I'm in Korea and bought a P9 (L09-for Korean market).
I was so frustrated cause it stucked on android M (Huawei Korea didnt even care to give it an upgrade to android N) I tried to do it on my own. I followed a number of instructions here on XDA which I had no idea what they are about and whether I did the right thing, I basically unlocked bootloader, debranded the phone, installed custom TWRP and nougat packages. As a result I got android N (B386 probably) on my phone, no keyboard, no fingerprint, and no service when inserting sim. Is my phone bricked? How do I fix it or make it go back to stock android M.

Your phone is not bricked since it still boots...
If you want a keyboard, download the google keyboard apk, transfer it to your phone and install it in file manager.

To rollback to mm, flash this using dload: https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/how-to/rollback-eva-l19-android-7-0-emui-5-0-t3496091

Hello community,
I have actually came across a difficult situation with my Galaxy S3 LTE i9305 (international variant).
In order to give you a high level view of what happened im going to write a few topics of what I have flashed to the phone since I bought it (new) back in March 2012:
1. I'm from Portugal and I bought the phone on an online retailer because I wanted the grey version. So far so good I ordered it on the UK.
2. The phone I received, although being unlocked and sealed/new, had software branding from MDA germany.
3. At the time we were on Android 4.1.2. I went to sammobile and installed the TPH version (Portugal) of 4.1.2 in order to have the full stock experience. Eventually I rooted the device.
4. Later on came the 4.3. At the time I was not aware of the bootloader complications and ended installing the UK or German version (clean) that was on Sammobile. Installation went fine and I immediately rooted the device without issues and disabled Knox in the Rom.
5. Yesterday I had this great idea of flashing 4.4 (still unaware of bootloader issues) and downloaded the spankin new 4.4.4. from the nordic countries from sammobile. This is where it gets interesting.
6. I have tried a zillion combinations and either I get stuck on the samsung logo or I get the error of binary 3 and device 2 (or the other way around). All the flashes via ODIN have been done using the AP/PDA option.
What can I do to unbrick it? I don't remember which ROM I flashed for 4.3 and I have tried to flash the german version of 4.4 (set 2014) and the nordic countries one. Also tried flashing 4.1.2 via CWM recovery directly from SD card but still no go and stuck at bootloop. Have also tried software repair using Kies (manually inserting serial number under the battery) and still no go for my dismay...
Is it recoverable? Is there a way to upgrade it to 4.4? If it helps so far I have been able to fash stuff via ODIN and still have download mode. I dont care about data as I did make a backup before setting off on this "adventure"
Thanks in advance.
Eventually solved using Philz recovery. Turns out that during the flash process for some reason the /data partition could not be formatted.
Now recovered and running the clean 4.4.4. of XDA

Hi, my p9 is south korean version and its cust version is c627 which you possibly might not have seen ever before.
this version is unique because its korean vendor, LG U+ only has 4g, no 3g that it must have VoLTE enabled to make phone calls.
in korean LG U+ eva l09c627b110 firmware , 1. it has LG U+ logo booting animation / 2. letter 'VoLTE' is on 'make call button' /
3. I'm able to make phone calls here in korea (ofcourse using VoLTE) , send SMS
but in order to upgrade to c432 nougat (which I'm regreting so badly) I flashed c432b182 which is a cross flash ended up with build no. c900b182
and in oreder to fix this to c432b182, I flashed c432 eu oem info thru twrp without backupping my own oem info.
now, since I can't make VoLTE calls on any other firmwares, I tried reflashing my korean firmware
(for some reason, I have those files \dload\UPDATE.APP , dload\lgu\kr\update_data_lgu_kr.app)
no matter how many times I factory reset my phone, still 1. LG U+ logo booting animation is not comming back. still eu logo.
2. no 'VoLTE' letter on 'make call button' 3. of course unable to make phone calls or send SMS. no VoLTE settings in menu.
but the build no. is correctly showing c627b110. it seems like it's a mixture of eu and korean firmware. something seems crashed.
and I'm also worried that I changed oem info to eu. now what can I do to fix this? I don't mind using c432 roms if I can't go back to korean
if I can make VoLTE calls.
I'm regretting so hard and it seems I've messed up too seriously. do you guys there's no option other than just getting rid of my phone?
isn't there any method to completely reflash the entire software? (just like newly produced phones getting software installed on it for the first time)
thanks for reading and I'll be desperately looking forward to have an answer. thank you again.

Hi
I had a similar problem in October after messing about. Try the first post on this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/how-to/how-to-change-cust-c900-c432-t3392824. It may help.
I can't find the original solution I used but I remember using SRK Tools and loading all files through Fastboot method (not dload method). I'll try and find the full instructions.
hey
i have EVA-L19 phone witch i bout from amazon, i think its the central america version or something.

im stuck on c900 firmware with no idea what is the correct firmware i need to install and how to do it.

Hi , after my huawei p9 returned from service (broken screen exchange), it started lagging, freezing. So i gave it back to the same service for guarantee . Phone returned after few days with changed software to C900... (I'm from europe) so i gave it back to them to install normal software but they said they can't. So i gave it to another service but they also didn't succeed in installing proper software. Then I've tried to install software on my own but also failed. So my questions are :
- Why phone started lagging and freezing so suddenly?
- Why can't i install normal software?
Thanks in advance.

If you want to change software you need to be specifuc, complete build name you have, like L09 c900 b???
And do you want to go to c432 or some other cust
I'm stuck with EVA-L09C900B182 and after looking on huawei website i should finish with something like : EVA-L09C432B182 or EVA-L09C432B360

With unlocked Bootloader, you can install L09c432b182 by DLOAD method, and then you should receive OTA upgrades up to b399
Wow. Not the same scenario, but let me sum it up. I sent it under warranty to repair shop, where the changed the battery BUT somehow, so it said on the "repair notes", changed the screen (I am not sure, if they broke it when they tried to change the battery or whatever happened.). Now, the phone lags and freezes a lot. What the hell.
Flash oem info for c432 and you will be able to update to the latest version.
Hello everyone !
I had a battery drain issue so I wanted to try and change the software before resorting to a battery change, but now my phone is stuck at L09 C900B300 build and it used to be factory L09C432B504. I tried downloading the full package for 501 but the phone does not want to install it as it was "invalid".
Any ideas how I can force the b501 update on the phone ? It's hard to use ADB since the USB-C port on the phone is very worn out and it only maintains data-transfer in a certain position, if it gets shifted even a little bit it breaks the connection.
Thanks in advance !

You did a rollback and you cannot instal Nougat directly back
You must install c432b182 Marshmallow and then let it update by OTAs (with SIM card) to b50x
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73131443&postcount=321
Steps 4-9 apply to you (since you are already on c900b300)
---
Don't know what does it mean to you that you changed the software
If you rebranded from c432 to another cust, then you must also rebrand back to c432 by flashing its OEMINFO:

NOTE: Just saw you previously asked questions about P9 Lite
Pls be aware, this is Huawei P9 subforum, not for P9 Lite (different hardware, different firmwares)
The answer above with links/guides applies to P9, not to P9 Lite
If your question was for P9 Lite, please better search and ask on XDA P9 Lite subforum
Hey !
Thanks for your reply.
I have tried to follow the steps but I need to have the bootloader unlocked and it is discontinued by huawei, and in order to get the code from DC unlocker I need to invest a certain amount of money (id rather hand the phone over to a professional service and pay them and know that I have a fixed phone).
The other issue of the phone is that I cannot open the manufacturer mode on the phone using *#*#2846579#*#* since it does nothing, and I cannot use the calculator since this software does not have a calculator, it doesn't even have a camera app....
So I have contacted huawei support in hopes of getting the bootloader code but I do not hope for too much at this point. What are my other options at this point of handling this on my own ?
Looking forward to your response !

AFAIK, 'certain amount of money' for Bootloader code from DC Unlocker is only 4 Euros
If you search on XDA (various phones, just about Bootloader unlocking) you may find more online services (several months ago I've seen in some post), but they were more expensive
IMO, you don't need unlocked Bootloader if you are just following the first link, for dload-ing c432b182 without flashing oeminfo....
Update:
Okay the b182 package does not require unlocked bootloader which is great, it took the update and started going up all the way to b395 but it stopped there, no further OTA updates... It is okay to use at this point but I'm still curious to know if there is a way to get to it to update to the b50x version. I did try to use the small update for the b501 but the phone declined it.
Still thank you very much for guiding me through this ! This is a huge weight off my shoulders !

In Firmware Finder they have a new method based on eRecovery and changing the DNS server on your local WLAN AP
b50x must be showing as Approved to you for that method
It does not require Bootloader unlocked but no guarantee it would work (I tried with P9 rebranded to AL10 Oreo, managed to change DNS server address, eRecovery connected to but failed to update firmware that way)
There HWOTA method (in few variants) to install FullOTA-MF from Firmware Finder, but unlocked Bootloader is required
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75787156&postcount=3
Btw, if you ever unlocked Bootloader on that phone, just use the same code again (one must save always save the code for future needs)
As of recently there are some Huawei service firmware installations available, that also install by dload (not needed to have Bootloader unlocked)

When you download, you will need to unzip
Find Docs and Software subfolders (you may need to untar and unzip Software subfolder again)
In Docs folder there must be Huawei official guide how to install, check if it describes dload method (and what must be un-archived and copied to SD card dload folder from the Software subfloder)
I didn't use it for L09c432 but I successfully unbricked a P9 rebranded to AL10c00 (back to AL10c00 firmware) by such a package, really easy by dload, just by following their HowTo doc from the Docs subfolder
