When will this device get project Treble support..? Or is there any way to do it manually (unofficial)?
Nope, it doesn't have the partitions for Project Treble to work natively.
Devices launched by Manufacturer with 8.0 and above are Official Treble Supported

although it doesn't have partition to support treble officially but we can use oem partition for vendor partition. vache brings project treble for moto g5 plus now i am running pure aosp GSI on my moto g5 plus.
its possible but your device must have really great dev like vache.

we've got geneticenginer working on it

Hey Devs, now time came to port Treble for our device,
Project treble is now available on Old G4 Plus (athene) and g5 plus (potter).....
According to my knowledge, Treble need an Partition where Vendor Hal's can be stored...
So i wanna to say, please port Treble Enabled TWRP for sanders, as moto g5 plus and g5s plus have same partition structure.....
Also, i had an question, if there's so no empty partition, like CUST on miui devices, can we create a partition using linux parted binary?????

Check correct information, G4/plus has got nothing, thats misunderstanding between treble support and recovery !!
That's recovery only, still not able to flash gsi roms...
For G5, that's vache and other devs, who worked hard to develop,
And as in linked thread, someone says geneticengineer is working on it. [ https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g5s-plus/help/project-treble-t3809787 ]
May be other developers too working for same..
Also, reported this thread as it's posted in wrong section and already many threads are there in Q/A section, just search before posting / creating new threads..
Anyone knows when official custom roms will be released for moto X4. I like to flash official ROM as its my daily driver device.
In custom ROM section, those are unofficial.
There are only Lineage, Resurrection Remix v6.1, Carbon ROM, & that too Unofficial Version.
When can we see Pixel Experience, Omni ROM, AOSP extended, Liquid Remix, CrDroid, Firehound ???
It looks like Moto X4 is neglected device, one side MOTO is not releasing regular update, for my XT1900-2 its still on android 8.0, jun patch, & Other side there are no official popular ROM, i request all developers on XDA to focus on moto X4 so that users like me can enjoy bunch of latest android features.
Unbelievable.
There's no ETA for anything...
But, LineageOS 15.1 will become official and you can flash the GSIs found at Project Treble section, just follow the guide to install Android Pie found here.
No official yet,and process of porting android 9.0 is too complex. Can't we have flashable rom zip one file for android 9 moto x4

WILL become official... Just wait, maybe Tuesday...
The only zip available for Pie is LineageOS 16, but it's in development, not only for our device, but the system itself.
Great news, eagerly waiting...

Will there be a LineageOS compiled for Moto G6, or other ROMS?

You can check out the treble development forum for Los and GSIs which are generic system images. These are a rom designed to be universally compatible. However this tech is in the early stages so what works. And doesn't work is mostly up to you to figure out.

Thanks, I took a look at that, but I was hoping for a version tested and maintained, though I may try Treble when I have more free time later in the year.

The ROMs run pretty well actually. I'm on Pixel Experience Pie right now, and the developer of the AOSP is tailoring the ROM for as many devices as he can.

If it were specifically for the G6, it would be here, but it's a treble GSI. Search for Treble Enabled Device Development and you'll find more than one.

Oh, I forgot that you were talking about the Treble project
I tried the phh's AOSP GSI, it was pretty good. It's just that LTE doesn't work (yet) so I had to switch back.
Hoping to get frequent updates to get things to work!

It is being updated about once a week or so. All or almost all GSIs use Phh-Treble as the base.

Has anyone tried this method to test if Project Treble is enabled on the S10 variants?

There's not any need. Since the S9, Project Treble is required on phones. Termux may not work anyway since Treble has to be on a separate partition and Samsung, at least on the S9 didn't do that. So, the S9 didn't support seemless updates using Treble and I'm guessing the S10, while it does have Treble won't support seemless updates.
Besides, there is an easier way, use Treble Check available in the Play Store.

I will do so when I get my S10e in a couple of weeks. I hope there will be a lot of ROM developments.
Verizon S10+ has suppprt. But there really wasn't any need to check, it's required for phones 8.0 and up
Does this device have project treble support?
