1. Wrong place to post this.
2. ROM preference is kind of a personal thing. Try them it to find one that best suits you.
You could go With Tesla for speed, battery life is around 11hrs with greenify and fusion 6.0 for battery life (1day with greenify) , performance is good no lag. .. I use the former as primary rom and latter as secondary because of it's battery life , as I give priority to performance than battery life... I've used cm 12.1, pacman, prudroid, blisspop, paranoid, resurrection remix, ... And I found the above said 2 roms the best, personal choice. .
having tried Cm12.1 , stock 5.0.2 , titan , slim LP and loads of others - I'm currently using nexus experience rom all i can say, its the only custom rom i've kept for more than 2days -- NOT saying others are no good-- just I personally like this one.

most stable rom
CM 12.1 snapshot version

Hope you enjoy it here.
look no further!
I strongly recommentd, Blisspop. BlissPop-v4.0.3-titan-OFFICIAL-20151007-0743
Blisspop has features but bad ram management.. ..
Fusion, Exodus or crDroid
I'm using blisspop with spirit kernel.
Its giving 4 hrs of SOT. Any other ROM which can give more SOT? I'm a heavy user so I need to charge it twice.. Which ROM is best for SOT? Fusion or nexus experience or any else?

Try ViperOs
i ask about which is the best rom from both ? specifically for battery
my using is : facebook and whatsapp .
battery life:cm13>los 14.1
smooth:los 14.1>>>cm13
I used sultan cm13 last week without problems ..shifted to nougat & flashed sultan cm13 again. Everything works gr8 but when I share photos through WhatsApp the device restarts . Can anyone provide the firmware link (not the 1.4 GB)
Specifically for "Battery" ? Use stock ROM.
I installed both tried both, If you are looking for battery , more specifically screen on time, then go for official OS. Official Nougat 4.1.3 gives me 5-8 hours screen on time, depending on use. Sultan ROM lineage 14.1 sometimes heats up, battery backup seems 4-6 hours merely.

Must be something you're doing wrong. I've got as high as 10 hours SOT, and definitely over 6 hours "all the time". I have literally stopped using custom roms in the long run since I experienced OOS. Yes I hop on to different roms to test, but so far nothing beats OOS in terms of battery life, smoothness and definitely no bugs.
About sultan rom, dude, I don't know when the hype will finally be laid to rest. I have no clue if the fanboys ever actually "'compared" it extensively. I've done extensive tests long time back with my OnePlus one, and all I found that it's just a plain old hype, made a big comment in boeffla kernel thread back in the OPO days and even Andi agrees to the hype. Haven't tested lately, so it will be unfair if I judge on how good or bad the ROM is for OP3T, but I sure know what to expect. Get down of the hype train, test for yourself in different usage patterns. SOT isn't everything of course. Your usage determines it.

Guys, battery is not everything, the thing is you get it be test by your self with your app install, finally Satisfy rom art.
Thread closed due to maintain issue.
Use MIUI for better battery backup, your can use f2fs with Gabriel kernel in MIUI too.
Edit Feb 13, use these in build.prop, best for power saving at standby mode:
ro.ril.disable.power.collapse=0
pm.sleep_mode=1
Important notice:
If you have android assistant, close all background apps and check the CPU graph in the android assistant app. Wait for the cool down of CPUs. Then move your phone(like waving). You can see CPU starts at 2-3 sometimes 5 percent. In miui, I didn't have such CPU uses while moving my phone. I think this is also a cause of idle battery drain(sensors drain). Please all Devs, look at that problem even if you don't have that problem. Some users are facing this issue(or all?).
...
Hi. I've experienced serious battery drain on both Resurrection Remix, latest build of Nik001 and Luis Build with stock and custom kernel- Clarity. Many of us also experiencing this issue. It drains 5-7 percent per 7-8 hours to me. Using Greenify, Amplify caused me more battery drain! Now, I had found some fixes, but now problem appears like strangers. I don't know which fix solved my battery drain problem. Just test and you may find yours.
If you are having same problem like me, you can try and if doesn't work for you, I'm not responsible. Try these fix with no battery saving app(like greenify), and disabling the D2W. I've not tested with d2w enabled...
Method 1(settings restores automatically, I don't know why):
Doze Setting Editor thread-
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/root-doze-settings-editor-android-t3235130
Just set a profile from the app within and save...
Edit: Note: After a reboot, you have to set the settings again...
Method 2:
Go back to original kernel, just flash boot.img in TWRP extracting from the ROM. Don't forget to install Magisk again if you are using it.
Use Naptime for better doze improvement...
Playstore link
Method 3:
Flash other firmwares. First use the latest build, if battery drain continues in idle mode, flash previous builds, you can try stable ROMs firmwares.
Method 4:
Install other kernels(you can use Gabriel's). It seems much stable in standby mode, with some more features, tested. But same battery drain(though 1 percent less than previous .)
Kernel Thread
On Oreo, you can use LH Kernel or if you have issues, then use Anonymous 3.0(this is not available in XDA).
Method 5:
Clean cache of all apps through titanium backup. Avoid restoring app+data through titanium backup.
Method 6:
Flash other ROMs.
Others:
Copy these in build.prop. I don't know if they are needed. I took it from a website(thanks to him).
#Hardware_Power_Saving
ro.config.hw_power_saving=true
#Sensor_Sleep_Control
ro.ril.sensor.sleep.control=1

Got this issue. I first tried pixel experience (Oreo) and the battery performance was terrible. Then RR (Oreo), same result. In airplane mode the drain was about 2%/hour.
I finally tried DotOs on Nougat base and work as aspected, with battery drain in idle near to 1%/night. The issue seems oreo-related but I don't understand why some device has it and other not.

Yes. I miss xMIUI, the development is not forwarded. We should pray to have an Oreo MIUI for our device.
Battery drain for me is not that high on pixel experience all though it is still teribble compared to MIUI. I tried using clarity kernel + firmware 32 + Universal Doze in magisk. MIUI is good at battery but terrible at customization. Can anyone recommend another custom ROM that has almost stock battery performance?

While I was using RR, I used firmware 32_PA and 33.
Stock kernel was/is based on Clarity. But even without modifications, everything was fine to me.
Now I'm on MIUI, using firmware 35 with Gabriel kernel. So can't tell much about RR.

I've heard good/bad things about both of them. I've used xiaomi.eu on my former RN5pro and was very happy however if the experience is better with revolution OS I would give it a try (regarding battery/performance/bugs etc.)
Thanks guys! Have a great day :highfive:
I am also interested in this topic. I used Xiaomi.eu on my MI MIX3 and now I have to switch to MI9 and I am not sure, whether to use Xiaomi.eu or Revolution OS.
I did not test Xiaomi.EU, but from what I read RevOS is the same with more debloat and better battery life. The negative aspect is you get less frequent updates than with Xiaomi.EU, so it could be that with Xiaomi.EU you get new features and bug fixes more quickly, but then again there are only very few little bugs on RevOS so I think it's not much of a problem tbh.
I'm currently on RevolutionOS with Magisk and PocoLauncher and I'm really happy with it, but of course when the first stable AOSP based Roms with working camera will come out, I'll switch to that very quick haha

Great! Honestly I've never updated my phone anyway (since I've debloatet/modded it completely and didn't want to do the hustle again). If it offers the same/more features like xiaomi.eu + no frequent updates (since never thouch a running system) I think I'm giving it a go (after the 15 days wait period
Thanks again for your great reply! :victory::good:
In my opinion RevolutionOS battery life is better than EU . Idle time last night using RevolutionOS was about 3% in 8 hours while with EU rom was 10-13%.
RevOs for sure. I have tried Flokorom (GSI), Xiaomi.eu, and RevOs and I keep coming back to Rev. I get the best battery life by far with it, especially stand by time.

Actually, yes. I forgot to mention these results are with the XASP Patch. I am not sure how much that patch contributes to battery, but the combination of RevOs and the XASP are the best things to flash on the Mi 9 right now. I used GSI roms and will I like the minimal OS it just felt a big buggy and not able to fully utilize the hardware yet. Don't use any extra mods/apps like L speed mod or Greenify, I havent found them to be useful (on MIUI at least) and can got better battery without.

Battery life on ROS wasn't much better on other Xiaomi phones in my experience. But on my Mi 9 I had far better standby time on ROS compared to Xiaomi.eu and Global EEA.
Now on another thread I just saw this rom called "mi-globe" : https://mi-globe.com/rom-builder/
You can basically pre-customize things like if magisk is preinstalled etc before downloading the rom. How is that one compared to RevOS and Xiaomi.eu ?
But from what I saw it's not much different, and I still think battery life will be better on RevOS.
One more question (since so many of them exist already): which type of TWRP did you use for flashing Revolution OS? Thanks!

I think the fiirst time I flashed it, it was with an old version of randomblame's one. But now I saw in the thread that there are problems flashing with the new one.
On the chinese TWRP it doesn't work for me.
Second time I flashed it with an older version of mauronofrio's TWRP (3.3.1-4 because there was a bug with the new version too), but now the bug is fixed on his version and siankatabg's version.
So I recommend you to use the latest versions of either mauronofrio or siankatabg's twrp, since they both support decryption now too. :good:
On the latest update of revolution os, I noticed my battery and network speed icon is white and can't be seen properly as compared to time and network bar which is showing with black color. How do I solve this?
Dead topic?

Note: I voted for Xiaomi.eu but not because it's the best (I don't really know, I'm just stuck with it for the time being on account of a touch panel incompatibility with other custom ROMs). Welp, depends on my usage. I would say if i power through YouTube i can get like 5-6hours. Depending on brightness. Also the battery degraded a bit. I'm not a heavy user, so at the end of the day im usually at 40% at least.
I don't get that much battery from 60hz. I think the biggest thing is all black mode apps and automatic brightness.
I also have days when it's rly bad, and the battery is ****, have to charge it mid-day. But that's happening less often
