Modified YouTube app?

Hey guys I was just wondering if it were possible to modify
the YouTube app or even develop a new one that can gain full access to the website (no more unavailable on mobile devices ) and the ability to turn off the screen while listening to normal music videos (no music stopping ).
I find it annoying to have the screen on while just listening to a normal song which mainly display still pictures

Looks like were the only ones that want too see the youtube app. That actually works.....

Try downloading JetVD, that's app play any video.

Honeycomb youtube app
I all. a little off topic. was wondering if its possible to get the new honeycomb youtube app working on our devices or is it not able to work?

[Q] Annoying icon covering YouTube videos

It looks like some kind of RSS feed icon, it shows up when I put the video in landscape then won't go away. How do I remove/disable this?

I think that might be the chromecast icon but I'm not sure. Check if u have a connected tv under settings

Same problem here.
Galaxy Note2, suddenly I started seeing chrome cast icon on my YouTube videos.
Its was working just fne this morning. I dont have chrome cast device.
Any luck removing this thing.

This happens to me when I'm connected to my car through bluetooth. There has to be a TV or some other bluetooth device close by. When I turn bluetooth on then launch youtube the icon isnt there. But if I turn bluetooth off after I launch youtube the icon will not go away.

Open the app manager from the phone settings menu, find YouTube under the all tab and clear the default, cache, data, and force close. That did it for me. Also, if you do use cast or bluetooth, try to disconnect from the receiver when you're done. Not sure why it hangs like that.

I had this problem and looked around. The play store reviews mention it quite a bit, and I found a google circles comment saying they were aware of the problem. My only solution: download and install a prior version. I found the 5.1.10 apk for download by searching around.
I also went to play store and the youtube app and disabled automatic updating. I'll probably update it in a month or so and see if they've fixed it, yet, but still have the .apk of the older version on hand.

Facebook video issue on Huawei Ascend P7

Hi Chaps,
I have recently bought Huawei Ascend P7 device... It is such a nice device... I love it so much..
However I have an issue with Facebook videos. When playing any video on Facebook, ideally the video should expand to the whole screen and the navigation bar should fade away. However this does not happen here. What happens is that when I play the video, the video appears as if it is floating in the middle of the screen and I still can see the facebook feeds in the background while the navigation bar is still there. See the attachment.. shows the issue.
In youtube videos I don't have this issue at all. The video will expand to the whole screen and the navigation bar disappear
I am not sure if this is a bug in the device itself or in Facebook!! Or am I missing some setting here?
Appreciate any help here.

I got it fixed!
Back-up your device and do a factory reset from the menu.
Got no problems anymore.

WatchOn Update

Heads up. .. just received an update for the watchon app, and it was a huge update to an already decent app.
The new ui is very impressive. Really adds value to the tablet

What does this app do? I have Netflix and Hulu Plus. What would I get from this app?

One stop A/V app ...
Set it up with your TV provider and it has the full TV schedule on your tablet. It provides a nice set of universal remote control options for controlling your A/V setup. Once you get the remote setup, then you can choose your channel from the TV guide with the IR.
It also has a very robust setup for watching videos, searching videos, watching movies and trailers, etc. It will show what movies are on other services and launch them if you choose to watch (Free crunchyroll, etc)

I cant find .apk, for edit, where folder locate?

I just went to CM11 (This tablet now FLIEEEESSS) and I forgot to backup WatchOn app. I have older version (from s4 subforum), but it looks old and doesnt support tablet orientation. Can anyone upload current version apk? I will be trully greatful.

Got my new Gear Vr today from Best Buy (shipped in two days online) and it's been awesome. One thing I was wondering though, how do I access all those 360 videos on YouTube?

Use the Samsung Internet app.

Care to show how?
When I use the Samsung browser to see youtube 360 videos, all it shows is the flat video on the browser. How do we get the head tracking and inside the video effect?

As far as I know, there's no true solution for this. I too am looking for a real fix. Everything I've found so far involves downloading the videos to the phone locally. Not what I want...

In the SAMSUNG internet app, tap the full screen button in the bottom right corner then the integrated video player will give you the option to play the video as a side by side 3D or as a 360 video

Hey if you want to watch you tube videos in the theater setting then go to sideloadvr.com and check out the youtube 360 cinema. Youll have to follow the guides on the site to 1. verify your phones signature, then sign your own apks to be validated with your device. Their is a automated process but didn't work for me I had to do it manually. Also the vrstream app is amazing, you can stream nvidia based computer games to your theater setting as well its quite breathtaking if you need any help hit me up.

Correct me if I'm wrong but this app load only flat youtube videos? I was not able to use 360 effect, just flat screen. I was hoping for some real 360 experience.

You need the newest Youtube app for you to see 360 video. The older ones will not work.

All you have to do is open the youtube app. You can use google cardboard icon on the bottom right. I have uploaded 3d 360 videos to youtube and it works seamlessly.
