I was looking around in my camera settings on my Nokia 8 but couldn't find a 1080p 60fps option which surprises me since 4k 60 is available. I downloaded the Google camera port and tried it on there too but the video is zoomed in dramatically.
The spec sheet on GSMarena doesnt say 1080 60 either.
Is this a bug or does Nokia not want this phone to have 1080p 60fps? If there is a solution I'd really like to know!
Thanks.

You should try GCam but for this you should download this APK:
https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/f/GoogleCamera-Pixel2Mod-Arnova8G2-V8.2.apk
-Install APK File
-Open the app then go to video settings.
-Disable image stablizer and close the app.
-Open the app again and switch video recording.
-There should be box called 30 top of the screen, tap it.
-Select 60.
You can look at this link more detail:

(Note: I assume your default video recording mode is 1080P).

ok first this it not my work.
thanks to RubberBigPepper for his great work. for download link, go to original thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1677645
but the thing i want to share here, it is very simple, but its VERY GREAT.
this camera help us to recording video at resolution 640.480 most camera app, from stock camera to apps from store, or porting..only can record at max res 320.240
but with this camera app, we can really record at 640.480
for this, just install camera normally.then go to camcoder, setting:
scene mode: action
video resolution: 640.480 (higher is not supported)
video encoder: mpeg4
video file format: mpeg4
video bitrate:5Mbit
other is default.then exit apps. open it again (u need to do it because it still in beta and have bug)
now u can record, then open in your computer.u can see, resolution it 640.480, video it much more better and detail
the only problem is framerate only 10, while with stock we have 15.but i think because this does not have right config for mini (same as miui camera.it only can record at res 320.240 with framerate 10 )
notice, this app still in dev so it may have bugs.but the important thing i want to share you and hope devs hack it, its that our mini can record video at higher resolution, and if anyone can make the framerate more than 15, this would be very great
devs, please looking for this!
Very Good
Has many options for camera and camcorder!

Already knew that...
But I can record at 30 fps
so what is negative effect from "framerate only 10" ?
I don't understand about resolution, or fps etc
can someone give an explanation?

how can? or you using cm rom?
im using emanoN now...it can not record more than 10fps.
Hey guys! Did you try this app with a Gingerbread stock ROM?
No replies??
There are at least two very important things for me, and that would be an excellent improvement to the user experience of this phone.
The first is can use MiraVision. This is a great improvement to the image quality.
The software comes preinstalled !!! at least in the weekly version 5.11.26 and 5.12.3 ...
Now you can be activated, and it is magnificent !!! but the settings can not be saved.
When turning off the display, it returns to the default setting.
The second is be able to record video at normal speed, at least at 60FPS. Helio x10 can do that and much more, and the image sensor too, the software why not?
If we succeed in this, the phone would win many positive points.
Anyone wants help me?
Of course you can't save the settings, miui have a stock screen management

Well ... Now you can record video in HD at 60FPS (or more)
The solution is here
But we need help to make it work the "slow motion".
We need the name of the tag for this mode.
You know if it's possible to use clear motion in CM?
That feature is really amazing..

+1 can someone test that?
60 FPS camera
Simply MIUI lacks media_profiles.xml, that usually is included in every Android version in /system/etc
This file is read from multimedia apps in order to get phone's capabilities with camcorder.
If you insert that file in MIUI the stock camera app will read it and the camcorder fps drop will be bypassed. The camera will record at 60fps also in low light condition! Actually file works fine, in fact it will put the exposure at a low level in order to get best fps performance. But it isn't so optimized and the Spanish team is working on it. You can download the file from https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1jCoBYPR8eGbVVXZkM1V2VBdUk/view?usp=sharing
You have to set permission to 644 RW R R
Slow motion will not work for now. But it's great that at least we will have a perfect camera fps for now (720p 60fps and 1080p 46fps).
The question is, why if the hardware of our phone is so powerful Xiaomi made a rom that actually doesn't reflect this powerfulness??
For cyanogenmod we don't have anything right....?
Superb job!

Hi. gsmarena and wikipedia state this phone is capable of 1080p at 30 and 60 fps and also 720p at 120fps. Is it an error? I can't find it in the video settings. I'm on MM 6.0.
Thanks!

120 fps Video is now handled within a Camera App called Timeshift Video.
To access it swipe right in your camera window, if not installed add the camera app from Google play store.

Hello,
I have noticed when I use the youtube app to upload videos, the video quality changes to 480p whenever the video is uploaded. I have tried setting the camera app to 1080p 60fps and UHD and changing the settings for upload quality in the youtube app, neither helped. This happens when uploading on either wifi or mobile data. Anyone knows whats going on?
Thanks
The issue you're having is solved in the YouTube app. Click on your profile picture in the top right hand corner then the settings option, next choose general and then upload quality. Choose original and what ever resolution you recorded in will be how it is uploaded. Hope this helps mate

i have tried that, it doesn't solve the issue
It is definitely related to the youtube app. No idea how to fix it. What I have noticed is when I watch an uploaded video using any mobile device via youtube app, then the video is in 480p quality, but if i use my PC to watch it, then the video is in the original quality that it was recorded in. Whats going on here?
Same problem
I have same problem. But video quality is 480p even on computer. I uploaded one video more than week ago and it is ok. Three more videos in last 3 days show only in 480p. Backup to google photos is in 1080p.
So problem is only with videos in portrait mode. In landscape it is uploaded in 1080p. I try upload same video to vimeo and it shows 1080p on PC, but quality in android app is lower (i don't see in app setting button to change it).
Just got updated to pie last night. This morning while I was testing camera settings, I noticed that video stabilization is missing in the default camera app settings. in Oreo, I can stabilize videos (except 4k and 16:9), but now, it's simply missing. And test shots confirmed that there is no stabilization (optical or what so ever) anymore. That just sucks. It was very useful to take videos of my kids playing while running after them. Now without it, all the videos gonna be garbage.
Any idea how to fix it? or just simply accept it as it is?
You've got stabilisation in 1080P FHD enabled by default. There is no option for stabilisation because it's enabled by default in supported resolutions.

Which makes is quite useless for pro use with a gimbal or other situations where you want stabilisation off. Great camera hardware by Sony, lousy software to control it by Huawei.
When you dont want ois and want use gimbal, then use another resolution
4k example

This was my thought too at first. Then I tried Full-HD 30 FPS with my gimbal and it works fine! Also FHD 60FPS and 4K work too, as expected.

? Not doable due to after processing constraints.
I'm still on Oreo, I just extracted the Huawei Camera APK with APK Extractor Lite. Can someone on Android Pie try to install the old camera apk (if installing is successful) and look if stabilisation is working again?
https://www.dropbox.com/s/v8cdsjdv2hm2rir/Kamera_com.huawei.camera_80000302_8.0.0.302_.apk?dl=0
Ois works for 1080p 30 fps / 16:9 only.
It works in:
- 720p 30fps
- 1080p 30fps (both 16:9 and 18:9)
There is a workaround, if you want to shut it off. Go to video mode ( not pro mode), turn on beautification. The OIS stopped working, but you're stuck at 720p 30fps.

I think it is the EIS (software stabilization) because the OIS is built into the lens, it seems to work in all resolutions.
The EIS crops the video a bit, and tries to reframe it to cancel harsh movement. But it compensates (in my P10 phone at least, which model seems also affected with the bug) to wrong direction turned 90 degree. If You move up-down, it compensates left-right for me, causing more fake shake recorded.
Hello! So reading this feed, it sounds as though the stabilisation is still working for the Huawei P20 Pro cam, but just the option to turn this on and off has recently disappeared. Weird. Why would Huawei do this? Is the stabilisation definitely still working on all resolutions barring 40? My eyes suggest otherwise.
