[HELP][SOLVED] Bricked my P8 Lite 2017 - P8 Lite (2017) Discussion

i need help to unbrick my p8 lite 2017,
to start my phone was with "cust c555 pra-lx1 emui 5.0.1"
my initial idea was to debrand the phone, but all the guides I tried failed, always returning to the original ROM stock,
then i backup my oem info image, custom.bin and build.prop...
then I wanted to change the method, trying to install oreo emui 8.x, with this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/development/tool-flash-official-firmware-recovery-t3769279
but result was failed, (I only have a doubt, when I was downloading the zip file hueuupdater via twrp I was doing it from the elite twrp and not from the twrp nochek oreo.....)
* last attempt was flashed via elite twrp an oem info file img (of a fw base nougat nobrand, corrected for my model pra-lx1)
after having opened the file oem, the problems have started, the phone does not go in fastboot mode, it does not go into e / or twrp recovery, it turns on and always restarts, I tried to flash a fw using the dload method but it does not work, I tried to reinstall the fw via erecovery using the wifi but does not start, always error .". Getting Package Info Failed"
now I really need help to restart the phone, someone is kind enough to help me or suggest a proper guide, to unbrick my phone?
thank you
i solved with correct oem info eu!!

Try Firmware finder for huawei + erecovery method , which is :
- download firmware finder on *another android phone* and search for exact phone model (ex : PRA-LA1C185)
- choose the very first firmware down the list
- Get an update thorugh dns >> Manually >> Register update
- After that , reboot your bricked phone into erecovery by ( power + volume*+*)
- press download recovery and last firmware
- wait till getting package
- by now should firmware start downloading
- let phone complete it's work and reboot
Hope that's work for you ?

Firstly, did you try using the dload method to downgrade?
Refer to post 5. (UNBRICKING/DOWNGRADING/SWITCHING ROMS)

Yes, it doesn't use the recovery. It uses the secondary ERecovery. You enter it by powering off your phone and then by pressing all three buttons (hence the name).

Even eRecovery fails to install a PV version

Hi,
My P9 has a weird problem. I can't install any official firmwares : They all fail when installing, whatever the method : 3 buttons, HiSuite + Proxy, Firmware Finder + Proxy on phone, even eRecovery with DNS change.
It's a L09C432 (debranded, used to take updates fine before B383).
Using eRecovery, I'm trying to install as many firmwares as I can, hoping one will install. So far, I've B360-FullOTA-MF-PV, B386-FullOTA-MF-PV without luck.
Is there a "clean-up" package somewhere ?
Any suggestions ?
Thanks !
Install the official firmware over TWRP Recovery. It should also install the stock recovery, so the next time when you reboot into recovery it should be the stock recovery.
How you Debrand Your Phone?

Can't update from .106 to .107 (CLT-L29 C432) - tells me zips are corrupt

Hi all,
I am on a P20 Pro EU Version (CLT-L29 C432) with firmware 106.
What I wanted to do is update from 106 to 107. I have:
- unlocked bootloader
- TWRP installed (tried with official and Pretoriano80 version {https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p20-pro/development/recovery-twrp-3-2-1-0-t3779400})
- Huawei Firmware Finder
- Patched bootloader from here as well back when the only possibility to install magisk was via patched bootloader (self-created from 106 boot img)
What happened so far is:
1) got the official update notification -> small OTA install failed -> received full update -> failed
2) tried install via TWRP with downloaded OTA from https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...rmware-release-clt-l29-8-1-0-107c432-t3779167 -> tells me zip is corrupt (=failed)
3) install via twrp and select update.zip in Huawei Firmware Finder folder -> zip corrupt -> failed
4) installed via dload method - tried small and large update file --> "Software install failed"
so yeah. i dont really know where to go from here and the google maps issue is really bugging me, so i def want to update
appreciate any help
OTA fails = you have TWRP installed
TWRP installation fails = TWRP cannot install these OTA files (what I know of)
Install orig recovery and use the FF proxy method.
thanks @fregor - do you by any chance know where I could download it? I could only find firmware files
use the initial method download the ota unzip it put it in folder named dload and proceed to the update by turning on ur phone while pressing both volume keys
just tried with the 500mb ota and get a "software install failed"
will try with the big one if i somehow find the DL location of it
alright man, I have downloaded the full update via FF. when i unzip the "update.zip" i always get a file is corrupted error. happens on mac and on windows :/
AND downloaded it from here http://pro-teammt.ru/firmware-database/?firmware_model=CLT-L29C432&firmware_page=0 --> software install failed again
kinda lost now tbh
thank you all for your assistance - what helped in the end was using zxz0o0's tool HuRUpdater. It flashes FULL official firmwares without the online check. Can be found here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/development/tool-flash-official-firmware-recovery-t3769279

P8 lite 2017 hard brick unfixable ?

Hello, I've recently installed TWRP on my PRA-LX1, i made a backup of all partitions in case everything goes wrong... and everything went wrong ! I tried to install a custom rom so i formatted all partitions except internal storage, boot, cust and version (all unformattable partitions) . The installation of the custom rom failed so i planned to restore my backup then i realized they've been deleted. my data partition is now only 500MB instead of several gigabytes
Now i want to flash the stock firmware but i can't.
I tried:
- the sd card method but "software installation failed" after a few seconds
- Download the lastest package from Huawei (ERecovery) but "getting package info failed"
- extract the firmware then flash it via fastboot but fastboot doesn't let me flash vendor and product images. twrp too (error:"cannot flash images to file system")
Now my phone is completely stuck
What i can do right now:
- boot into TWRP
- boot into Huawei ERecovery
- boot into fastboot
I think the situation can't get worse. At this point I'll do anything to get back the stock rom even if it's dangerous for the phone. If someone have a full twrp backup of the p8 lite 2017 PRA-LX1 on android 7, please share it
