when u take photos with standard mode, can i extract / switch to monochrome without change the mode to monochrome at the setting?
or i have to choose monochrome in order to get the best monochrome photo?
does it take both color and monochrome at the same time?
thanks
You have to choose monochrome mode first, in color mode only color photo is taken.
Hi Everyone,
These days phones with bokeh or portrait mode doesn't zoom in the picture but when we enable Nokia camera in bokeh mode, it zooms in as compared to regular mode. Anyway to disable the zoom in bokeh mode in Nokia camera?

I think it's just how the live bokeh works. The phone uses the telephoto lens as the main camera capturing images, and the normal lens as secondary camera capturing depth. Correct me if I'm wrong
I am looking for a way to be able to adjust both shutter speed and Aperture. Unfortunately cannot seem to find such option anywhere.
I wonder why there is no aperture setting in Manual Mode and then, in Aperture Mode - there is no shutter speed setting....?!
Am I missing something?
Is there any third party camera application that can do that for me?
I would like to be able to take long exposure night pictures with settings - F16, S = 8 seconds, ISO100 (or lower).
Thanks!
Aperture mode isn't true aperture mode, it's just applying software effects to simulate changes in aperture.
Specs:
40MP RGB 1/1.7in type sensor, f/1.8 aperture
20MP monochrome, f/1.6 aperture
8MP 3x zoom, f/2.4 aperture
Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) for all
24MP front camera, f/2.0 aperture
Laser autofocus and colour temperature sensor

Thank you! That is pitty...
Like we already know, Portrait Mode there are an option on the Bokeh, but why Never Success on me?
How to fix this?
The results still the same as standard Portrait Mode

Any update about this issues?
My experience is that portrait mode works when it can find a face looking at the camera. The software seems to get confused on the subject when that isn't present. Your two examples are profiles, which I suspect is the problem.
For these shots, use aperture mode.
That I mean the effect, why doesn't work?

What effect do you mean? Portrait mode is meant to be used with a proper distance from the subject and its background for isolation
I'm not following what you mean either. Aperture mode does the same effect with subject isolation but when a face is not present. Portrait mode is looking for a face because it does a beauty effect as well as background blur. Aperture mode is the same effect. Try it at a low number and you'll see.
I think he means the bokeh "lights" effect. You need little lights behind the subject to create that effect. The different bokeh effects on portrait mode just change what shape the lights will be.
Why is it not possible to manual choose what lens to use in pro mode?
I want to use the 2 telephoto lenses in pro mode so I can get raw format photos, but can only use the main and ultra wide sensor? Any workaround?
And sometimes in auto the phone "forgets" to change to the telephoto when zooming and just digitally zooms in? And I know you cant use the telephoto in 108 mp mode.
I love the zoom capabilities, but I want more control
