I can't give out any details since I don't want to get anyone in trouble but basically I spoke with someone I know who is connected to Samsung and they game me some info, but it's pretty vague. They said that samsung experience shops will begin to put up new ads for the Note 4 during the last week of the month and that the shops will be getting floor models of the Note 4 during that time. The person also said that the release date will be in the first week of October, possibly October 3rd. I also heard another person say something about the Note 4 being release early, as In the last few days of September but that doesn't seem likely since Samsung themselves said October. I am assuming they got the release date confused with the day that they will be sending out floor models but who knows. (EDIT: just read this article on gottabemobile that references a September 26th early release, still skeptical they would release in September after saying October though. http://www.gottabemobile.com/2014/09/17/samsung-galaxy-note-4-release-date-could-be-close/) All 5 of the US Note 4 carrier variants have cleared through the FFC so it's coming, soon....ish. Take the above with the typical dose of salt.

I'll continue to take with spoon full of salt until something more concrete is released. Seen too many of these types of posts over the years on XDA.
I wonder if this would apply to Canadians as well? It looks like past Note's released at the same time in Canada and the USA if I read correctly. I can handle a little over two weeks until launch. I'll set myself up for that and if the info is wrong it shouldn't be much longer after that.

No specifics but my source implied it might not be available at launch according to what he has been told by Samsung.

Fair enough, I don't blame you. Most of the rumors about the Note 4 were dead wrong. Samsung is VERY good about keeping info secret.

No idea, my source did not mention anything about Canada so I wont speculate. I am skeptical about the early release dates(Sept 26-28th) that are now being rumored but I sure hope Im wrong. I think Samsung might be finally realizing their mistake after seeing Apples success with the iPhone 6+ preorders.

Well. It seems everyone was wrong. Pre-orders tomorrow for the US and won't be available until October 17th. Whew..Talk about a botched up launch. At least we know officially tho..

Wow I wonder why the experience shops are getting ready with new ads and such at the end of the month if they aren't going to be releasing it until Oct 17th. My source was telling me about how the work schedules were being set for maximum coverage at the end of the month and very early October(I know he's not BSing me). Does not compute. Sorry guys, the info seemed legit enough to share.
Samsung seems to be surprising all of us, but in the worst possible way. What a terrible terrible launch. Releasing a product after 6 weeks from announcement is unacceptable. They got the Note 3 out even quicker than that and they didn't have the iPhone 6+ bearing down on them. Also, releasing a 32bit and 64bit version is so bizarre. Pick one and produce it like all the other manufactured do. Who ever comes up with this stuff needs to be fired pronto.

No news on the Edge and a launch 6 weeks after announcement. Apple announces and launches their phablet within 3 weeks of Note 4 announcement. Note 4 ads ,giving no date or reason to buy ,launch on TV.
This is why Samsung sales continously slip. They forget they got to this point by magnificent advertising and hammering iPhones and its fanboys. Now they're too busy patting themselves on the back and acting like everyone is willing to wait it our for their phone.
Its hard getting to the top, but it's harder to STAY there...
I know preorders start on the 29th but does anyone know when the phone is set to release?

I think that's what'll end up hurting the most..... that long wait from the 29th to the 12th... that is IF they even actually start to ship out right away on the 12th, or if we'll have another debacle like the Nexus 5 launch, where it's like the ordering process was basically a pre-order and you still had to wait 2+ weeks to actually get the phone.

November 12th is the T-Mobile release of the device. That said the N6 could release on Google Play a little sooner than that. Its not hard to imagine really.
I feel bad more for people in other countries that might have to wait MUCH longer than us to get their hands on a N6.
Yeah I would imagine it releasing a couple of days sooner on google play. A lot of the cases for it on amazon have release dates towards the end of November so I wouldn't be surprised if it released around the 12th.
I hope it releases on AT&T the same day as google play

I'm not seeing any proof online to confirm this. I suspect you meant to say that Samsung will release it to each carrier on /by February 30th (then we have to wait until the carrier adds their own custom bloatware). I can't imagine all carriers releasing the firmware at the same time.

I think it will be released by all carriers OTA on February 30th. Except Sprint... They're way behind. Probably April 31. ???
I am curious in what reality that there will be ANYTHING released on "Feb 30th"? Since this is a LEAP YEAR, there will be one extra day added, Feb 29th, but there has never been a Feb 30th during my half century of life!
I just realized that I actually fell for the February 30th date. My brain has been on vacation for the past few days due to sleep deprivation (due to work). I still can't believe I fell for that date.

Then I guess I'll just get the 64 gb version of OP3T. I don't think it'll matter that much.
Ordered one on 2nd of may got delivered by 4th. It was not in stock till 30th of April. Probably it can comeback again.

On the US website, the 128 GB version is listed as "Discontinued" rather than "Out of stock". That may not be indicative of what OnePlus is doing in every market (I believe the US was the first market they stopped selling the 3, in advance of the 3T release). But it's not encouraging, either.
