Hi all,
I've unlocked the bootloader on my Nexus One.
I got the message that there was a new froyo update. When I try to install I got this error: "Verficiation failed".
Is there a way to install this new update, like a force on the verficition check or installing the official bootloader again?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Dirk
Do you have a custom recovery?
?
From what I've read you may not want to update, being the main fix is to disable/make it more difficult to root. You may want to for your own reasons, idk. Just putting it out there.
First, thanks for the reply's.

It could be that I have a custom recovery (I've followed a manual, and there was a step to choose for Nexus bootloader or Cyonogenmod bootloader. I've choosed Nexus.
Is there a way to get the official custom recovery back?
I don't have a custom rom.

Question: Do we have to flash the stock recovery after flashing the rooted system image? I prefer to have TWRP recovery anyways.

You can use whatever recovery you would like, the system image does not affect the recovery in any way.

The bootloop have nothing to do with my bootloader files, they are completley stock from the ota file!
If you installing the new bootloader files on older roms you are asking for troubles.
Boot the watch in bootloader mode and flash the files as described and you watch will work.
Af if it bootlooping run a "Fastboot -w" after flashing.

Have added it today.
I tried this using the update (LCA44B) and now the watch doesn't even turn on. No LG logo or anything.

Yep, just like in the steps, the thing did show a FAILED (anti-rollback) when flashing the 'aboot'. I just used everything that was on the zip, now the watch doesn't even show the LG logo, I've tried plugging it on and off and keeping the reset button pressed for a while. I really don't know what else to try.
I'm waiting for it to run out of battery, but I don't even know if it's "on".

Did just ran it on my own watch and everything working.
If you aboot fails flashing your watch might have another problem, i assume that your watch have an unlocked bootloader??

Yes, it had the boot loader unlocked, and I can't try again flashing the aboot because I can't get it to recovery mode or fast boot mode or anything.
Who can I get the images from?

By people, do you mean 1 person ???
Pretty unfair for other, isn't it ?
I am looking for bootloader files for the G Watch R to flash over what I believe to be a corrupt bootloader on my device. It will only boot when on the charging stand, and so far I have only been able to get it to boot to 5.0.1 successfully. Once the device tries to pull down the OTA update it reboots and proceeds to run the update and then it fails and powers off.
Currently I can access fastboot and I can get it to boot a stock recovery and twrp with the 5.0.1 boot.img flashed to my device.
Can anyone who has downloaded the original package from this thread PM me the files? I need to reflash my bootloader files to attempt to fix a booting issue with my watch. Any help would be appreciated and I will not hold anyone accountable if I hard brick my device.

Hi there ,
Why don't you try this one ??
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-w...edroid-r-urbane-port-v1-0-0-june-6th-t3128850
I rooted my Nexus 6 a while ago, bootloader is also unlocked (obviously) and I flashed a custom recovery, the rest remained stock. Now I got the update for 5.1.1 ota but it wouldn't let me install it, not even with the stock recovery (which I flashed later again) because it said something like it expected something different in some system-file. So I backed everything up and tried flashing the whole firmware from the google servers using the flash-all.bat. It flases the bootloader and also the radio, but then it says:
target reported max download size of 536870912 bytes
archive does not contain 'boot.sig'
archive does not contain 'recovery.sig'
failed to allocate 1778975696 bytes
error: update package missing system.img

I understand that I can flash everything manually and it also works, but what if I get another ota update someday? I won't be able to install it ota, will I? I'll need to flash it manually again then, right? Is there any other way to kinda 'force-flash' the stock firmware?
Thanks in advance for yout help!

Flash-all doesn't work. All you need to do is flash the system image and boot image if you've unencrypted or switched kernels. You won't lose your data this way.

Yes, but why? Just flash the system and boot images of the latest version also if an updated bootloader and radio, flash those too. No need for OTA's on a Nexus.

Go easy....
Wanting to flash some of the newer M ROMs.
Requirements are latest radio, boot loader and TWRP
How do I change those?
I'm root and twrp installed. Are there zips to flash in recovery 1st?
Steps or even a video would be HUGE, and thank you for helping.
The information is everywhere. You have to flash the radio/bootloader in fastboot mode. You can't flash them in recovery.

I was in a similar situation, I have MultiRom, and I wanted to preview M out without getting rid of PureNexus. So this is what I did
Download factory image for M
Make sure you have the latest android SDK!!!
extract the factory image
rename bootloader file to bootloader.img; rename radio file to radio.img
connect your device and reboot into bootloader
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash radio radio.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
then reboot your phone, and you are good
if you are uncertain about it, take a look at flash-base.sh, or flash-all.bat, and follow those steps.
most bootloaders and radios ARE available via a flashable zips that can be flashed via twrp, you just have to look for them. otherwise, fastboot is very easy.
I found the zips and flashed them with flashify. How do I know if it took? What is the radio listed under settings?
Settings-about phone-?

If you flashed the marshmallow radio, the baseband should end in .27r.

i dont think you can flash the bootloader via flashify.
Does flashing marshmallow factory image not update the boot loader and radio with it ? Ie flashing marshmallow from NRT toolkit ?

My phone is bricked, need the complete Fastboot flushable signed 28.2 firmware, Oreo 8.1 May Update for the USA retail model of x4
Mod edit: no trading/payments on XDA please... edited.
I have the OTA. Would you be able to use that?
Why not just flash 28.1 full firmware and just take the ota to 28.2 that it offers immediately?
I thought it was possible to downgrade via the fastboot method with any firmware. Doesn't have to be 28.2 to at the very least get your phone back working.
try flashing OTA. adb sideload it.

when I try, it says image validation failed. I NEED 28.2 or higher
see, my boot loader was locked when I tried to flash a different rom. I didn't know I needed to unlock the boot loader I thought that step was optional. now im stuck with a phone that only boots to Fastboot, will ONLY accept SIGNED STOCK 28.2 or higher.
Can try https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=229118 or https://firmware.center/firmware/Motorola/Moto X4/Stock/XT1900-1/
See if it will accept an earlier version. Couldn't hurt in your situation.

Have you ever unlocked the bootloader before? If not, you could send it to Motorola for replacement.

Not sure what to tell you from here. Just make sure not to rush any steps due to frustration or impatience.
I was able to return my first Moto X4 on warranty due to playing around with flashing. I'm sticking 100% stock till we get official lineage.

Bad eticate to post about your issue on multiple threads especially when you have your own. I'm sorry, there is no timetable. Could be tomorrow, could be months. This is the risk in flashing, end even worst in our case since Lenovo has not released factory images.
