I recently bought a Nokia 8 in Vietnam (codenamed ta-004) with the intention of bringing it to South Korea to use with Korean Usim. And it doesnt recognize service at all. Any idea what seems to be the problem and how to make it work?

Hello Guys, let anybody know where i can buy the Note 5 for use in Germany? And which Version? SM-N920..?
Thanks
There won't be Galaxy Note 5 for Germany and rest of Europe.
We already know that so, well most of us.
its unfortunate tho..
Maybe the OP wants to know if there are different versions (e.g. with different LTE bands) or region locks and if he has to look for a special version if he wants to import it?
I want to import the note 5. And i search seller where i can buy. But i dont know which Version.
I Know sm-n920a (AT&T) Has the same lte Bands. Verizon not. And also the language Support... AT ebay i found the note 5 in seoul korea
I don-t understand you.
Samsung is saying you-re less of a person than any other person in the world . They are not interested in your money and it has no worth to them and youre running off to give it to them anyway ?
German logic must be like German humour.
No one gets it .

There is a lock region on the device, you cannot import/export Samsung Phones.
YOu can use the N920i Version (Singapur). It hasn't the region lock and it works with all sim cards.
The South Korean electronics giant hasn't confirmed the release date of the upcoming Note device but it is almost certain that it will be unveiled at the "Unpacked 2015" event to be held at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, New York City, on 13 August. In a shock move, Samsung has announced that the Galaxy Note 5 won't be coming to the UK this year, blaming the lack of release on "marketing reasons."
You need n920A for full compatibility
Hi Everyone,
I have just attempted to purchase a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 SM-N920C from an online shop which advertised the phone as being suitable for use in Australia. The shop does not currently have any stock and has instead offered to sell me the SM-N9200.
Since receiving this news from the shop I have performed some research and have come to realise that the SM-N920C is for Afghanistan rather than Australia (though in all reality it may work fine in Australia!).
My question is "Will the SM-N9200 work fine in Australia?". I am specifically interested in it's suitability for use with the Telstra network; I have two Telstra numbers which I intend on using with the phone - which is the dual SIM variant.
Furthermore given that the phone is from China will it have all of the standard Google functionality, Google Apps, etc. Finally will the interface be in English?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards,
Davo

Hi garyd9,
Thanks for your interest in my post. Unfortunately the Galaxy Note 5 Duos is not yet featured on the Site that you suggested.
Kind Regards,
Davo
Pretty sure the phone supports the correct radio bands for Telstra.

EDIT: If the phone is from China it will NOT have GAPPS installed but if it is from Hong Kong it WILL. Yes you can change to English.
Thank you
Hello there,
It's my first post here. Currently I am using samsung galaxy a3 2017.
I want to buy note 9. There is couple versions available at eglobalcentral and I'm looking for unlocked and eu/uk version.
Currently I'm with three, but dual sim option is tempting since I travel a lot.
Do you know if version n960fd is free of career useless apps and if it will be working fine in Ireland? Lte vise it should be working to my knowledge but I wanted to ask for your advice.
Regards,
Rafal

i know 1800 mhz is Three LTE network, here in the UK as that's the band they purchased for 4G LTE i'm not sure about ireland. Also make sure you get the Exynos as it supports all LTE bands globally same for HSPDA, HSDPA+, 3G Etc,
Also im not sure about sim unlocked as i purchased my note direct from Samsung UK i have to make a full 5 min call in the UK/EU before i can use it in the asian region, or globally as there's a sticker on the box that warns me about that!
i aint sure if one would have to make the call in asia i.e Hong Kong for full 5 mins before it starts to work over here in the UK or in your case ireland,
as eGlobal is based in Hong Kong all is stock is for the Asian market...
i could be wrong i'm sure some XDA user will know the answer!
Hey, bump up on this thread.
I bought the model mentioned in the headline.
I did not try dual sim (or 2nd sim slot) in terms of LTE, but I have received a UK version of the phone from global central. It was 690 with shipping.
Everything works as intended and I'm happy with the device.
Hi guys, I bought a galaxy s10 LTE model in South Korea (SM-G973N) and realized I can not use Samsung Pay with my phone because I live in Canada and the phone would only take Korean credit cards due to different korean/international whatever credit card standard (((
I've been a iphone user for years so apple pay always worked. It sucks samsung pay wont work on my phone but we have android OS which means yall super duper cool dudes can fix stuffs haha.

As long as it is the same model as in you can NOT install an exynos software onto qualcomm hardware
It is already exynos hardware and also software as well.
I just wanna use International Samsung Pay App instead of Korean Samsung Pay on my phone :/
on my note 9 which was a korean variant but has exynos too, I flashed roms based on F/DS exynos and it worked perfectly along w magisk. not sure on the s10 tho.

yes you can, but as said above stick with exynos based firmware. youre also going to likely need the patched version of Odin to flash the unbranded firmware so the 255 errors wont cause Odin to fail
Same problem here, for me its the USA s10 cannot use Samsung pay in Vietnam
Good afternoon,
I appreciate the watch itself will work, but I am wondering about things like Google Pay/Samsung Pay. A few years ago I bought a galaxy watch 3 (pro maybe?) from Amazon which happened to be from UAE, so I couldn't set Samsung Pay up (google pay wasn't available back then).
Thanks!
Hey Carlos,
I can't say for sure that this will work well, Samsung usually makes different kinds of software for different regions which can cause issues like your UAE watch had. I've had a friend who ordered one from Germany and all the Google Pay / Samsung Pay things worked normally. Keep in mind you'll pay an import duty on it.
The only thing that immediately comes to mind is that you will likely not be able to fall back on your warranty in case any issues arise. Also your charger will have an EU plug. I normally get my smartwatch accessories at Smartwatch-Straps.co.uk but they don't seem to have any chargers in stock, sadly.
Kind regards,
David
Good morning,
I bought via Rakuten (marketplace) a Galaxy Watch 5 4G in Spain and I live in France. On reception, I have Eastern European countries but not France. Will I have limitations? Why does this watch, in the EUR/UK version, offer eastern countries but not all western European countries? Is it possible to replace the firmware for a compatible one in France?
Regards,
Romain

Hey Romain, you can change your region perhaps. This is a one-time process though, and you can't revert it. You must first find the EMEI of your watch. this should be in your settings somewhere.
To start the progress:
Open your watch dial pad and enter: " #272*EMEI# " of course use your own EMEI here.
Next you should be able to select your region code. For france this should be XEF.
Hope this helped. Let me know!
Kind regards
