It will most certainly hit Chinese versions first.
Honor View 10 has a chinese fw up on hwmt today with Turbo.
Any benchmarks?
Did anyone already receive the update yet?
https://www.gsmarena.com/huawei_rev...chedule_for_its_gpu_turbo_tech-news-31957.php
New articles suggests it will be available for 10 & 10Pro in August.
I wont hold my breath though, since Huawei has been pretty disappointing with slow updates and broken promises already.
Chinese version got it on ff(not approved yet) so i guess it will come to eu by August

Hey guys, I just ordered a Huawei P20 Pro and I was kind of worried about the lack of stabilization in 4K video recording. I was just wondering if Huawei has mentioned bringing stabilization in an update at some point in the future? I know OnePlus was able to do it with the OnePlus 5, so I really don't see why Huawei wouldn't be able to do it as well.

They made some improvement in camera section in few recent updates. Slow mo feature is at least as good as S9 now. It can auto detect object movement and start the slow mo. Pro mode has got some improvements as well. More variables are available now, like ISO 102K (previously only up to 3200, then updated to become 6400, and now at full capability)
I think we will eventually see the stabilisation in few more updates. Just cross the finger and hope that kirin 970 is capable enough.
They just released the GPU boost for Mate 10 btw, cant wait for it to arrive in P20. Or maybe, ported. :silly:
Huawei Releases EMUI 8.1 Update for Mate 10 & Mate 10 Pro, Big Upgrades to Camera
Ttoday Huawei has officially started EMUI 8.1.0.321 update for the Mate 10/Mate 10 Pro device. It is also reported that the Mate 10 will get GPU Turbo Technology probably by next month.
The new EMUI 8.1 system update will bring new features to the Mate 10 series smartphone like 960fps super slow motion videos capability, AI photography master, 3D portrait light effect, smart gallery and many other practical features. The AI photography will increases the number of scene recognition modes from 13 categories to 19 categories and total scene/o recognition to over 500, through this update the cameras of Mate 10 series smartphone can now identify more scenes and objects. The users of the Mate 10 can update EMUI 8.1 by heading to the Huawei Club app and register as an early adopter under Member Services, the update will then be pushed out to your device when registration is done.
Recall last October, Huawei has launched the Mate 10 series smartphone in China, at that time it was running on EMUI 8.0 system based on Android 8.0 . In March this year, Huawei added face recognition to the Mate 10 series through an update and in May these smartphones received another update that brings super night scene mode to make its night shooting ability significantly better. In June, Huawei’s Mate 10 series was the first to implement the GPU Turbo technology upgrade which improves its graphics computing efficiency by 60% and reduced the power consumption by 30%.

Same model as you and the only updates I got since buying the Mate 10 (secondhand and only a few days ago) are face unlock and a security patch. I have night shot mode but I doubt it's the one you're talking about.

You can't. Probably a reason why no one can find it in the app gallery or play store. I guess it's a Chinese app for the Chinese ROM. And only Chinese can get the beta/testing

Lol, i don't think you would like to have that Chinese firmware, full of fishy bloatware on your device.
But learning cinese is not a bad thing, i must admit! ?
Will I be able to OTA upgrade to this update if I un-root my device?
Thanks! -t
Hey, is there anyone who has got this new update?????
The article I read said it was seen in Germany. We'll probably get it next year.
I got it this evening. Denmark. NEE product code.
/CK
Duplicate thread and source not read. Probably testing German market, then I would venture more of EU before more regions rolled out. And no mention of snapdragon as I'm quite sure Germany is F/Exynos note9.
HDR issue?
This morning I installed the new update N960FXXU2ARI9. the general stability has worsened and the phone seems to be weighed down ..
Why all the ????? Only one is required.
And no, nothing yet in Australia.

Can you be more specific?
And what about the camera improvements? Anything superior to what was already there?

Unfortunately I use very little camera ... I have no idea. as for the problems I opened a thread ... forced closings and sometimes the phone is blocked without being able to interact and you have to wait a few seconds. I think that in the day I will do a hard reset and see if the problem is in substratum or other small mods made

Got the update yesterday for 960F/DS from Taiwan. HDR does seem to emphasize the shadows more, but for me the effect seems too exaggerated now. There's still some shutter lag under some situations with auto mode compared to pro mode.
Based on people's reviews, I don't want this update now ?
Slight improvement
Flashed mine yesterday with the German version (I'm in the UK). HDR in outdoor shots with cloudy sky definitely seem improved. Still finding it a very disappointing camera though. Auto has real difficulty focusing on moving objects and even the slightest slow movement results in a blurry image. I take lots of photos of our dogs and I'm really struggling to get anything useable. Which is not a problem I had anywhere near as much on the iPhone X.

Hi everyone
Since android's version of Android PIE, is slowling rolling out to Mate 10 Pro's, has anyone yet made or found, a review of the changes, specifically for the Mate 10 Pro?
Sure, there's a couple of reviews & Youtube videos of the Beta version and of EMUI 9, but I'm looking specifically for the official PIE update on the Mate 10 Pro.
Anyone found a review yet?
Not really
I'm using it for a week now. It looks better. Battery life was bad over the first 2 days after the update but it's better now ( slightly better than Oreo). Some stutter is happening here and there but not too much. Free ram seems to get lower ,so apparently using more ram. Camera is much better.
Can you specify in what way the camera got better ? picture quality ? video quality ? night mode ? exposure ?
I haven't gotten an update since April last year, so I got EMUI 9 and all the intermediate changes all at once. Camera is insanely better, it doesn't overexpose at all like it used to, back in EMUI 8 the camera overexposed everything all the time. I got 960fps slowmo from only having 240fps one. I got hand-held night shot that works exactly like the P20 Pro, works wonders. The interface is changed I have to get used to that, it's not bad. I can also turn off Master AI now, couldn't do that before...
Sorry for my English, I'm from Ukraine))
I would like to clarify one point about the camera modules of different versions redmi 8.
China and global camera module Sony imx486, f/1.75
India Sony imx363 ...?
Is this true, and how much affects the quality of the shooting?
On the forum 4pda, this phone is already in people only the global version.
Sony IMX363 sensor
Yes, I use the Indian version and it has a Sony IMX363 sensor

If you looking for it in web,you found that the Imx486 and 363 are quite similar on many specs, for exemple, both are 12mpx and 2mm or 1/2.9 also pixel size 1.25 mícrons,so they are almost equivalent in terms of resolution, the greatet diference is that the IMX486 has the technological enhancements over the past three years cause it was launched in february 2018 while the IMX 386 was launched in July 2016.
