i have the Nokia 8 with pure android and i got that feeling that there are some "secret" apps. For example in Spotify there is an option called equalizer. and when i do some cool changes there it does not only affect Spotify but all sounds. On my old phone with Lineage OS there was an stand alone equalizer app installed and when i open the Spotify equalizer option this app was opened. So i wonder if the stock android has an on board equalizer, too and how would i open it without Spotify?
Another "secret" app is the weather app from google. I have that google widget on the homescreen that tells me what date it is and if there is anything in my calendar for today (hopefully it will do that i added it today and there where no entry for today) And somewhen (don't know why) there was in addition weather information and when i clicked on it it opened a google weather app. But i cannot find that app from the app drawer.
Hopefully some of you can help me with those apps. I'm absolutely new to pure android. Before the android versions were always modified by HTC or Lineage,...
You can download shortcut for equalizer in Google Play store. I think the same with weather app

i cant play my musics on the cloud with google music. And if i choose a playlist to listen offline cant download the songs! Just notice this sincer yesterday...
problem resolved... i went to google music phone permission in my browser on the pc and deleted all the phones there. Now it works
Yeah I have a problem too with this Big long redesign g-music.....WHAT THE HELL HAPPEN TO SOME SIMPLE LOCK SCREEN CONTROLS. They are trying to make a sink in the music market with this NEW UI but still no new widget design or lockscreen function. Please somebody come up with a modded g-music with some simple lockscreen function like i notice with alot of other modified g-apps.
Its coming in ICS. If you're like us and you've been running it you'll notice the lock screen has music controls and so does the notification bar.

Have you seen anybody on youtube use it or have shown it because i thought that this new g-music is suppose from ics and still NO lock screen function. So if u have hit me up with the link.

The google gods have heard the yell of the people. ICS update to the nexus s has given lockscreen function with google music..
So here's the deal i'm rooted and on stock rom i'm also a game informer digital subscriber, now in the market there is an app that lets you view the digital magazine as long as your a subscriber which I am and I signed in to the app. I was able to download the app and install it on the One thanks to Market Helper. Now I sign in and tap library or store so i can read one of the magazines but nothing happens a loading screen appears and disappears and the screen stays blank. To my knowledge the app should work unless I'm missing something, what else can i do to force this app to work on my phone thanks.
So has any one ever got the game informer app to work on a phone.
The stock media remote app seems to work fine with Spotify playing on the phone, however it would be pretty cool to see a spotify-specific app, maybe with the following features:
- like track
- albumart
- track/album name
- playlist selection
There are a few remote apps on the play store, but they are PC to phone, an existing phone to phone one may work, if one exists?
Any one have any idea's if the above is possible?
Aghh I just asked this on a different thread!
I don't know if a "Remote Control" app exists for Android, but if it does, it would still probably looks awful on the Gear, since it won't be optimized for it.
Hopefully there could be something created or "hacked" to, at least, transmit song info to the Gear native application. An Xposed module would be awesome!

Anybody knows how to push user apps as system apps? In lollipop, system apps have their own folders with exact names. And also in lollipop, if lockscreen is secure, no user installed music app could show lockscreen controls access. Could anyone advice the proper name for the folder that must be created in order to make it as a system app?

Change it to a system app using Titanium Backup.
Even setting the app as a system app does not work. I placed pandora as a system app and I am still unable to have the app control access from the lockscreen. Any other suggestions?
This is cool. How'd i wish i can use ColorOs Music app in CM ROm as well. but yeah, thanks for this.

it possible. but only if you have activity launcher. i have been use it for long time. the "premium services" is paid only. so in the end only good for recording audio.
here how:
1.download version 1.0.0.A.0.39 from apkmirror
2.download app to launch activity. i am using Activity launcher(available on play store)
3.find music pro(if you cannot find it. try musicpro without space. or just search pro)
4.there should be 3 unlocked activity find .ui.editaudiactivity. and place shortcut on home.
5.now you able to use music pro without problem from shortcut
the reason it need to use activity launcher. because the default activity is welcomeactivity. the problem is. this activity that only trigger at launch is crashing. it could be because some sony API/library/back end app is missing. or it could be some type of anti privacy protection from sony. so there app cannot be launch on non official devices
PS:this version work fine so im never plan to update it. but you could try with lasted version first if you want to
