VLC for Android not compatible with our P20 Pro? - Huawei P20 Pro Questions & Answers

I've tried to install VLC but I've got a message telling it isn't compatible with my device... Am I the only one?

It works fine for me, I've had it installed since I first got the device on release day

Works for me without problems

Thanks. What's wrong with my store? I'll try to get it sorted out... but I don't know how...

Nothing is wrong with your store...
With the first rom before 128 update Vlc was avaliable for download through playstore... Now with 128 & 131 isn't available - compatible with our device... You will have to wait for an update of Vlc or download apk from another source except playstore, install it without problem

Wich version do you install please?
Il don.t find the good une.

VLC have blocked selected Huawei phones from downloading the app via play store.
This is due to Huawei's aggressive battery management killing background audio playback leading to 1* reviews from Huawei users who do not understand that it is their phone and not the app causing the issue.

Power Requirements
I had VLC transferred between my old phone and my p20 pro it was already updated but anyway, the amount of music on my phone is sizeable like most and when using the Hauwei media app I found that it simply could open the files. So I tried out with VLC media player and it worked with files supposedly unable to open, however if the phone was on standby the app would be forced shut down.
So those of you using a P20 Pro: Go to your settings, go to your power management section, click on your app you wish to turn off the power management requirements and there you go, VLC is now useable at all times.

Good afternoon,
Can anyone let me know which version of the apk I need to install onto the P20 please? I am looking at all the different versions here

[APK] Asus MyCloud on Motorola Xoom

I heard a few people talking about how they loved their asus cloud so much on their transformer, so I figured I would get it on over so us Xoom owners can actually enjoy it.
I just signed up for it as I was getting the APK on the Xoom, so I haven't really messed with it.
But here it is.

most of the APK files dip into other stuff. For example -- i have been trying to port over the asus kb to the xoom for a while now and it seems it is dipping into the framework-res file for the TF.
which application are you having trouble installing?
Did anybody ever figure out why we couldn't see files uploaded.....
IV player with this as well as others from the transformer before. There is a backend service that needs to run to handle this as well as the other multimedia ones but the important apk doesn't install on the XOOM. Wouldn't be surprised if there are some libs for it too somewhere.

Google Playstore v 3.7.11 (Stripped from Jelly Bean 4.1)

Well, I just updated my Google Playstore app to v 3.7.11. So far, nothing significant changes had been done. Maybe because of my location right now. So, I'm not sure about others.
Anyway, here's the link for the app:

How is it possible to tell if the install worked? I have run the apk, and it says it installed sucessfully, but there I cant really see any difference.
Do I have to put the apk file in a specific location or just run the install?

You can check the version at setting menu in Play Store.
Same as mine. Almost non changes except in Editor's choices UI..
Maybe because of region support. Some will receive like the 3rd post one.

In Free version :
1. You can't send files greater then 5MB
2. You can't have 5 files at server, if you uploaded 5 files, you must download one of them at the other side
to upload a new one.
please write your positive comments at google play store : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nex.sego

you can only sideload xap's which are unsigned (like given here on XDA), the ones from store can only be installed through the store or via SD card. Looks like this one is from the store..

oh shhhhhh....t!!! you right! installing .xap by sdk there is this problem! so any idea to install that player on my Lumia 920? why cant find it on store!??!
It's probably region-restricted. If you change your phone's region to wherever it is published (temporarily), and possibly then restart before checking, you should see the app available in the store.
You can use Germany, it's available here. Or most likely US, most apps that are restrict are restricted to the US.

Cannot download from Play store/ system updates using mobile data

Hello, I'm using the Indian variant of Redmi K20 pro with MIUI 10.3. I don't have a WiFi currently and want to download updates using mobile data. But in both Play store and updater it shows downloading, but nothing is happening. But chrome downloads and YouTube works fine. I have tried things like clearing data for play store, updating play store via apk, resetting my phone, etc etc..
Please help me.

Have done that. Also did the same in updater app. Also changed data limit to 5gb so there is no issue with that. Did all the usual stuff. Still doesn't work. Not only in play store but also in updater app.
