What do you mean by "I edit a while"? Do you have access to GCam's settings or what? Thank you
I got the same problem just a black screen

Alright i made it work as well, if you having the black screen press the home button, open another app (eg WhatsApp) and then go back to the gcam

I tried everything, but it just crashes. I even tried deleting the app's data.
This helped for me. Try to hold on the app and run one of the function: "Make selfie" or "Record the video" after that camera will work, but sometimes when i launch camera on the common mode, i have a black screen again.
How good is it? Care to share some side-by-side photos? (stock -> google camera)?
Does it enable cameraapi2?
Thanks in advance

In the other thread there are several comparison pics. I doubt you can get it working without canera2 api which needs root to enable. Without HDR+, whats the point of having gcam?

camera 2 api doesnt need root. just needs an unlocked bootloader. I would be better if we spam tweets to mi to unlock camera 2 api with next update as nokia 6.1 plus has it enabled out of the box.

Would be great to have. Also with a change of the raw image mode to get rid of focus dots as well.

While playing movies, for example, I want to capture the screen as a still picture. Same goes for a piece of info that I see on the webpage, etc.
In the iPhone environment, users could just press the power and home button simultaneously to capture it as a photo.
Is there anything like that on Android?
I only know one way and that requires root , then download app from market "Shootme"

Thanks for the info. Do you then assign a hardware button to do the capture? No problem capturing a movie while it is playing?

"Shootme" works by shacking phone left and right , i did not try capturing a movie but it should work it captures everything else on screen, there are more apps in market capable capturing screenshots , they all need root to best of my knowledge.

Shaking is a good way, as long as the orientation is not upset by it I guess.
Having go root the phone is a pity. Does anyone know of a non-root solution?

I dont have root either and i looked for screenshoot app as well, but i wasnt able to find any..
-TB-
It's due to Android's security settings that root is required to take screenshots.
No other way around it for now.
Read this thread, in the first post there is a link on how to take screenshots through the android SDK:
The screenshot thread
Wow, does it have to be this complicated just to capture screen?

Just wait for 2.2 if you don't want to root, since it will allow you to take a screenshot with .. I think it was the back-button and home-button.

You can disable the Stock one and use the thirdparty one you have installed.
You can not open the camere with the camera button when you have multiple camera apps installed.
Atleast I cant.

My mate 10 have root and any issues at all?
I would say that i have no problem at all.
Themes issue can be fixed easily. And the rest is just working as it is.
But then am the one who put the guide on how to root, so you might not believe me, LoL

Confirmed, it doesn't work.
Now I can't even take normal pics w/ front camera? Does anybody know a way to unroot without data loss?
Edit: A reboot solved the issue (normal selfie)
What about titanium backup? Dodd anyone use it to restore app data?
Hi Mate,
I use an old Note 9 (N960US) with Android version 8.1.0 and it can take live focus video, which is the most function that my wife love.
So I buy her a new one (N960NK) with Android version 9.0 and OneUI 1.0.
Everything should be ok until she found out that function has gone away.
(image 2)
Why Samsung remove that function from camera app and how could I get it back?
Google that function will be live focus video beside photo / video / live focus function
(image 3)
Very appreciate any advice!!!
P/s: for more information there is no more button or mode that can choose to set up
On One UI 2.0 I have that option. It is found when I go to "more" under the options near the bottom of the screen.

Hello everyone, can someone help in disabling the rear display completely, as some banking apps detect as the screen is being casted or screen is being recorded and they dont work(problem in miui 13) miui 12.5 was working fine
There is an app You can debloat to disable it i believe. Either disable this app or remove. Sorry for not providing the name
If someone can help with which specific app needs to be uninstalled it would be really helpful
I guess it's "Rear display 1.4.6" (/system/app/MiSubScreenUi/MiSubScreenUi.apk)

On GSI rom screen was directly being casted on rear display without any settings either to enable or disable, also read some threads where other users are also facing the issue..
