Hi everybody,
Today i updated my Motorola Moto x 2014 to the newest version of Lineageos (14.1-20180610). After the update my phone went into a bootloop. I left it on and after an hour and a half it is still in the loop. The phone is still warm so i think it is still doing something. I waited for about 10 minutes and it was still loading. After that i forced a shutdown on my phone and went to recovery to wipe the darik and cache. After this my phone still didn't boot. I updated the phone serveral times and this keeps happening! So i can start from scratch and i have to recover my 2FA codes manually. I get really ennoyed of this. I went for Lineageos because Motorola doesn't update this device anymore, but Lineageos still brings out updates . But the os is frankly worthless if it keeps crashing and i can start from scratch. Don't get me wrong i love Lineageos and i appreciate the hard efford that people put into the project but i can't work like this. So my question is Can anyone answer the question why the update process doesn't work?
Thank you.

Ok so yesterday I had a lockup and the phone would not reboot. I kept trying to get it to turn on with consisted of powering up the phone getting lockedup/stuck on the motorola M logo for many min's then would pull the battery and try again. After about 8 try's it booted up and worked..
Then last night locked-up again and now it will not get past the M.. I tryed a hold x with power and wipe data and foctory reset. it seems to work but does say e:can't open /cache/recovery/command and then says abunch of stuff looks like it's working. BUT still will not load past the M logo
Is my phone dead is there a way to recover from this ? can I just load a NEW OS somehow ?
Already talked to verizon and there going to send me a new phone but will not be getting it till monday or tuesday and I really need a working phone for the weekend..
HELP !
That sounds like a hardware or firmware issue. Unfortunately, you need to just wait for your new phone. You don't want to risk loading an SBF file onto your Droid while it isn't functioning correctly. Even if you are successful - it more than likely will not fix your issue.
Hate to say it, but... just wait it out.

So here's my story: my phone was JellyBean. I didn't tinker with it, didn't root, just used some launchers. It upgraded to KitKat. I kept using it, even though I liked JellyBean better. Then one month ago it froze and stopped responding even to physical buttons. I managed to restart it, but it wouldn't go past the intel logo. Somehow I got it to go past it and give me like two seconds on before it would freeze and become unresponsive again, so I got to enter safe mode (all following instructions on the internet, which buttons to hold to manage to get into safe mode). Once in safe mode, I deleted every app that had been recently updated or installed, one at a time, trying to turn my phone on each time, until I finally deleted facebook (that enourmous blue monstrosity taking all that internal space), and the phone seemed normal. I re-installed the other apps I had uninstalled, then one day later, it froze again. Now it wouldn't go past the intel logo. Only then I gave up and used RSDLite to re-install the firmware - BUT! The firmware I managed to find was JB, but I had been wanting to downgrade for some time, anyway, so I unlocked the bootloader and flashed JellyBean. And it worked. I was proud. Then one month later, today, it froze again. I can do the same procedure, and lose all my data again, but I fear the problem will remain unsolved and it will freeze/crash/explode one month from now. Can someone help me figure out what my problem is, or give an alternate solution to try?
TL;DR:
my razr i was stuck on the intel logo screen, I unlocked the bootloader and flashed JB, it worked, one month later it is now stuck on the WARNING BOOTLOADER UNLOCKED screen. Please help thank you.
I have a stock AT&T G6, got it when the phone first came out, and I haven't touched the firmware. Update after update, no problems.
Finally this morning my phone had enough - I performed a system update. However during the reboot, the phone froze for 30 minutes on the AT&T logo. Nothing changed.
Reset phone, nothing changed, 15 minutes no change. Reset phone to recovery mode - wipe cache - reset phone. Same thing - stuck at AT&T logo.
Finally I had enough - I did a full Factory reset. AT LAST! After 8 painful minutes stuck at the AT&T logo, my phone came to life and welcomed me to my new phone (FML).
So here I am with a freshly loaded copy of my new Nougat 7.0 software on my AT&T Build ( NRD90M.G920AUCS6EQF1 ) and I am desperately trying to run every possible data recovery option possible.
I WANT to recover my photos and SMS messages before I start using my phone. But I can't - every app I've run shows no results. Everything I'm seeing shows I need to root this phone to make it work.
Unfortunately I have no clue htf to do that. Every instruction I find online does not include my build version. My phone is turned off and not used until I recover this data. I would appreciate any help I can get in recovering this data!

No known root for current builds to my knowledge. Don't know if anyone is still picking away at it, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Development on this device has been almost silent for many months.

Hello.
I have a Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910T2. In january of this year i upgraded it to 6.0.1 (N910TUVU2EQI2) from 4.4.4(N910T2UVU2AOG1) using the SM-N910T firmware for the upgrade, everything was working perfectly but the day before yesterday i wanted to perform a wipe cache because the phone was being a bit laggy. after the wipe cache was perform and i hit the reboot, the recovery got stucked on Verifying DMhash tree. so after 30 minutes i took the battery out and powered on my phone, the problem is: The phone started to freeze, reset it self even the process system crashed. I read that downloading the Wake Lock power management helps and it did but i didn't want to use this app forever so i downgraded back to 4.4.4 it's original firmware, it does run better but now my phone reboots itself and it freezes just a little bit. Also i've got the Process system is not responding do you want to close it?
Things i've done so far:
1- Reflashed 4.4.4, 3 times, i've done wipes before reflashing and after. Nothing
2-Flashed TWRP wiped everything, repaired the file system, Flashed the stock again (4.4.4) nothing.
I'm not going back to 6.0.1.
Do i have to buy a new phone or maybe a new rom with a kernel will help ?

All i can say is your phone mmc chip is about to die soon or later you will get mmc_read failure message and your phone wont be able to boot into the system and you won'tbe able to flash anything.
My best suggestion is sell it ASAP.

I came across the mmc_read failure before I realized it was happening and have been researching ways to at least verify there was nothing important on the device before retiring it to Samsung heaven.
Instead of useful advice, everyone seems to be spouting "sell it ASAP" as though it doesn't make you trash as a person to attempt selling it as any sort of working device. The inclusion of "ASAP" and lack of "with a disclaimer" tends to suggest they aren't recommending you actually tell anyone about the issue.
Good advice would be to back up everything you can now and begin looking for a new device. You could attempt to sell it for parts, but make sure to inform people of the situation. If it is that close to failure, chances are it will still be well within the 30 day return policy on most sites and they always favor the buyer. Your device is already ruined, but there is no reason to destroy your reputation with it.
Hey everyone, I recently purchased a Moto e5 plus and saw there is an update available (check attachments). But strangely enough, after the phone reboots and enters the phase to update itself, around the 25% or so mark, it makes a sudden jump in progress and then fails to continue, stopping the process.
I do have a stock rom, recovery and boot sector. Only custom thing being is that the device has an unlocked bootloader.
I'm wondering if any of you have had a similar experience or if it's just me. And maybe if you have heard of any way to fix it.
I'm all ears.
Looks like the second picture didn't upload correctly? Odd.
Here is it again:
Never mind, somehow the device managed to update itself. Only difference I can remember was that this time the phone didn't have a pattern look on boot. Not sure if it made any difference. At least I'm running the latest version now.
