Yes! I have tried beta versions too!
@david pro, if you're running stock ROM it can take a really long time to boot after installing Xposed. Sometimes up to ten minutes. One might think it's in a loop but just wait it out.
Plus you really need to include more information. Exactly which Xposed package are you trying. System or systemless, Flashed manually or tried to install via the app. Magisk or SuperSU. Which ROM. Makes it easier for folks to help if you provide everything up front. Reduces back and forth Q&A or guessing.

I have Xtended ROM 8.1 ARM64 installed, I have tried several different ports for oreo and all force close on startup. Camera2Api is enabled. I have tried restarting, wiping cache and clearing data. Nothing works. Only ports designed for nougat seem to work.
The camera has worked for me, when flashed along with the ROM. Doesn't fare too well after the fact. Conflicts of some sort.
I use the camera from below...

Thanks but still no luck
This is the error I always get when camera is started.
I've been using the twr64 bit ..after the pie roms release ...I've been thinking of trying the pie roms ....so I've installed 64 bit multirom .....but everytime I add a ROM ...errors show up....and even the primary ROM is stuck on a black screen ...so I reverted back to twrp .........is it me....or does everyone have the issue .....if not ...please gimme a link for its download ...thanks in advance ....:good:
@Surya Guduru, a couple of things you need to know. I assume you've been to the MultiROM thread and read the last message. Support for MultiROM has ended. Most Oreo ROMs released since about July have an early system mount "feature" making them incompatible (crashes MultiROM on boot).
It's safe to assume that Pie definitely won't work for a number of reasons. To use MultiROM you also need MultiROM-TWRP, of course. It's version 3.1.1 from December 2017. Pie wasn't around then. That TWRP doesn't have the features needed for Pie, like treble/vendor stuff. Safe to say you're out of luck. Everyone doesn't have the issue because no one is trying to multiboot Pie.
I'm a multibooter at heart. My Moto has seven ROMs installed, none of them the latest, ofc. Not a problem for me.

So basically u r saying is ......Multirom will not be updated for Pie ...... Right ...

Not updated for Pie. Not updated for the latest or most recent Oreos. I asked if you had been to the MultiROM thread and read the last message. Seems you have not. Support and further development for this device has ended.

Thanks.

For custom ROMs it's easy peasy. I use and recommend the UNITY package. Handles system or systemless. Has worked without issue on all ROMs I run. See link below. If by chance you do have problems with it just flash the installer again as it also acts as an uninstaller. Or remove it via Magisk Manager (I don't use Magisk so...).
Xposed on stock Oreo, though, may be a no go. Moto users in the Xposed Oreo thread seem to be having no luck it seems.

99% function but 1% not. Stock is best but if you're bored, back up with TWRP and try GSI
descendant rom works great... No issues on my side... all the gestures that comes with the rom made me forget about Moto actions..not to long i Installed "Dolby" it made me forget about going back to stock... Battery wise is almost like stock, the first day flashing the rom was ok, after a week of using it's pretty good...

Unofficial TWRP works for Gapps. Official TWRP doesn't. It's been broken for 6 months
Currently on Moto g6 stock Android 9.0. Is it not possible to flash after rooting on pie ? Also is the ROM daily driver material ? Does VOLTE work also ?

Most GSI requires Oreo base. Since u have PIE, you're limited to phh AOSP v108, Octopus latest, AEX official, Descendant 1.5 or 2.1 made by the Real John Galt avail. on Telegram for G6 (2.0 needs Oreo). VOLTE generally doesn't work on GSI--just 4G. If u need VOLTE, stay on stock Oreo or PIE. RR7 disallows SD card (int/ext) access but works on PIE base

HueyT. Have tried just about every possible way of installing RR on Moto G6. The last attempt was to completely wipe phone(format, and all directories deleted.). Flashed AOSP 9 PHH treble. It booted properly. Completed "basic setup" then after brought to home screen, powered down. Rebooted into FastBoot. Dirty flashed RR 9 from official download site, and it never passes boot screen. Have left the device for over 30 minutes. Any help would be appreciated!

RR7 has broken SD card (int/ext) access so can't download anything or any apps or take any photos. Thus, get Oreo vendors and flash RR6.1 and be done with it

There are several GSI's flashable off of PIE vendors: pHH AOSP v111, Descendant AOSP v2.1 (John Galt has customized it to G6 on our Telegram group with Gapps built-in, but GSI vanilla version listed here will work also), AEX official 6.1, Octopus 11/18, PixelExperience 8/2018 version, LOS16, DotOS and Syberia by Nfound on Android File Host) are those that I can cofirm work on PIE vendors.
The other GSI's are best installed on top of stock Oreo vendors.
Most GSIs, VOLTE does NOT work (just 4G data) and PLAY Store is NOT certified (except John Galt's version as it's customized for our G6). Most Play Store needs Device ID apk to get GSF value to manually register your phone before Play store will work.
I think i've done it before when i was in android 7.0, but right now i'm on 8.1 and every time i try to install the v90-sdk27 i get the message "xposed isn't compatible with your android sdk 27 or the architecture of your processor armeabi-v7a)
Anything i can do to solve it?

You don't say which version of the zip you tried, arm or arm64.
Maybe try the installer below. It does a good job of detecting architecture, root method, etc.
