Want to i purchasing P20 pro on contract apart from 3 is there any other retailers that sell duel SIM phones
In what country? The UK? Western networks hate dual sim phones as they go against their very business model, which is the reason why dual sim versions of flagship models are practically never sold in Western Europe or the US, but typically have to be sourced from the UAE, Hong Kong, Singapore, India, etc.
You may try online stores like Handtec or Clove, but I doubt networks would sell you a dual sim version. In the UK, EE and Vodafone only sell the single sim (I have asked their tech support). Are you sure Three sells the dual sim? Would that be the L29 variant? Have you asked them or seen it in a store?
Three UK sells dual sim, I ve got one.

And they are the only in the UK. I have done the research, called all providers
@qwerty1q, do you know of any UK or Western European store, other than clove.co.uk (and strangers on ebay or amazon...) that sell the dual sim version?

Hi,
I would like to purchase a Note 5 - ideally Dual Sim (but doesn't have to be) in the UK. Several sites offer a 32GB Dual Sim Variant. I don't really want 32GB but if the price is right I would consider it. A few offer 64GB but at crazy prices.
Several site offer a dual sim variant that seems to support 1800Mz 4G - which should work on Three/EE UK. They don't advertise the model number well though.
Any other gotchas? The warranty isn't super critical to me as I tend to keep phones for only 6 months and then sell on. I know I will take a resale hit, but I can probably live with that.

Mate I ordered mine yesterday Note 5 dual sim 64GB gold for £638 from Ebay (Should be delivered by Monday/Tuesday). similar to you I am not much worried about warranty as I keep changing my phones in 3-4 months.
The only thing I hate about Ebay and importing phones is VAT charges.
Have a look there are some decent prices there for dual and single sim variants.
So annoyed at Samsung for not releasing it here in UK.
I hope it works out well for you. I have imported a few phones - but usually for much less money. Fingers crossed the seller marks it with a very low value as otherwise the tax will push that up quite a bit.
And yeah, its frustrating that its not going to be released officially soon. There were some rumours of the 28th - maybe some announcement - but I doubt it.
n920i
I bought a 64gb N920i from ebay this week
I can confirm that it doesnt recognise 4G on Vodafone however when I pop a EE sim in, 4G is picked up straight away
Do you like it? Worth the money? And do you mind saying how much you paid?
The N920i varient doesnt support band 20 (800 Mz) so it wont work on vodafone 4G. EE and Three use 1800 Mz so technically is is 4G but 800 Mz is where you wanna be. the AT&T version seems to support band 20 though.
I have both the unlocked a version and the international I version. Vodafone works on an unlocked a version. Only issue with at&t is bloat ware which can be disabled and the locale being set to us only. This means the date format is wrong. Other than that can confirm it works on Vodafone

No issues at all, however, after all of that though, think I prefer the edge plus!
I have one for sale

In the same boat and looking at the Note 5 N920A. I cant justify spending almost a thousand euros on the edge plus.
Can you confirm if the N920A works flawlessly with LTE on Vodafone (Band 20)
Yes works flawlessly on the A version. Would recommend 64gb version. Got mine from here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151791148...49&var=450987358361&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

Whats the story with "Clean IMEI"?
I just did a brief search on ebay for the N920A and i can see "Clean IMEI" in the description of some phones
My understanding is that it means that the phone is not a contract phone (under finance) and that AT&T do not have the ability to blacklist the phone and prevent it working on their networks.

Does the n920A version works with all 4g networks in the UK or only with Vodafone and O2? When you received it was it with broken seal?
I have ordered n9208 have been told all networks work but three UK.
>920A
>920T
>920C
>920CD (dual sim)
these are compatible with all european 4G/lte bands/operators (FDD B20/800mhz enabled)
no FDD B20/800mhz band on most other models:
>9208
>9200
>920i
etc etc
this means no 4G on three UK
Hi guys,
I need your help in something, im searching to buy the Nokia 8 Dual SIM variant, unfortunately here in Cyprus where i live the haven't brought the phone yet so i'm looking to order it online.
But the think is that from Ebay or some other website that i looked they sell the TA-1052 variant which is for China/Taiwan market. Or mostly they sell the Single SIM variant.
Do you know where i can find the TA-1004 Dual SIM version ?
Thanks !
Nokia official shop. I just bought one

In most of the EU countries dual sim is available from Nokia directly or major resellers. Just order it online.
Unfortunately in Cyprus there is no Nokia official shop here and the reseller is going to bring only the Single SIM version.
In Greece which i'm also searching most of them they have the Single SIM version, some others that the list a Dual SIM version they mention the TA-1052 variant which is meant for the Chinese market
If you can suggest a website it would be great because so far only the Single SIM i'm finding...
Edit: And also if if i find a Dual SIM model they only have it in Steel color and not in Tempered Blue which i'm looking for.
I can not specify a known and valid online shop in EU which would send abroad. Amazon maybe?
I bought mine in PL, but dual sim tempered blue is easy available in other EU countries like Germany, Netherlands, Belgium etc.
Dunno if it helps you but I got my dual sim tempered blue nokia 8 from amazon india website. I am from India and the model i am holding( in fact typing this message) is a "Made in India" Nokia 8 model.
Just for your info.
They are for sale on amazon.es (Spain) not sure if they ship to Cyprus though.
Finally i found it through ebay (Germany) and bought at lower price than Cyprus and already received it...
Thanks for your help and suggestions !
Does anyone know if there's much difference, if any between ordering a Dual Sim Note 8 from Dubai or Hong Kong. The phone is shipping to Australia if that matters.
Thanks..

Be sure, to buy the SM-N950F (International version), NOT the SM-N9500 which is sold i.e. in Hong-Kong & China

Why not ? I have n9500 and it's great
I think dubai is Exynos Model. If you are looking for an Exynos Model, look into buying from Brazil too, it has 128gb dual sim exynos available. and samsung page shows it ships worldwide.
but if you are not planning to root/customize much you can go with hongkong model(SM-N9500) with 256gb they are quite cheap if you buy from ebay.com.au going at around 1200 AUD$ and getting shipped within 2 weeks. some even within a week and from Australia so no import tax.
I am also from australia and waiting for 256gb exynos dual sim model. lets hope this christmas brings good news.
Thanks for the tips.. I don't need a lot of memory, so I've ordered the 64gb model from Dubai for less than A$1000.
Hi,
Does anyone know whether the Nokia 8 john Lewis sells supports dual sim, or know anywhere else that sells a dual sim supporting model in the UK?
Thanks
For anyone else looking for a UK Dual Sim model, they're almost impossible to find. The BT Shop lists them at £521 (yes £220 more than most places currently list the single sim ) but I couldn't find them elsewhere. Plenty of grey imports on Amazon, and ebay has the usual sellers importing the Asian market version from China but trying to pretend they're based elsewhere, with the usual warranty risks. I went with purchasing an EU model from Clove - they're slightly dearer than the UK single sim versions, but not too bad. I'm guessing pressure from UK network providers is why we largely get single sim versions. Probably not a big issue for folks who live and work in one place, but I've yet to find a network provider who offers consistently good data coverage across Kent.
I looked at the 7 plus as an alternative (surprisingly hard to choose between the two) but I think the Nokia 8 still has the edge and Dual Sim versions of the 7 Plus aren't any easier to find in the UK.
Can anyone confirm what the model number is for the UK dual sim version of the P20 Pro? E.g. The model number of the infamous Three network contract version I've seen mentioned numerous times?
Does anyone know whether there are other UK dual sim sellers now also given its been some months since release?
On the Huawei UK website I noticed that in the technical specs (under the "SIM" section) it says that the twilight version is only in dual sim.. Correct or a mistake?
https://consumer.huawei.com/uk/phones/m/p20-pro/tech-specs/
Hoping its correct, because Carphone warehouse sell the twilight colour, so they may be selling the dual sim version without acknowledging it. I called CPW and they said that I "should assume its single sim as CPW website doesn't state dual sim".

Nope single sim. My twilight colour was dispatched by CPW and it is single sim. AFAIK, only 3 have the dual sim variant in the UK
C782 (CLT-L29). No idea about the colour though, mine's midnight blue.
I also got a Twilight in the UK from mobiles.co.uk (part of the Carphone Warehouse group).
I bought it on a Vodafone contract but is unlocked.
I hoped for dual SIM but it is model number CLT-L09 and sadly only single SIM
