Redmi 4 MIUI Fingerprint Issue

On my Redmi 4 fingerprint scanner is not working intermittently. I have tried stable rom and developer rom. factory reset and everything. Is there a solution for this issue?
Please help....

In miui9 most of users got problem of fingerprint sensor.
Follow mi forum and post there may be any genious person available there

Back from LOS to MIUI

Hi,
I'm not fully happy with my LineageOS because I need to push a button before using the fingerprint. That's why I want switch to Xiaomi.eu MIUI 11.
Can I simply flash the ROM with TWRP or is anything else to do before?

I think you need to wipe data and system and then flash miui.eu rom, but wait for more replies to be sure ?

Just flashed the LOS ROM yesterday and this is also annoying me.
Why does the Fingerprint Sensor not work with the screen off like with MIUI ?

It seems to be an exclusive feature from MIUI, i don't know why. That's why I'll give MIUI another try.

I followed your guide, but now I'm in a bootloop to recovery. It seems I've now to flash a fastboot ROM? How can I determine, which one I need?
Is there a way to flash it under linux or do I need a windows computer for that?

I am currently on my offical rom (MIUI 12.0.16) European global. Is there any risk in installing latest 12.5 sweetin rom in my (sweet) device.

It should works, but not tested yet.

1. install orangefox recovery.
2. format data and reboot recovery
3. copy rom to your phone. Or use microsd card
4. install zip file and reboot

Hi. I have Redmi 9T with, you know, horribly optimized MIUI 12.5.12. With MIUI 12, phone was wery smooth, but after 12.5 everything changed. So, I tried to downgrade it to MIUI 12 via updater app but that is officially unsupported. What can I do? Is it worth to wait more for long awaited MIUI 13, or go back to 12 (with flashing, or fastbooting, I don't know that well)? And if I'll do flashing, can I do without backup and in-phone data and media loss? There should be a solution.

The bootloader must be Unlocked.

There's a way without unlocking the bootloader....Thry the rename method.works just fine. Downgraded to miui 12.0.12 from 12.5.9 this morning

If you use a Xiaomi Eu rom the bootloader is unlocked..
But maybe you are talking about EEA stock rom, to change version see:

So I can download the .zip file (Flashtool FULL ROM) and not Recovery from the Xiaomi site, copy it to the sd and flash it with OF? Is this just enough? The phone is not encrypted and I am also unrooting it. Thank you so much. Sorry but I'm a newbie.

Yep,O.F/TWRP
wipe/format data type yes reboot recovery/flash rom.
But I advise you to use Mi Flash with a Fastboot rom (TGZ, contains all imgs).
Alternative without Miflash: use the flash file all.bat from the folder extracted from the fastboot rom, with a PC.

In short, the MIUI 13 update has arrived and the phone has been fixed, it almost doesn't freeze anymore and it doesn't need to be updated to 12 anymore. Question How to unlock Redmi note 10S without mi account?

Hello everyone, i am a redmi user who wish to install custom roms on my device. So i have to unlock bootloader of my device again and again. But is it possible to unlock my device without the need of mi account and mi unlock tool. Please mention if its so. I would be very gladful.

why you lock the bootloader ? just leave it unlocked, when flash firmware use the option clean_all DONT clean_all_and_lock and the bootloader will keep unlocked

I need to lock bl for security purposes, as you know fingerprint stop working after bl is unlocked, thats why.

fingerprint wont stop working after unlock bootloader, i use with unlocked bootloader, if you are consenrt about "security" just leave your device full stock, nothing else will give a miracle solution

Bro I have no problem with the miui, actually i watch youtube very much, but after using it continuously for more than 1 hour. The YouTube app stuck and starts lagging a lot. After that i have to clear cache to make is work fine. Can you please provide any help?

I have same issue from Sep. I tried to flash a different version of official rom (latest version) last month and still no luck. I have youtube premium and not only loading often got stucked at the beginning of video, but also have randomly sound stuttering with screen off.
Not fixed for me.

Bro you should flash the miui 12.5.15 and after that update through the updater app. It will install the new update properly.

Thanks for kindly advice. I had this problem since upgraded from MIUI 12 to MIUI 13.
Most people who have this problem after upgraded to MIUI 13. Why didn't you receive MIUI 13 update? My version number is 13.0.10.0 .
Seems we are not on the same page.
DO NOT UPGRADE btw.

I think you didnt understand bro. I think yours one is global rom. Everybody have different solutions to this problem. I preferred you the simplest way by which I solved the problem

Mine is the indian variant. I think it would be resolved with next patch.

Mine is the Taiwanese variant. Current version is different from global one. 13.0.2.0 as I remember. I have this problem after upgraded from MIUI 12 to MIUI 13 . Not solved after two months. So I tried so-called Global Stable ROM (which is 13.0.10.0) with my fingers crossed. And the problem remained.
Not only youtube but also spotify have audio shattered problem. quite annoying.

i just switch my apps ( YouTube, browser YouTube, revanced when it starts lagging)
