make sense to remove the fingerprint driver all together? Background processes crashing and launching contribute to battery loss.
I can confirm that GPS is working. Great job! You revived my tab!
I understand the argument for the fingerprint sensor but is it at least possible to wake up the tab by pressing the home button (without unlocking it using the finger print sensor)? I have to reach the power button each time to wake up the screen which is annoying, especially considering its position!

Maybe so, but as current tab s2 development is a collaborative effort between a group of different devs it would affect other peoples work. Who knows, maybe someone that understands arm assembly language might join the dev team and disassemble the FP driver :laugh:
Haha. Didn't know there's a setting for that! Thank you. This Rom is awesome.
Appreciate the support.

T710 stuck in boot after install
Hi,
First of all, a HUGE thank you for this project. I've been waiting for a long time to get an update for my T710, so this is much appreciated.
I managed to install the latest ROM (20191016) for my T710 and Gapps (via Twrp), but my tablet has been stuck at boot (displays the google jumping balls animation, and the buttons flash every once in while) since. I am not able to switch it off or get it into the recovery or download mode. What did I do wrong?
Thanks
Stuck at boot
I had the same problem. For me it helped to remove the 2 check marks in TWRP after the installation.
