Hey i put the at a glance widget from google on my Home screen, but it doesn't show my calendar entries. Only the date. When i first tap on it it asked me whether to open Google calendar or outlook. I said outlook and do always use this. Well i want to switch it but i don't know how. There are no settings, no default settings or anything like that.
Further there was for about half an hour weather information on the at a glance widget but now there are no more weather Infos. I don't know why it was there or why it is gone now.
Anyone who can explain that widget to me?

Is that a Calendar widget that shows the upcoming events on the main screen? In which it will auto refresh itself once there is a new event being uploaded to the calendar?
was "Is that" meant to say "Is there"? if the answer is yes, then you're in luck, search Calendar Widget in Dream/Dream Applications
My bad. 'Is there', hahah.. Is the Calendar Widget stable enough?
I like the Pure Calendar widget.
Right click on your home page and select widget. You probably have a calendar widget already on your phone (depending on which ROM you are running)
Is that a calendar widget, or are you just happy to see me? sorry, couldn't help it.
Just noticed something I miss from my old phone. I only just noticed it because I haven't had any appointments until now. Is there a way to show your nest appointment prominently, such as on a homescreen or on the lock screen? I notice the lock screen shows calls/voicemail/sms, but not appointments.
+1
Is there any way to do this?

also want.
Still nothing as far as a lock screen, but after some googleing, I found that there are a few apps on the market that let you display this info on the homescreen as a widget. just search for the word "agenda" and a bunch will pop up. Right now I am using Agenda Widget because I can customize it to blend in with my clock. The other ones were functional, but kinda ugly.

for your home screen, use Smooth Calendar, so far the best free widget I tried yet!
Can show up to 3 appointments as far out as you want. Looks clean and simple also.

Try Executive Assistant. It is a little flaky yet (I am using the free version), it does the trick for the meetings and even has a little slide unlock deal instead of the standard android lock screen.
widget locker + pure calendar or launcherpro plus calendar
Another vote for Pure Calendar, the Pure widgets are skinnable so they can have the look you want, and Messenger, Calendar, and Weather Forecast they provide most of what I want on my homescreen.

Hello,
can anyone tell me hoe to get the calendar events displayed on the screen like in Symbian os you can get all the events and to-do list on screen.
thank you
Like a widget you mean? You can try Jorte, it's not the smoothest looking, but very functional once you dig all the possible settings.

I use "smooth calendar" it is a widget that I use just 3 lines - but i think you can make it bigger.
There are many calendar widgets in the market, as well as the built-in Samsung daily briefing widget - if you want to devote an entire home screen.
I use Agenda Widget. It's very nice and gives you enough widget options to make it as big or small as you like.
Hi guys,
I have a problem with calendar widgets not showing "all-day" events. This happens on both the stock google calendar widget as well as pure calendar widget. However, it seems to only affect calendar widgets that shows event information such as location, etc. On the daily briefing widget, it does show my all-day event as well as smooth calendar widget. These widget only show the event title and nothing else.
If anyone has any clue on how to fix this, your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Hi everyone - on all my previous Galaxy phones I could add Direct Contacts widgets to my homescreen. I would get a small photo of the person whose contact it was, and then if I tap that picture, I have the option to call, text, etc.
Since switching to my S23, when I create that widget in Contacts it creates a shortcut with a photo, but in the lower right corner of the photo is a small orange (or blue if its the google contacts app) "contacts app" icon to show which app the widget came from.
It looks bad and covers up a chunk of the person's contact photo. It only started happening when I switched photos and I cannot figure out why or how to get rid of the little icon superimposed on the contact photos.
Anyone know what I can do? Thanks
Install Mad Contacts?
no way to somehow disable that app icon? is that new somehow? cant figure out why it didnt happen in the past and only started now.
in fact some of the contact shortcuts I imported when I switched phones still retain that look but any new ones I add have the icon...
