Songs By Folder ? (App)

Hi,
I know the answer to this question is probably NO . But what the hell, I will ask it anyway !
Is there ANY software for android that plays music by folder and not by album (I hate this soooo much !) I have no idea why all music apps are now only playing music by album and not by physical folder on the sdcard. Its soo stupid and annoying! IMHO.
Fingers Crossed ......
Why not just make playlists by folder?
Could you elaborate on that ? As far as I know I can only create playlists from songs.
And anyway, the thing is, I keep updating my songs frequently and its mostly singles. So I want to be able to just throw my music into different folders, the way i have it in my computer and just play from those folders!
Like the good old MP3 players.........not the iPod which was one of the first ****ty players to take off this option :S
my music player will sort by date added to the phone. (Musicflow)
it uses the database from android.provider to populate the list.
http://developer.android.com/reference/android/provider/MediaStore.Audio.AudioColumns.html
there is a list of all the tings you can sort by if you use this database, otherwise you need to write your own code find all the songs and put them in a list.
Yes, there is. Try MediaByPath
Hi Andrew,
Thanks alot for your help mate !! I looked it up on androidlib and it seems to be EXACTLY what im looking for. But somehow its not showing up in the android marketplace. I have contacted the developer, so hopefully he will get this resolved.
But thanks again mate!! I reallyyyy appreciate it
Meridian will also play songs by folder using it's "browse" function.
Yep Meridian worked Thnx a million mate !! Happy Holidays!

[Q] Sound and Music Player on Galaxy S I9000

Hello everybody!
I'm using SGS GB 2.3.6
My problem is that every time I copy new file to the microSD card, after scanning the phone, the stock player does not recognizes which file is added recently and which is not, so each time everything is messed up and I'm browsing the folders for the files that I've just added and I'm playing them using the Sound player. When I sort the files by date, everything is messed up in the Music player after the phone scan.
I was wondering how to make the Sound player in Galaxy S I9000 running as a background process just like the Music player is developed.
I have tried both free and paid players but I don't liked their designs and functionality as far as I really like the simplicity of the stock SGS player.
How do you manage to browse your recently added files through the stock Music Player in Galaxy S I9000?
I'd really appreciate your help if someone help me to fix that?

Hey,
In the stock music player, under playlists there should be one named "Recently Added"

Thank you for the answer!
Yes there is such an option, but the problem is that I couldn't sort the files by this criteria.
When I copy some music files to the card or phone memory, after the media scan, all the files are completely messed up and recently added are all of my files I have, which are added long time ago, you know, instead of 2-3 recently added files I have e.g. 200 'new' + 2-3 (really new)...

I believe its supposed to do that. The Recently Added playlist displays all your music, just sorted by the time it was added to your SD. So your new songs will obviously be at the top, and everything else will be at the bottom as you go down.
If you're talking about the songs not being sorted by time however, I'm not quite sure. I have had that happen where albums I added two years ago were suddenly near the top of the list- it might be a bug or something.

[Q] Playlist Rearrangement

Hi I recently got the Mi 5, absolutely loving it. However, I can't seem to find a way to rearrange songs in a playlist in the stock music app.
Anyone has a solution to this? Thanks

Stock Music Player doesn't work.

Hi all, sorry for my bad English. I have a problem with my Huawei p9 that is arrived yesterday. When I try to play a music with a stock music player, after a little time it no longer feel and if I open music player, I see that the song is advanced alone (if I start music and after 30 seconds don't hear anything, open music player and song are at 2:50min for example) and if I want to listen another song I must to restart song o scroll another song). This happens with any songs but only with stock player. I have already tested to download stock aplomb of miui 4.0 but nothing. With Google play music all are ok. Can give me a solution? Model L09C02B127. I have already updated. Please help me

I have flac on my P9 and no issues but I always check and retag after I rip or download my music as in the past I had issues with art appearing fine on my PC but missing on iPods, phones etc.
I use MP3tag to do this but plenty of other programs can do it too...
I recently switched to flac and notice the tag name in mp3tag is listed as flac whereas in mp3 it is using id3.
Once tags are correct everything should work.

Do you know how check if tags are correct? If tags are wrong how to fix them?
Download a tag program such as mp3tag or media monkey.
Plenty of programs can either auto tag for you or let you manually tag.
I did a lot manually using mp3tag because they were ripped with Windows media player over the years and artwork didn't always work.
