I am a Google Assistant user and absolutely hate Bixby, especially that damn button! So I figured out a way to totally disable it, including the button.
1. Download Package Disabler Pro from the Play Store
2. Open it up and do a search for "Bixby"
3. Put a check mark in every box that has the word "Bixby" in it.
4. Reboot phone.
5. No more Bixby and it deactivates the button.

You don't need Bixby for that... you can do all of that through Google Assistant

You could also try this:

Just be mindful if you hide/disable/uninstall a system app doing this, you can't bring it back unless you do a factory reset.

Then why would you suggest this approach? This is way too risky for me. At least with Package Disabler Pro you can always re-enable things if you need to.

Maybe do a Google search for Samsung/Oreo bloatware. There is also an option in the app to disable all bloatware, but that's too general for me.

Some may consider the app Package Disabler Pro "bloat" when you can use ADB to remove/disable items that you know w/certainty you will not use/need.
I'm not in that camp, but, others may be,or,just don't want to cough up the cost of the app.
I definitely plan on using Package Disabler Pro,for the very reason you stated, ease of re-enabling w/o a factory reset.
If the Bixby button is a problem. You can remap it to use Google Assistant with bxActions. Worked for me on my SGS8+
Skickat från min SM-G955F via Tapatalk
Not with Note 9. Bxaction is still sorting through Bixby 2.0. I remapped it as my back button. It works, but its buggy.
Trying Bixby see what it has to offer.

If you're rooted, you can remap the button. Already done with mine and it works perfectly.
This; https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8+/how-to/root-remap-bixby-button-o-app-t3601061
Then you can use Button Remapper, and it will pick up the key.

That is the only reason i want this apk bad! Not having to input my pin/password at home and at my job seems really convenient.
I installed 6.5.85 nnnnn-438
It was updated (by Google) to 6.5.87 nnnnn-430.
I'm unaware of any issues and location unlock is working however it is the case that it doesn't work with lock enable/disable features of Elixer 2 or Power Toggles.
I had -438 installed before and trusted places worked without issues. However, I had poor battery life (mobile radio active), so keep that in mind.

Yes, I read that and decided to try an L version with the closest DPI -- x38.
I had no problems running 85...-438, but as I said *Google* updated it to 87...-430 which apkmirror says is universal (and I still don't have any problems, that I know of).

I installed the 5.85...-438 apk in what I assumed was the standard fashion. After the 5.87...-430 update there's no option to go back.
Maybe someone will upload the 1.88...-730 version to apkmirror.
If you revoke GPS administrator privileges it will allow you to roll back.
I wonder if anyone on the Nexus 6 has received -730? It's been almost a week since the rollout - kind of shocked I don't have it yet AND there is no APK available...

Google pushed 6.5.87 (1599771-430) to my phone. This was also reported by a N6 owner on reddit.
The numbering scheme on apkmirror says -430 is a Nexus 6 with a non-dpi specific resolution. Do you have some reason to suspect Google pushed the wrong apk to my phone?

It's no longer available on the S2 as part of Samsung's continued effort to debloat. You may just want to use Google Voice Search instead; it's significantly faster (but slightly less powerful) than S Voice, but if you absolutely must have it, you may want to try sideloading. Don't know if it works or not, nobody else has ever asked for S Voice!

Wouldn't surprise me, Samsung one who has to call foul on that. But input from user gets their case going. Same issue when Google called foul on Samsung for blocking gapps on their s6, using android only requires openness to gapps.
So do you have it?

The T-Mobile version also has the VZW LTE bands. I read somewhere, that if you launch it first time without a sim in it. You might skip the loading, or installing of carrier bloatware. Nothing confirmed, but a few people theorizing.

The samsung one exploits a feature in Knox. LG doesn't have something like Knox so I doubt it. Probably disables apps you can disable anyways.
I tried that app on the g5 and it didn't work so I doubt it will work on the G6
it works on my V20 and no,i couldnt disable all of services anyway !?!?!
I have this app on my G6. I got it because I the Samsung version worked well on my stock S6. You have to install a "LG Service" plug in app to make this app work. Similar plug-in required for Samsung Nougat devices. It wasn't required for MM and earlier Android versions. I was able to disable the T-Mobile app on my G6 with this. You can't disable the T-Mobile app through the setting>app menu.

Yes, i said I'd make a video but never got to it so I did it really fast this morning.
I didn't add telephony.
I disable LG Calendar, LG Keyboard & LG Clock. I use Google Calendar, clock, & GBoard to compensate.
AnswerMe i believe is gesture answering and crap like flip to ignore/silence calls. Don't need it.
In my opinion, pretty much all the, "smart" crap LG gives their devices is worthless.
I keep the home installed (with app drawer) but I don't use it. I use the Oreo Pixel Launcher or Nova Prime.
Some of the apps I'd disabled in that video you can actually uninstall, such as T-MOBILE TV, T-MOBILE ID, ETC.
I also disable Duo because I use hangouts.

I bought package disabler for the note 8, then it stopped working and had to buy the package disabler plus, then I went to BK package disabler, then now this doesn't work on the note 9.
I ain't buying no package disabler plus or pro or whatever incarnation they call it now out of principal.

How does your response help OP? Your opinion is not what he requested.

Also... you have officially turned your Note 9 into an iPhone from 3 years ago... lol. No mobile pay, no biometrics, no secure mode, no edge.. lol.
I disabled Bixby, tmobile bloat and any unused services running in the background. If you use Samsung pay DONT disable the Iris android service or page won't work.
