i been noticing since few latest patch that firmware size is different from one country to another country
what i am really notice is XID (indonesia) region got smaller patch file compared to other region
for N950FXXS3CRF1, the patch size is like 28mb only while other region getting like 500-800mb
same like latest N950FXXU3CRF4, for XID the patch is 263mb ... but other region is 800mb
here screenshot :
XID : https://imgur.com/a/wu0m529
XFE : https://imgur.com/gallery/kjHLV29
so i kinda curious what samsung include and exclude in each country firmware, hope someone that have knowledge about this can share some information
what make me more curious is that the chipset is same, i check all based exynoss model
if the firmware size different between exynoss and snapdragon , i can understand if the size different
but for same model usually , the size should same (its more like universal patch)
so i am wonder why samsung making it specific for each country ? which to me its more like wasting development-time

I too am considering to flash this firmware. Unfortunately, i got reception issue with the new CSC, N920COJV2AOJ3. I cannot touch 4 bar signals on 4G. to be honest a bit better than ex-one. anyway
The website says ,as instruction,;
Extract (unzip) the firmware file
Download Odin v3.10.7
Extract Odin ZIP file
Open Odin v3.10.7
Reboot Phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
Add the firmware file to AP / PDA
Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
Click the start button, sit back and wait few minutes
please let me know your experience, if you follow them.

Have you tried changing CSC? I'm curios that 4 bar signals on 4G fixed by another CSC or not.

nope.. but someone mentioned to have built the russian csc into 920c and also to be utterly satisfied with it,considering getting better reception.
i cant say new update is the same as the ex one. but to be honest, it has still problem with reception. i think the only way for satisfaction on it is to flashing and using the russian one.

I did flash the stock russian firmware to mine(came with UAE) and the reception didn't change. And also know that flashing a rom doesn't affect the baseband(the stuff that deals with the reception). The only thing you'll notice would be the bloatware that is russia specific. I am not sure why samsung blocked the ability to flash different basebands.

I see... I noticed the phone somehow sticks to finding 4g skipping good quality reception of H or H+. I have just checked mine. 4G reception streght is shown to be 120db which is unbelievably low. Moreover, i know 3g or even 2g is very good in my area ( i live in a city) but phone skips these, just focuses on finding 4g. thats very interesting.
if I change the band option from 4g to only 3g, I always get 4 bars of 3g. I think the problem comes from its software as well. But, i do not know how to fix it.
I'm a little bit confused about firmware update for my Watch 3 LTE. What is the latest firmware? My watch says ATFB and doesn't find any update my CSC is ITV. I haven't SPO2 widget on my watch what can i do?

Where are you from ?
I believe ITV is Italy?
Mine is BTG7 firmware, i'm in France...
It's EU version, easy to get O2 widget : initialize watch, choose a contry that offers it (my case : region Spain) and language as you wish (i guess italian)...
Go in wearable, pair the watch as a new one, do the update that's proposed (samsung health). Widget for o2 appears.
Maybe you'll be able to do the same... You can also do the BP/ECG trick, and then you'll be all set with all features.
However i don't know if Italy is on same firmware as France or Spain. Check the available contries ("regions") when you initialize the watch to get the answear.
I have tried also this trick but doesn't work for me, I think it depends of firmware, as I said I'm still with ATFB; yes, ITV it' Italy.
Strange thing is that if check here :
https://doc.samsungmobile.com/SM-R845F/ITV/doc.html
ITV firmware doesn't exist! Other fw like DBT , BTU ecc.. are here:
https://doc.samsungmobile.com/SM-R845F/DBT/doc.html
https://doc.samsungmobile.com/SM-R845F/BTU/doc.html
No problem for ECG and blood pressure, only VO2 max and spo2 are missing...
Is it possible to change CSC without void the warranty? But most of all, is it a easy job?

Maybe you can answer this question self...
A
netOdin is st.len Software
B
Firmware is st.len
C
Samsung do maximum to protect CSC from changing...
Replace . with o...
Summary:
You are not authorized to use netOdin nor Firmware packages nor CSC change.
Best Regards
Thank you! So i have to stay with this f*****g fw release until Samsung remembers that also Italy exist!
Few things are not 100 % clear to me... In LTE world... because BT only devices like SM-R840 and SM-R850 are easy to understand.
A
http://fota-cloud-dn.ospserver.net/firmware/ITV/SM-R845F/version.xml
Sometimes this means not... FOTA is empty if we see nothing...
This is database crap... and Samsung only show public what they want to show you...
A.1
LTE users wrote sometimes it is mandatory to activate eSIM crap to get Firmware...
Something like I know from Phones...
Your eSIM is activated? You can call with this toy?
B
The Firmware update via netOdin...
Less Firmware packages leaked...
I see exact 2 Versions...
https://easy-firmware.com/index.php?a=downloads&b=folder&id=62178
Older is OXA package... newer is OLB
C
I remember few users succesfully changed CSC with SM-R845F...
Too lazy to search now Links...
Question is only for you... which 1...
Inside OXA Region... to get the latest Firmware... to have Blood Oxygen etc...
If you want change CSC and take ALL risks...
I can try to find the Links... for Combination Firmware Mod and Stock Firmware...
Best Regards
I have just tried 2 e-sim without any result, what seems strange to me is that DBT, AUT, BTU...ecc 945F watches, are updated to latest version, i suppose they are included in OXA aren't they?

Hi,
if you can console I have changed firmware with the guide on the forum and the new functions such as vo2 max etc. are there, but in my opinion it has worsened in terms of autonomy and cardio accuracy.
Seems that something has moved : https://doc.samsungmobile.com/SM-R845F/ITV/doc.html
http://fota-cloud-dn.ospserver.net/firmware/ITV/SM-R845F/version.xml
However, my watch doesn't notify me any update (I'm on ATFB), why???
Maybe this software is for those that have BTG7 fw??
Can I update manually?
Looking at this page: http://fota-cloud-dn.ospserver.net/firmware/ITV/SM-R845F/version.xml , seems that this update will triggered only if you come from BTG7. So, those coming from ATFB are cut off??? Unbelievable! The crazy thing is that no ITV SM-R845F are updated to BTG7!!!! All watches come from ATFB!!! WTF are going on at Samsung???
A
It is not really 100 $ what you see in FOTA Link...
Samsung only shows you what Samsung want...
This is Database crap...
Possible not visible files also valid and/or exists...
B
No idea...
You allready tried in Standalone Mode?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/sm...atch-active-2-error-update-tizen-5-5-t4187067
C
No luck with leaked Firmwares...
https://easy-firmware.com/index.php?a=downloads&b=folder&id=62178
Attention OLB and OXA...
D
You can return to Seller or Service Repair Center form Samsung... before trow against the wall.
Best Regards
Very disappointed with Samsung
But in the case that Easy Firmware will publish 945F update, could i install it without any problem with Net Odin without losing guarantee and without trigger knox counter or something similar?
Code:
R845FXXU1[B][COLOR="Red"]ATFB[/COLOR][/B]/R845FOXA1ATFB/R845FXXU1ATFB
ATFB seems wrong/invalid for ITV FOTA update...
Code:
R845FXXU1BTG7/R845FOXA1BTG7/R845FXXU1BTG7
With this... 70 MB Download...
Best Regards
So will I stay forever with initial firmware???? But are Samsung people dumb or do they eat rocks????

Change CSC for OXA country, btu, dbt, aut, wath ever, update OTA and change again For ITV csc
How can I change CSC without losing guarantee or trigger Knox counter?
However, I don't know if in my case, changing CSC could be a solution... Maybe ATFB firmware doesn't trigger the update even if I change CSC to DBT or BTU....

Hi, may i please have some guidance on changing my CSC region code. Thank you very much in advance!
I am unsure what: 1.Combination Firmware + 2. Stock Firmware versions to use, living in Singapore
Can anyone advise me if the following firmwares would work for me (and applying the steps from TechnoProz's youtube video?
-If the following doesnt work, any advice would be appreciated
Combination Firmware
COMBINATION-FT55_R850XXU1AUA3.tar
Stock Firmware
R850XXU1BUAB_Tizen_3File_CSC (OXA)
This is what my watch currently has:
Galaxy Watch3(0FF2)
SM-R850 (Bluetooth Version)
R850XXU1BUD2
SM-R850NZSAKOO
Tizen 5.5.0.2
My objective: Change CSC region code from Korea to Singapore. I bought the watch online form Korea and I live in Singapore.
I would like Samsung Pay and Samsung Health to work in Singapore.
I read this guide & watched this video on the methodology to update firmware and change CSC code.
Features not made available
I'm from Canada, just found out that some features won't be made available to me. So I will not be paying $600 dollars for something that has it's capabilities restricted. I suspect this is beyond Samsung's control, can anyone confirm this...
forum.xda-developers.com
did it work
The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G SM-G781B/DS came with Android 11 and CSC Region Code is INS\INS,INS\INS (India).
When I flase ILO (Israel) Firmware the CSC Region Changed to XSG\XSG,XSG\INS (United Arab Emirates) instead of ILO?
what's going on?
how to get the ILO CSC?
rom archives are multi CSC so what you downloaded for Israel is gonna cover a few countries in the same region. without you having a SIM card from Israel in the phone I'd imagine it's using some other parameters to guess. the frequency bands you're currently using might determine which CSC you get because it's the closest match for example. I'm guessing there but I can't think of another reason right now.
Hi everyone,
I recently bought a Galaxy S20 FE 4G (SM-G780G) in Switzerland. As I am living in France, I inserted my french SIM card, but the phone is still displaying AUT / AUT, AUT / EUY / AUT.
The CSC is AUT (included in EUY group), but I would like to change CSC to XEF (included in EUX group).
It is not really clear for me if this is possible (with Samkey) as the two CSC's are not in the same group. The phone should of course still work 100% after the change and warranty should stay valid.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Yeah you can do that.
Android 12 should roll out soon in our region.. I'm from Germany and use Malaysian firmware, when I flashed I did so without selecting any csc in Odin. And it automatically installed the one I needed I think.
But it will factory reset your phone.
I also installed XME to get Android 12 first. I noticed a worse overall performance though. Are Android 12 ROM running significantly cooler than Android 11 since thermal throttling seems to be an issue to every S20 FE user..? Any CSC that might perform better in this area since some CSCs have regional difference like SER from Russia comes without Bixby?

before you pay out money (I've heard that Samkey told one user our device wasn't supported) maybe the method outlined in this thread is worth a try, but using the pit file from XEF
How to change CSC back to original if you are not able to
So i have a S20Fe exynos and me being impatient installed oneui4 SER version on device thinking that will see whatever happens. I am also developer of Clean OS rom for s20fe so i tried using my csc feature script and it worked flawlessly in SER...

if it doesn't work fully then the same method should be able to return it to AUT if needed.
curious how it works out if you do try it.
Do you guys know what countries uses EUY and EUX?
I've got a new phone and i like to use AUT ROMs but so far all we have are EUY and EUX, not AUT
